Rylee squeaked and laughed once Atom pulled her on top of him. She snuggled against his chest, and closed her eyes letting the warmth of his body and the blankets keep her content. She laughed again at his words and smiled. She felt his arms loosen around her and she moved herself to get comfortable but hoped he would hold onto her all night. At his words of goodnight, another chill ran up her spine despite her being contently warm. She lifted her head off of his chest and kissed his lips gently. “Goodnight.” And with that, she rested against him and slowly let her heartbeat and breathing match his and drift her off to sleep. ----------------------------------next morning----------------------------------------------- Rylee awoke the next morning not even knowing what time it was. She felt warm and suddenly remembered what had happened the night before. Lifting her head up, she saw the man who’s arms she spent the night in. A blush found her cheeks. She touched Atom’s cheek gently admiring how peaceful and handsome he looked when he slept. She was so happy that he managed to sleep despite being so worried about her. Leaning in gently, she kissed his lips and then rested her head back on his chest smiling again. She was so happy with how the past 24 hours turned out. Sure, she was brutally attacked by a grounder, but she was safe and alive because of Atom. She was still here because of Atom..and now she was in his arms. And that was where she wanted to be.

Atom was still asleep when Rylee woke up his exhaustion had overpowered him during the night, but he could still feel her heartbeat and her breathing and he knew that she was okay. When she pressed her lips against his and then lay her head back down on his chest, his eyes blinked open slowly. It took a moment for him to realized that he now held her in his arms and he did not regret having done so through the night. He gently kissed the top of her head and the nuzzled her gently. "I see you are awake gorgeous. What do you say, we go get some breakfast and then take you back to medical so that they can release you to me permanently. I hope you are feeling better today."

He smoother her hair off of her cheek and hugged her gently, before he kissed her head again. He wanted to give her a feeling of being safe and he had hoped that he'd provided it for her during the night. Today was a new day, and despite feeling stiff from the right with the reaper the day before, he felt fine otherwise. That though made him smile because he could devote his time to spending it with Rylee. He wanted to make up for yesterday and actually have fun out looking for food rather than being chased by the reapers. They seemed to pop up unexpected everywhere. and the made him unhappy. Being alone with Rylee was something that he enjoyed, but here in Arkadia, he was not even remotely alone with her and Make could easily send him out on another mission if he wasn't careful.

Rylee smiled feeling Atom’s lips atop her head and her smile only grew hearing him call her ‘gorgeous’. She lifted her head off of his chest gently and looked up at him. “That sounds great. I feel much better…getting some sleep certainly helped.” She closed her eyes as his lips found her head again. She loved that feeling. It made her feel protected and cared for. She let her body roll softly off of him, but she stayed nestled into his side, staying warm. Her eyes still closed, she spoke. “Do you have a jacket I could wear to medical? I left mine in my room and well…I’ll be freezing.” She laughed softly. She hadn’t thought to bring it with her when they left for his quarters last night. They were wrapped in a blanket and she had his body heat to keep her content. Rylee opened her eyes and looked up him, her smile returning upon seeing his face. She could look at him all day and stay in his arms all night and never tire of it. Something about Atom just made that okay. She leaned up and placed a kiss in the nape of his neck before resting her head back down.

Atom smiled at her as he found her adorable in the morning as well. She seemed to be bubbly and she was all smiley. Normally he was just the opposite but she seemed to bring out the smile in him as well. He had a couple of jackets and she could have her choice. But for right now he was savoring the last few moments with her before they really had to get up He didn't want to because she was so warm and just downright cuddly. When she rolled off of him he protested slightly. "Hey, where are you taking my Rylee blanket?" He was enjoying the fact that she was there, But he also knew that she may have gotten stiff in the night, or it may have just stopped being comfortable for her and she needed to move. "Of course you can have one of my jackets." He held her close to him and inhaled her scent once more so that he could imprint the smell into his brain. Just like her smile was imprinted into his heart. 

He was still hesitant to move. The moments of being alone with her were slipping away and he knew that they couldn't stay here forever, because she had that appointment with medical. But then after? That was a whole different scenario. They could do what they wanted. But he figured that he might at least take her to the mess hall and make sure that she had a good meal before he took her out into the woods again, this time finding that bunker that he was curious about.

Rylee giggled at his words of losing her as a blanket. She wanted nothing more than to just stay in his arms all day and keep each other warm, but unfortunately they had to face the world. And besides, if he wanted to get to that bunker they would have to get moving soon. When he said she could take one of his jackets, she smiled against his side and relished in his embrace. She couldn’t help every emotion that was going through her but she knew that she liked every one of them. She lifted her upper body and kissed his lips gently before sitting up next to him. “Come on…I want to get out of camp ASAP.’” She laughed. “And hopefully not recreate yesterday’s scenario.” She winked and kissed his lips again before regretfully pulling the blanket off of her. But yesterday's scenario is why this all happened. It's why she fell for him. Why he saved her. Why he kissed her. She didn't want to get hurt again, but for him it'd be worth it. Rylee knew that anything and everything could and probably would happen between them today. She was ready. She could tell Atom everything about her and it would be okay. She knew that whatever was happening between them was what she wanted.
