Her brother had already warned Sidonia so many times that she shouldn't stray too far from their village. She'd tried to be secretive about her curiosity for that new kind of people who had settled close enough to their territory, but Kay was the one person she could never fool. They knew each other too well with everything they'd been through together, which was rather unfortunate in situations like this one. Sid knew that she had to be careful if she didn't want her brother to tie her up somewhere just to keep her from getting too close to those strangers. At first, she'd just wanted to satisfy her curiosity and find out if what her people set about the Skaikru was true, if they really were just hostile towards them. The more she watched them, the more intrigued she was by them though and so she couldn't just stop her visits to the big steel fence they'd build around their camp.
She used her almost daily scavengings through the woods as a cover for her visits to Arkadia, but she needed to be careful. Kay was still suspicious about how long she stayed away, since the camp was stil about three hours away from their village. She had promised him that she would stay clear of the strangers whom he judged to be too dangerous for her to approach alone and she felt guilty for deceiving him as she would usually never lie to him. She crouched down behind some bushes once she was close enough to observe the Arkers, staying at the edge of the tree line like she always did. Her eyes wandered over the people that could be seen just behind the fence until they found a target. The person her gaze rested on was a young woman who seemed to be about her own age. What caught Sid's eye the most was her long blond hair, the colour was something that could hardly ever be found in Grounders and Sidonia tucked her own red strands behind one of her ears as she watched the girl's hair flow over her shoulders.
