She had to run. There was an animal when they were looking for more berries, food for the dropship that they desperately needed in order to survive, the remaining kids of the hundred that they originally were - 101 if you counted Bellamy. They were fewer now. Yet still it was complicated. With Charlotte and Murphy things got heated and bad. And she was still not over Wells death. Now with a panther chasing them and no gun to save her this time - with how the bullets have been wasted. She had no choice but to run and soon she was lost. She had no map. No idea where she was. Clarke was simply lost. Completely lost in a world she didn't know.
Clarke had lost track of time when the sun sank beyond the horizon and something else appeared. A light. A light that seemed to rise the closer she got. Soon she realized it was not atop a mountain, but on top of a building. A tower to be more exactly. And with a light there had to be people. They might be dangerous, but maybe she could make positive contact? Maybe she could achieve that they stopped attacking them. If they were the ones attacking them. As Clarke got closer, she found a lively city full of people. It felt like she read in a book. And nobody even looked at her twice. "Hello? Can anyone understand me?"

Clarke Griffin Word had traveled of something dropping from the sky and setting one of the nearby villages alight and in retaliation her people attacked the delinquents - though this was more as warnings for the men in the mountain. Lexa couldn't take the risk of them being allies with her enemy and the reason why she hadn't ordered hundreds of her warriors to storm them was because she needed more information. She had enough to deal with in the way of threats with Azgeda, she didn't need this new and unknown threat coming her way. She'd finished her duties for the day, heading through the streets of Polis to reach the main building of the Commander. Guards flanked either side though a few paces back so that she wasn't crowded when a voice spoke out, cutting through the throng of Trigedasleng. The voice was speaking English, something warriors, ambassadors, leaders and the flamekeeper knew. As she moved towards the voice, Lexa studied the features of the unknown girl and although Lexa could have her killed on sight, she held up her hand, silently telling her guards to stay back. Lexa knew all those who lived in Polis. She knew most of the warriors under her command and the command of the tribe leaders. This girl was not one of her people. She continued to watch as a young boy, no more than six, ran up to the girl and began talking animatedly in Trigedasleng - that was when Lexa strode forth, her mere presence was enough to silence the kid in mid speech. "Heda." He bowed his head respectively, in which Lexa offered him a slight smile. In their language she spoke to him. "You should be heading inside now. Go on." When the boy was out of earshot did Lexa turn to the blond. "Who are you and why do you step foot into this sacred city when you know what happens to those that do not belong?" She spoke in English, her features and tone of voice icy. This girl had mere seconds before Lexa decided one way or another what was going to happen - cut her down, take her prisoner or something else entirely.

The kid that approached her spoke a language Clarke had never heard before. her eyes widened. Could it be that this was all based on miscommunication? Because some words sounded familiar, but she couldn't be sure they meant something similar. Maybe they overheard them say something and it sounded like an intention to attack. Maybe that was why they were in this entire mess. Clarke still watched the kid when someone else approached her. To her surprise - and shock the woman spoke English. So they did understand them. Her entire theory just crumbled.
"What? Sacred city..." They had a culture, clearly, once she accidentally violated. She didn't know what the right action was, but at least the woman - girl - could understand her. "I don't know." She supplied. "I was never here. I don't even know what city this is. I just... I came from the sky. We crashed and I got lost. I... I didn't know this was sacred. I'm sorry." She hoped it would be enough. Maybe others would

What was more worrying was the fact the girl had managed to get into the city. Once she had crossed into Trikru territory, she should have been killed and strung up as a message. Yet here she stood. She didn't wear the clothing that the mountain wore; the garb that protected them from the elements. Her scouts had told her of such things and past kills, as rare as they were, confirmed it.
The girl spoke, which made her even more curious though aware she could be lying just to save her own skin. But the sky, that was something she knew. "This is Polis, the capitol of my people. Which you should know if you came from the mountain." Lexa spoke, watching her to see her reaction, try to feel if she was lying or simply telling the truth. She couldn't just believe her right away. "As much as I'd like to take your word for it, it wouldn't be a very wise thing to do. You could still be the enemy, claiming to fall from the skies with the rest of them."
If she believed without thinking then she wouldn't be a good leader and could very well be putting her people in danger and that was not something she was willing to do.
Her voice was cold. "If you happen to be lying you will be killed and used as a message, make no mistake." As kind as she could be to her allies, she was just as cold to her enemy. An enemy that wasn't under her coalition and therefore she didn't need to be careful on her actions. Killing her wouldn't incur the wrath like if it was one of the clans.
And yet, and yet, if the girl was telling the truth then Lexa might very well have more allies. She needed to be careful on how to proceed her, for good or for ill.
((ooc// I have a feeling Lexa will want to have her arrested and thrown into the cells for a few days while she mulls things over, depending on how things go. She is so wary LOL.))

