Most people didn't loose everything they had, but Mel had lost it twice. First when her station was wiped out and she was the only one left, and now when the Earth was wiped out and she was here. Under the ground. A place she wasn't even supposed to be, but Alekay had saved her.
She was out of their small room, and had been sitting reading a book in a quite area when suddenly there was feet. Stomping feet, and a few of them. Curious, but not alarmed, Mel looked up expecting the feet to pass by her little cubie. She was learning their language, and had been for a while, so she knew enough by this point to understand what they said as they stopped by her little hall and began yelling. They ran at her, and she only had time to jump as they grabbed her.
Apparently Skikru had once again taken the bunker--this time locking everyone but them out of the kitchen. AND she was skikru. It mattered little she was here, and not in there. She was Skikru. Mel pulled and them, and kicked but they were angry, and wanted blood. Right now she was the only way to get it. TAG: Alekay NOTE: Layout to come soon

Octavia was still trying to gain control over the clans but one could not simply erase generations of tension and war. They would not abandon their politics and culture just because they were trapped here. Alekay wasn't one of the aggressive ones but he understood his people's perspective far more than the others.[break][break]
And then Skaikru had locked them out. Great. Just what they needed. Alekay fully intended to stay clear of all this chaos as no good would come of it. Certainly, they would figure out a way to get one. Some were already mindlessly banging on the door trying to break it down. He would not be one of the idiots among them. Instead, he went to his room, not seeing Mel there. Normally, he wouldn't be concerned but with what he saw happening around them, and the target that would inevitably be on Skaikru's back due to some of their people's actions . . . well, Alekay needed to find Mel.[break][break]
[attr="class","sexy_quote"]"Jus drein jus daun ... blood must have blood"
The bunker was big enough to hold 1200 people . . . but it wasn't that big where it would pose as an impossibility to find her. Besides, he knew the places she frequented. Walking down the hall towards one such place he already heard the commotion. His footsteps moved quicker to see that she was being held. By his people. "What are you doing? Let her go." He spoke in his native tongue. The others responded that Skaikru were trying to kill them all by hoarding the food. And that they would return the favour.[break][break]
Alekay stared at them, telling them once more to let her go as she was not a part of this. Reasoning with the logic that she would die anyway if they stayed locked out. The others, were not so amused. They questioned his loyalty, saying that he should stay true to Trikru. Yes. He should. But as soon as the sword was taken out, the blade drawn back in attempt to swing at Mel . . . Alekay had made his decision, without even thinking about it. He raced forward to block the blow, pushing Mel behind him, against the wall. [break][break]
The other one lunged forward and Alekay countered the attack. Part of him didn't want to kill them but they did not hold the same attention. The commotion that now filled the room was that of the clanging of swords and sounds of combat. A sound that would not last long as Alekay pulled the sword of the second man. He locked eyes with him, telling him once again in their language that he shouldn't have made him do it. With the sword still gripped in hand but at his side, Alekay watched the man fall to the ground. Perhaps there were no separated clans after all. [break][break]
He turned to Mel, silently looking over her to make sure she was unharmed. "We need to go to our room," he told her, grabbed her hand with his free one and already pulling her towards the hall. There would be more where they came from. Skaikru were not safe on this side of the bunker. Mel
I'm not strong. Stubborn maybe.
One moment she was scared for her life, and the next . . . she was scared for both of their lives! "Alekay!" They were speaking in grounder and she picked up on a few words. She'd been learning some of it, but with how fast they spoke and how hard her heart was beating, she missed a lot as well. Alekay pushed her toward the wall and her hand reached for his, though she didn't hold it, only letting her fingers touch him. She knew he would need his hands. She'd rather die then make him die. And the sudden realization made everything happening ten times worst. She loved him. Really loved him. More then she had anyone before him. One where she'd do anything if it only meant he was alright. Swords were drawn, and she wanted to scream but was too afraid of distracting him. She wanted to close her eyes but was too afraid that if she took her eyes off him then she'd never see him again.
They fought, and Mel didn't miss that Alekay had not told him that his fight was over. That he had only told him he shouldn't have done this. He reached for her, and Mel nearly jumped to use both of her hands to hold his. Tightly. As they got to their room, Mel ran in, almost pulling him with her since she was too afraid to let him go. Since she tightly held one of his hands with both of her's, and his sword in the other, she made herself let him go so he could shut the door.
Once it was shut and sealed, Mel jumped at him. Wrapping her arms around his middle and burring her face into his chest. Her knew her body was shaking but she didn't care. She loved him. He saved her. He was safe too. For now. They couldn't stay in here for years, but they could for hours. As her breathing slowed she pulled her face from his chest and looked over him to make sure he wasn't bleeding anywhere. His chest, and arms, and finally she looked up at his face. "Mochof," she breathed.
