Tag: Harper McIntyre Note: Better layout coming soon! Hope this is ok! Let me know if you'd like me to edit anything!! whatever THE HELL WE WANT Jasper's words and really resonated in Bellamy's mind. It was after all what prompted him to join the partying; the celebration for . . . nothing in particular. Other than enjoying the remainder of time before the death wave came. Bellamy wouldn't give up, but he was also tired. So damn tired of spending every second of every day fighting. Surviving. Saving people who didn't want to be saved. So he partied. He drank. Without getting drunk.
But enjoying the calm it seemed to give him. The undeniable relaxation he felt. Today, was day two of the partying. Bellamy had enjoyed Bree's company during the first night and now, he had come back the second night, entering the room with a smile and seeing everyone was in still good and high spirits. He saw Harper by the makeshift bar and made his way over. "Looks like everyone's fully recovered from last night," he said teasingly, with a smile on his lips. An expression that he hadn't worn in so long since last night.

Today, being here was the only thing that made sense. For a little while, she didn't have to think about Louis' death or the seventeen others that died with him. She didn't have to think about how hopeless the future was, and how everyone was running out of time. It was why she came back against today - it was nice to feel good when the world was so shitty. Hearing a voice beside her, Harper turned to see Bellamy. So he was here for another round too. Maybe she wasn't so weak then for wanting this like she'd thought this morning when she woke up. Maybe everyone needed a break, something to take their mind off this doomed world. She smiled back at him, enjoying how nice it was to see his seriousness gone for a moment. "Recovered, and ready for the next round," she agreed. Turning her attention back to the bar for a moment, her eyes searched for a clean cup. She grabbed one, turning it over for a quick inspection. It was about as clean as her cup had been, so it would do. "I was wondering if he was still in there, that guy who first landed down here," Harper said as she poured some of the tea into this new cup. She handed it over to him, then picked up her own cup as she leaned against the bar. "At least not everything changes, even when the world goes to hell." She raised her cup in an attempt to clink it against his, then took a drink.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy continued to smirk, a light one but the expression was still there. A smile was not one that came easy, or frequently . . . but these nights of partying, prompted one with so much ease. As if he could somehow miraculously blocked out the rest of the world and all those within it, except for fellow Arkers who chose to live it up the last few days of their lives. Bellamy took the offered drink with a nod of gratitude, taking in Haprer's words as the smile grew a little more. The guy he still was. The one who had been called names because even then, he had put up a front. A wall. A raised guard.
Only when it was crumbled did his emotions get the better of him. Though in truth . . . this was probably the most carefree he had ever been in his entire life. He gently clinked their cups and raising it a bit before speaking. "Whatever the hell we want, right?" He asked with amusement, a reference back to their earlier days. Words that were followed with a gulp of his drink.
"I'm still not sure if it's a good thing for that guy to resurface," Bellamy continued almost jokingly. "But I will say, that it's good to see you smiling again. You, and the others here." The people that he had sworn to protect. But Harper was among the select few delinquents who still remained alive. And for that, Bellamy felt a particular protectiveness towards them. People he had strove to look after, and many he had failed.

"Whatever the hell we want," Harper agreed before taking her drink, the old phrase feeling pretty nice on her tongue. It had been Bellamy's mantra when they landed, and she had taken to it eagerly. In those early moments, landing on the ground had felt like a release from everything her past life had been. She would have loved to live in that early bliss a little bit longer, before the real life on the ground came crashing down on all of them. Now, they just got a little resurgence. What was the harm in that? Setting her cup back down, Harper continued to lean against the bar as Bellamy went on. "Back at ya," she replied, enjoying this lighter side of him even if it was temporary. All of this was temporary, and she knew that in the back of her mind, but it was no reason to enjoy it any less. "And I don't know, I liked that guy. He could still keep everyone together, and he wasn't so doom and gloom. It's the end of the world again, but sometimes I wish we didn't have to be so damn serious about it." It was exhausting, always having to struggle just to keep alive. Nearby, someone turned up the music a bit as a few more stragglers joined the party. It was such a crazy sight to see people enjoying themselves, enjoying one another. Even up in the Ark, when life was comparably simple, it felt like there was barely time for this. Or maybe that was just a skewed vision of having been imprisoned. Whatever it was, the mood of everyone was contagious and there was no reason no to catch it. "Speaking of the opposite of doom and gloom," she began with a grin, raising her voice a little over the music, "I saw you left with Bree last night. Not bad, Bell. I haven't seen you with anyone since..." She paused, remembering exactly who the last girl Bellamy had been with. Gina. That was not a road they wanted to go down at a time like this. So, she quickly continued in an effort to cover it up. "Well, I guess I shouldn't been been surprised to see you back then." Tag: Bellamy Blake
