.:Birthplace:. Tondc .:Family:. Parents deceased; older brother missing, status unknown, suspected Reaper; no other living family .:Occupation:. Warrior .:History:. Yvette was born in Tondc. Her father was one of the tribe's warriors, but her mother took a more domestic role in life. Between her two children, she had plenty to keep her busy. It was clear from a young age that both of them had inherited their father's warrior personality. They started their training as children, sparring with their father, and quickly moved on to prove their proficiency in actual training.
While Yvette's brother, James, took a strength-over-stealth ability, often proving himself capable of killing a man with his bare hands, Yvette took a wider view of training to be a warrior. She studied poisons and stealth as well as learning how to fight with standard Grounder weapons. Her favourites by far are her daggers, but she is also a proficient shot with a bow. The entire tribe is well acquainted with her skill in throwing and using knives, earning her the nickname 'Trueknife' from some people.
Yvette and the males of the tribe were on a hunting expedition when her father was killed trying to rescue a fledgling hunter from a panther-like creature. He survived the journey back to the village but died soon after. James, Yvette, the young hunter, and several other men from the village who had known their father went on a mission to kill the beast, as blood required blood. They succeeded, and both siblings and the young hunter each took a claw from the creature's front paw as a token of remembrance and victory. While Yvette still wears hers, her brother's is currently hanging on a nail protruding from the doorframe of her home. When he disappeared, his claw was found on the ground near the scene of the struggle. The only other clues to his disappearance were the boot marks in the dirt, suggesting he was taken by the Mountain Men.
Yvette's mother died soon after. Left on her own, and of legal age, Yvette soon found herself the object of much attention from the males in the village. After stabbing one of the more enthusiastic suitors, the others backed off and left her in peace. She has no intention of marriage but has been known to take in several orphaned children until they were placed in appropriate homes.
