And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧ Spending a night in the cold, laying on a beach with an injured and irritated John Murphy, after surviving a boat ride across what seemed like an endless ocean, after walking across a seemingly endless desert, had not been her idea of a good time. But this? Finding the lighthouse bunker? That made it worth it. And yeah, okay, Murphy's company was nice.
"This place is amazing!" Leia let out a gasp of disbelief, her eyes wide and tying to absorb as much as possible through limited vision. She was careful as she moved around John, to the little kitchen area where boxes of food weer stacked on the counter - one atop the other. As though on command her stomach grumbled eagerly ad she was tearing into one, ripping the packaging with her teeth and shoving a handful into her mouth like a starving person, and dammit if she wasn't.
Leiana couldn't remember the last time either of them had eaten a proper meal, or showered, or generally been comfortable. "Oh god, John, this is so good." Leia pushed the box across the counter to him, offering some of the biscuits inside. She moaned with delight, popping another into her mouth.
She couldn't help but think screw Jaha, he’d left them there to die by the lighthouse and carried on without remorse to find his so-called ‘City of Light’. But who were the real winners here? The answer to that was pretty obvious. She and Murphy had clearly drawn the better card with the food and alcohol on display.
