Echo and Octavia had encountered each other over and over in this life. First when Echo had lead them all into a trap in Polis and disappeared. Then again when they'd fought and Echo thought she'd killed Octavia thus stopping her from warning Skikru about Azgeda's attack. Later when Octavia demanded she spy for her. And now, on the ship as everyone was moving to get into the pods to 'sleep' in ice. On Earth if you'd gotten frozen in Ice Nation you didn't wake up. This was more of the science that she didn't know or understand. She had to go on faith that it would all end well. That when they turned the machines off everyone would wake up just like they were now.
Octavia was sitting alone, and Echo approached her, moving to sit on the other side of the table before her. They needed to deal with this between them. Once they woke up, wherever that might be, they needed to be ready. Since they were both some of the best fighters, they needed to be ont he same team and ready to move on. Besides, Echo had been Bellamy's lover for over 3 years now. She knew how much he loved his sister. She wanted peace between them so that when Bellamy was ready he could forgive his sister too.
Redemption was something important for her. She had over come all that she had done, including losing honor with her people, to be the woman she was now. Finally free from who she had been. "Octivia," she greeted, and waited to see how the younger woman would react to her sitting here.

Octavia wasn't ready to lie down in those pods just yet. She knew she's have to, just like everyone else, but lying in a pod for ten years terrified her. It wasn't the technology that scared her, although it probably should. She trusted her own fists more than some piece of tech, but she was sure everyone would probably pull through cryo just fine. Ships like this, like the Ark, they worked. They worked because they had to, and because the people that depended on them needed them to. No, Octavia was terrified because of what she'd go through while she slept. Did they dream in there? It seemed only logical that they would. The last thing in this universe that Octavia Blake wanted to do was be stuck in her own head. For a decade. Being awake was torture enough. At least with her eyes open, she might be able to find a way to make it stop. To stop seeing the deaths. To stop seeing everything she had done. Octavia sat at one of the tables in what she assumed was the common eating area of this place. Her hands were clasped in front of her on the table, one leg jiggling absentmindedly. She was looking at her clasped hands, but saw nothing. She heard chatter from the others, movements, preparations, but she didn't want to see. A shape moved to sit across from her, bringing her unfocused eyes back in for a moment. It was Echo. Echo, the spy who'd failed to spy for her. The spy who took the easy way out with the other defectors. The spy who also could have stopped the destruction that Octavia brought her people into. And the spy that loved her brother. She didn't know why Echo was coming over to her, but she didn't think it was for any good reason. Blodreina was hated by nearly everyone. "Just say it and get it over with," she said flatly, returning her gaze to her own hands. "No reason for me to keep you from your beauty sleep."
