Monty walked down the hall, his mind was overcrowded with thoughts and feelings that confused and upset him, because many of the thoughts that entered his mind were unwelcome. He'd been under a lot of pressure in recent days and a lot of that stress emanated from his relationship with Bellamy. Recently his boyfriend had made some questionable decisions, some of those decisions Monty understood, but he couldn't bring himself to agree with them. He understood why Bellamy had assisted Pike in executing the army of grounders but he couldn't pretend that he agreed with those actions. Monty was conflicted, he loved Bellamy but the man that killed those people was not the same man that he'd fallen in love with. He knew that it wasn't just Bellamy that was at fault for that massacre, a number of others had been there too, including Monty's own mother and he'd deal with her later but right now, Bellamy was his focus.

As he entered the room that he shared with his boyfriend, he was surprised to see that Bellamy was already inside, as if he somehow knew that Monty would be looking for him. An involuntary smile appeared upon Monty's face, as it always did whenever he saw the other man but almost immediately it was gone as he remembered why he'd been looking for Bellamy in the first place. "Hey" he greeted, but made no attempt to walk towards the other man "can we talk?" the words were hard to force out, sounding so casual but with so much hidden meaning. Emotions usually got in the way of doing something that needed to be done and this was no exception, but despite the feelings he still held for Bellamy, he wasn't happy with where they were and given how things were progressing in Arkadia, he doubted that would improve any time soon. He had to put himself first, even if that meant doing something painful.
