Leiana is a small woman who stands at only five foot and one inch. She is petitely built, and possesses a willowy frame which gives her the appearance of a fragile doll. Her raven hair frames her narrow face, and cascades down the length of her back.

Her eyes, which are a cloudy blue, are often useless for anything other then depicting emotions. An accident that transpired aboard the ark when she was only a small child has left her partially blinded.

She is entirely blind in th left eye and sees in somewhat blury, muted colours in the right. There is some scaring around the outside of her eyes, as well as on her body, but she attempts to keep this hidden behind her hair.

Leiana has a lightly bronzed completion. She attempts to maintain a neat, and tidy appearance in spite of the situation she and the other delinquents have been forced into.

Leiana is a mature young lady with a natural sophistication and grace. She is soft-spoken and quiet, and rarely dips into the angry or violent end of the emotional spectrum. She draws others to her like moths to a flame with her innocence and naivety.

Many believe it is possible to corrupt her, however, she is not as innocent as she seems.

Because she has been blind from a young age, her hearing has become better. Her quiet demeanor, and small size means others often overlook her. This combination makes it easier for her to discover secrets others would rather keep hidden. Leiana will use these secrets to ensure those that would rather leave her alone in the wilderness are more inclined to offer protection.

Leiana is charismatic and polite, making her easily likable and approachable though she will use both charming words and the hidden truth to manipulate those around her. Strong-willed and independent, she does not often allow others to dictate what she can and cannot do.

She is typically reserved, preferring to take her time getting to know others or to gain their trust. Leiana is a romantic at heart, and enjoys many of the simple things in life, though she is not simple herself. There are times when she can be very emotional, and thus unpredictable. Leiana is reliable and loyal, with a touch of mystery.

Hearing ::
Leiana's hearing is good, really good. She does not always need to be right beside a person to hear what they are saying. She could be across a large room, or lurking outside the entrance, even hidden somewhere nearby, and still be able make out what whispered words are being said.

Knowledgeable ::
Being blind means that Leiana will always be at a disadvantage. She often needs to be escorted between places, or rescued from simple situations but she makes up for this with an array of knowledge. She failed at practical schoolwork but excelled at theory, and now Leiana possesses a mountain of information that is exceptionally useful to the delinquents.

She is able to recall the appearance of plants, and whether they can be mixed into poisons or poultices, and how to do so. She knows that water flows downhill, and how to purify it when it has been tainted. Leiana has a vague understanding of what plants grow best in what seasons. Although she is very knowledgeable, when panicked or pressured she has difficulties recalling information quickly.

Leiana was born on the Ark to parents Raul LaCroix and Clara Fox. Having been their only child she was spoilt, and showered with affection, and gifts. Clara groom her daughter from birth to be a lady of high society with the hopes that one day she would attain a position as Councillor or even Chancellor, though Leiana had aspirations of being a nurse.

Regretfully there has been an accident when she was only five-years-old that had put an end to this dream. Leiana and a few other children her age had been playing tag, and having ignored the warnings of their mothers, entered a restricted zone to continue the game.

It was as the children were running two and fro that a large barrel had been knocked, and split. Leiana and a second girl had been caught in the spill and rushed to the medical bay after the accident had become known to the authorities. There are only a few that know exactly what it was that was split on the girls as it was decided to keep the accident quiet, but it resulted in Leiana's eyesight rapidly deteriorating even after several weeks in the medical bay, and the other girl tragically passing away.

After this accident Leiana became a more withdrawn and cautious individual. She began attending school religiously, and took extra classes whenever possible. She enjoyed escaping life and enjoyed subjects where she could immerse herself in knowledge.

The LaCroix family appeared to be very close, and loving; with the perfect daughter and home life, but all was not as it seemed. The household was plagued with betrayal, deceit, and jealousy. The truth was the union between Leiana’s parents had become loveless, and this would drive Clara to seek love in the arms of other men.

When his wife’s infidelity had become known Raul had flown into a rage. Family portraits were thrown, furniture broken, threats screamed, and somewhere amidst all the arguing he had murdered his wide while their daughter cowered nearby.

Reports had flown in about the domestic abuse, and guards had arrived on seen in a matter of minutes, but ultimately they had not been quick enough. Raul was arrested, and as they attempted to remove Leiana from the crime scene she had lashed out. She had not known who was attempting to move her, and after the murder of her mother, she had not thought before acting.

She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

There are many that believed she should never have been imprisoned given all that had happened. But their voices had not been enough to sway the decision. Leiana spent two years in custody before being send to the ground with the other delinquents.