“The mountain?” Mount Weather? She knew about that? She knew they had been trying to get there. Was that attack on them systematic then? Like Bellamy suspected, like they all feared. “We never made it to the mountain. Your people made sure of that when they attacked my friend. We were just trying to get supplies so we won’t starve.” For a moment she stopped, to think. If they thought they were a threat, maybe she should put it into persepective.
“We’re not enemies! We’re kids. We just wanted to find food. We just want to survive!” But something told her she wouldn’t believe. Why was the mountain such a focal point. “Our ancestors spoke of food stored in the mountain, that’s why we tried to go there. I’m not lying, please.” Yet she didn’t not believe she would be believed. Her case was over before she begun. “Please, come with me, I can show you who we are. We just want peace. We just want a life. If we can survive here our friends and families can, too. Otherwise they will die in space. Please don’t let that happen. We just want to survive.”

Of course they hadn't made it. Once in proper line of sight and territory, her warriors had taken it upon themselves to potentially rid a threat. And use the boy as a warning to the others. While the girl kept talking, Lexa kept staring at her, trying to see if she could tell if the girl was lying or telling the truth. Though she couldn't risk if this was the enemy, what she knew of the mountain didn't fit in with how the girl was behaving. "You crossed into territory. You know what happens." Lexa began and then stopped her line of thinking where it stood. "You would know if you were from the mountain."
She was starting to believe the words. It didn't make sense with what she knew of the enemy. An enemy that was strong and proud and could rain bullets and demons on them if they so wished. Not an enemy who would bow down to the might of the grounders. And now she had a choice to make. She couldn't just follow her now, not without informing those she needed to inform in case this was a trap. It was also starting to get dark and that was not an advantage for her at all. All her thoughts were starting to spin and she had to think of a plan that would be logical and make sense and overall be safe. And she was pretty sure she had thought of it.
"I cannot leave now. And neither will you. I also cannot have you running around the city. For now you will be my prisoner. Tomorrow we leave for your people and if you are lying, I will slit your throat and leave you to Pauna." Lexa made sure to get close enough to Clarke so that she could see how serious she was, how this was not a game to her(and it wasn't a game to Clarke either) and that she would not hesitate to kill if she needed too.

She was still scared. All those people, they were fully armed. And the threat, it hung about her like a sword of Damocles, scaring her more than she ever wanted to admit. The girl obviously held enough power to try and kill them all. But they just wanted to live. All of them just wanted to live in peace and happiness. But how that would work? She did not know. But she was willing to find out. “They are scared.” Clarke added. “They will be scared of you.” But that girl would see that.
“What are you doing with me now?” The girl wanted to know. She was scared. It looked like she was about to be locked up in a really bad place. But why? She had only managed to stumble upon a place and she hadn’t hurt anybody, hadn’t wanted to do so. And now she was scared. Because she could not decide anything now. She was a prisoner, for going to the wrong place. “Can someone maybe explain to me what this place is? I mean… you told me it’s important, but not why or how?” She still didn’t really know anything. But she wanted to. They had a culture, clearly. And she wanted to know about those mountain people she mentioned.

"As they should be." Lexa responded simply. She cared little if they were afraid of her, that meant they were less likely to rise up and do something that would mean their deaths. She was a fair commander, not someone who thrived on killing everyone in her path.
Lexa looked at Clarke and thought over her question. She couldn't put her in the cells because the others would want to tear her apart because of what the might percieve her as. An enemy from the mountain. And until she knew the truth, she couldn't risk that. "You will be given one of the rooms we use for political prisoners. I cannot have you going into the dungeon. Until I know for certain about your words I'd rather avoid having you ripped apart."
She was keeping up with the story, Lexa gave her that. "This is Polis. The capitol of the Coalition. I am the Commander, the leader of my people. The Coalition is made up of the clans that once stood divided." It was the heart of her people, where political meetings were held and were they were safe because Lexa did not allow anyone aside from her most trusted guards to carry weapons. She knew the dangers of that all too well.
