I can throw @rey at her if you want! They're both guards, so they would've known each other vaguely on the Ark. Although Rey comes down with Farm Station, which means they would only reunite three months after the Ark lands. But they could definitely become friends on the ground if you want. Rey's pretty stubborn too and used to people not believing in her because she was a bit of a screw-up as a kid. She's had to fight to prove herself. Plus she lost her grandfather (the last of her family) in the culling and then goes through hell with the rest of Farm Station, so maybe they could connect over grief and the similarities in their personalities once Rey and the others reunite with Arkadia? That sounds like a good idea Is Rey someone who would be willing to approach another person? Because Em is more focused on her work because of their grief and stuck in the guard's formalities. If Rey is the same, we could have them be awkward and all formal with each other at first and maybe they could become friends after a while. Or if Rey is really caring about other people, she could try to get Em to come out of her shell

I don't think Rey would approach Em at first, so maybe they get assigned to do guard stuff together and it's formal at first? And then they can become friends. Rey doesn't have too many friends, but I think she would like Em and would be willing to work a little harder for that friendship when she realizes Em needs someone.

Yes, they could definitely have some kind of mission together and maybe start talking out of boredom or something and find that they have a few things in common
