Tag: cherry1 Note: Bellamy says shut up to Raven SO many times in the show, I felt this thread title was appropriate! whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy felt . . . blessed. To say the least. He was married to the man he loved, and he was surrounded by people who wanted to celebrate this occasion with them. Bellamy nor Jackson had expected everyone to want to. But they had. They were here. They were supportive. And . . . it meant the world to Bellamy. He had been perfectly fine with having a small ceremony with just Jackson and the necessary witnesses, but the fact that so many others wanted to share in this event . . . well, they easily embraced it. Bellamy felt he had an unwavering smile on his face for the entirety of this day. And even the days leading up to it.
Perhaps since the moment Jackson had proposed. He never thought he'd be one to marry, but now . . . he realized it was all he ever wanted. To build a family. To have a spouse, and now, he was proud to call Jackson his husbeand. Proud, honored, and yes, blessed. Making his way through the crowd, there was one person in particular that he wanted to reach out to. She had given them a gift, that Bellamy could not describe just how much it meant to him. But, she meant a great deal to him as well. They had started off at odds -- understandably so -- but she was one of the few people that Bellamy never felt, worthless around.
He loved her, as a friend could, and he had to admit that seeing her here . . . added to his happiness. Approaching her, that same smile remained on his lips as he moved towards her. "Hey," he greeted, knowing this wasn't the first time he had spoken to her, but wanted to open the conversation as such anyway. She had been through so much. The loss of Finn, the loss of Gena, the loss of Sinclair . . . and the physical injury she sustained and dealt with every single day. He admired her tremendously, and today, he wanted to do what he could to express that. "You should know that I don't normally do this," he began to say, as he extended his hand to her. "But would you like to dance?" His mood was too elated to find any potential for mockery in the question. And he wasn't about to think of her leg as a hindrance to this. She was strong, and he currently wanted to dance with one of his best friends on his wedding day.

Raven hadn’t felt this happy in ages. This is exactly the type of party everyone needed and for once she was allowing herself to enjoy it. To just be present in this celebration of love. And she couldn’t think of anyone who deserved it more than Bellamy. He’d always had her back, and now it was her pleasure to be there for him on one of the happiest days of his life. He’d been to hell and back, and to hell again, so if he could make it to here. To this. It didn’t just bring her joy for the first time in too long but it gave her hope too. Maybe the ground didn’t just have to be about survival. Maybe it could really be about actually living.
Seeing everyone bask in the positive energy was enough for now. Even the pain in her hip had subsided. Raven was content to just sit and watch from the sidelines as everyone celebrated Bellamy and Jackson beginning their lives together. She’d already shown them what it meant to her with the wedding gift. Bellamy it seemed though…had other ideas. She watched with a smile on her face to match his own as he approached her. “Hey yourself,” she replied. If she didn’t know any better Raven could almost think he was about to…“Bellamy Blake asking me to dance? Never thought I’d see the day,” I mean come on…she couldn’t not tease him. “Hell must have frozen over,” she added finally putting a hand in his. “Or is it Blake-Jackson now…or Jackson-Blake? So I know how to properly tease you,” falling into their rapport with ease. “For future reference you see.” How long had it been since she’d just joked with him like this…too long. Finally standing, she squeezed his hand, a small display of genuine gratitude for the offer. And it was about damn time she’d been asked to dance.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Seeing Raven smile was such a beautiful sight. There was something incredibly refreshing about it, and it made Bellamy's heart swell with emotion. Relief. That a smile, a genuine smile, and the ability to do so was not entirely lost on his people. Especially those like Raven who had been through so damn much. While Bellamy cared for all of their people, the ones sent to the ground early on held a special place in his heart. So seeing Raven smile after all the trauma, seeing Jasper smile, and Monty, and Miller, and Harper, and all the others . . . it just made this evening even more perfect.
"That makes two of us," he teased her back. The first time they had made any contact, was when he had his hand around her throat when shoving her to a tree. Now, it was clear how far they had come. He gave her a sarcastic smile when she asked what his name was so that she could tease him. "Blake Jackson," he revealed, the words instead causing his smile to grow, trying to hide the way it made him feel so happy to have taken his husbeand's name. But to no avail. Hiding happiness was not something anyone was trying to do tonight, least of all him.
"What, you gonna start on BJ jokes now?" He teased her back, mentally preparing for it, though he knew it was all in good fun. When she took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze, he led her to the designated area for dancing, putting on hand on her waist, wrapping it around her while his other casually held her own. "Have you ever danced before?" Bellamy asked soft intent in his eyes as he looked at her, the soft smile on his lips matching his gaze. He was, curious, inquiring beyond whether he was the first one to dance with her tonight, or if he was the first one she had danced with ever.

The way his face lit up as he mentioned his new surname brought her joy. It was a rare sight for both of them, with the ground usually offering very little to smile about. Though hopefully that would no longer be the case. This wedding represented the start of something new. The start of life. And Jackson was exactly who Bellamy deserved. The happiness they introduced into each other’s lives, giving them more purpose and meaning was just evidence of how perfect they were for each other. She could see that in every look they shared, every subtle glance and comforting touch. “I have a little more class than that thank you very much Mr. Blake Jackson,” she added sarcastically as she stood, unable to resist using his last name now.
She let him lead her from the side lines to the middle of the makeshift dance floor. Laying a hand on his shoulder while holding his with the other. Feigning offence at his question, the poorly hidden smirk beneath it gave her away. “I don’t wanna be arrogant or anything,” she began with a smirk, because really when did she not want that. “But I’m kind of a pro.” The truth was far from it. Other than the clumsy attempts with Finn, she’d never really had much opportunity to try. It wasn’t like she’d ever had a mother to teach her how. Not her mom anyhow. But Finn had always been the romantic, so he’d at least tried to teach her, leaving Raven with some basic understanding of how to properly move. Her problem, she remembered, was that she would always end up accidentally trying to lead. “Good luck keeping up with me Bellamy, you’re going to need it.”
