Just The Beginning

Etera Had heard the rumors of the sky people but hadn't seen any for herself. She knew that tensions were high between her people and the sky people due to them basically invading Trikru lands. Still, she wasn't typically the nosey type. She wanted to avoid the tensions at all cost while she could. But if she was called to battle with the sky people shed be there. But slowly with every visit to Ton Dc she was filled with this burning interest. Her curiosity was growing more and more until every fiber in her being began to scream for her to see them with her own eyes. Giving in Etera Mounted Nian, Gently stroking the site of his neck as she always did before a ride. She could feel his breathe beneath her legs. Taking the reigns she gently directed Nian to head toward the Sky People's location . Sitting with her back straight and her legs adding gently pressure to his sides She slowed Nian to have total control on their journey, only taking control to keep them on track.

With the wind in her hair she was at peace. As she drew closer to her destination she slowed Nian down, petting him. She edged him forward with a slow walk. She knew she was close when she began to hear voices. She quickly slid off her stallions back and soothingly began to pet his neck. "wooow now Nian. Shhh. why don't you head back a bit. But stay within whistle range" With a neigh her turned a began to trot deeper into the trees. With a smile she turned and squatted low in the brush. She could see them all. Some just sitting around and other working. But it wasn't them that had caught her eye. It was the Girl, The girl with fair Skin and a head of black hair cascading down her back. Etera didn't move a muscle, she just sat and watched them. They didn't look like her people but they also did look like her people. She was fascinated with them.  She was going to step out when she realized it might not be a good idea she grabbed some acorns from the ground. Eyeing the air skinned girl she arced her toss so that the acorn would only potentially hit her feet. Hoping this would be enough to make her curious. Etera sat patiently and waited.

Leiana was nothing in not intuitive, so when that rock, or stone, or acorn, or whatever it was, landed at her feet with a dull thus, she'd known what it meant. And she'd known better then to go gallivanting into the forest without any hesitations whatsoever. The trees had eyes and ears, was home to the Grounders. And after one of them had through a spear, a real goddamn spear, into Jasper's chest, only to then string him up as bait, the delinquents had learned to be more careful.

But still she felt their eyes on them every night, watching and waiting for the right opportunity. She moved slowly at first, standing and stretching her limbs, so that it did not immediately appear that she intended to leave the relative safety of their camp. She slowly moved away from the others, brushing a hand against the knife that was strapped to her thigh, and remembering the one hidden in her boot.

As she moved deeper into the trees, eyes scanning the area with limited vision, she called out. "I know you are there." Leiana was careful to not alert the others just yet, but also careful that she stayed close enough to camp to be able to call for backup. "We do not want trouble with you. We just want to survive, the same as you. So I'm asking nicely that you leave before this situation escalates."

Etera stayed still as she watched the girl move slowly towards the trees. She studded her every move until she was barley a few feet away, and then she spoke."I know you are there.We do not want trouble with you. We just want to survive, the same as you. So I'm asking nicely that you leave before this situation escalates." Etera took a breathe and stood up, slowly. "I do not wish to start a fight. I only seek to meet one of the rumored Sky people. To see your people with my own eyes." She stated "My name is Etera kom Trikru" She offered the girl a bow "I have heard the whispers from my people, but I do not wish to pick a fight with anyone." She took a careful step forward. "Please do not call out for the others you're with. As I don't wish to cause fear for your safety. Please, sit with me and tell me where you come from, how you got here. Im not like my brothers and sisters, I am not ruled by the fear of you or the sky people, Just curiosity." Etera sat in front of the girl and looked around her keeping an eye on the rest of the sky people. Not wanting to have to fight with anyone. The wind let a gentle breeze through the threes, the leaves dancing to their own music. The birds singing over head and the sun warming the air. it was a peaceful day and that is how she wished it to remain. She was sore from all her practicing today anyway.

She caught the movement out of the corner of her eye, even with her limited vision. Leiana turned the stranger, making certain that her shoulders were squared and the tremble threatening to make her kneels give out was not visible. It was true that Leiana was not a fighter but she would not make killing her an easy task, not even for a grounder. So when the stranger, Etera she'd introduced herself as moved closer, Leiana was careful to take a step back to keep some distance between them.

"Given what has been done to us by your 'brothers' and 'sisters', I am sure you can understand my hesitations to trust you." Leia said, still watching the woman as she sat down. The others were still close by; Monty and Jasper were laughing loudly, some of the girls were giggling, singing, encouraging drinking games. If anything was to happen they would be there to help. Leiana cast a glance in their direction before retaking her seat opposite Etera.

She sighed softly. "What do you want to know?"
