It had all startd with an innocent walk. What could go wrong? What's the worst that could happen? We're not going that far!. Well float them all! Macallan had gotten lost from the group and was now wandering aimlessly through the woods. Navigation wasn't his strong suit and he was doing all that he could not to panic. Grounders were out here! He'd heard stories about weird creatures that lurked about! He didn't have a weapon, and even if he did, not like he was skilled in using it! He could handle himself in a fight, sure, but that was with fists. He wasn't a warrior or someone who could take down a beast or armed Grounder. "Alright, take a deep breath Jay Macallan. You can get out of this. Just, stay sane. Stay alert. Stay safe." Talking to himself helped kill that silence; helped make the air less tense, even though he knew it was practically painting a target on his back. He just hoped he could find his way back to Arkadia before night. Then, he was really screwed. Deciding that talking to himself was too odd -- even for him -- he started singing.
He started singing one of his songs to help keep himself calm. "I promise that one day I'll be around, I'll keep you safe, I'll keep you sound." He paused for a moment, trying to remember if he'd already passed this tree. "Right now it's pretty crazy, and I don't know how to stop or slow it down." Was it just him or were things getting more eerie? "H-Hey . . . I know there are some things we need to talk about." Yup. Definitely eerie. "And I can't stay. Just let me hold you for a little longer now . . . " Oh god was somewhere near him?! "Take, a piece of my--AHH!" His voice cut off as he fell to the ground in pain, clutching at his leg and when he looked down, he saw why. An arrow had pierced him right in the leg and it hurt like a bitch! "I take it back! Don't take a piece of me!" He had no idea who was around but . . . he had a feeling this wasn't going to go well.

Zaliah had been out in search of more herbs to create the elixir she needed to heal one of the more serious wounds. It would help the wound heal and keep it clean as it did heal. But she couldn't seen to find the damn plant that she needed. It had been a struggle to find lately and it was probably because of the cooling temperatures. She made her way deeper into the woods and soon heard the random sound of a boy talking to himself. She perked a brow at him before shaking her head. Skaikru....She let out a soft sigh before looking closer. They were on a three month cease fire, but that...that there was something that would kill him. If she left him to die, would they think she did it, but what if they find out she could have stopped it. Son of a bitch, she had to stop that freaking gorilla from ripping the kids face off.
She strung her bow and let the arrow fly, but the kid was spooked by the sound the panther made. Her arrow buried itself into his leg and she let out an annoyed sigh. "Pauna." She called out to him. As if he knew what that meant. She jumped down from the small cliff she was hiding on and ran towards him. She notched another arrow and struck the gorilla. It when down and turned, running in the other direction. The kid was obviously in pain. She narrowed her eyes at him and put her bow away before putting her hands up. "I mean you no harm...I was aiming for the pauna." She took in a breath before looking down at his leg. It was going to have to be mended or he would get infection and die. But would he trust her....she wasn't going to give him that option. She grabbed the boy around his waist and pulled him to her before picking him up and carrying him towards her hut.

Oh god, oh god, OH GOD! It was one of those grounders! Macallan just stared at her, the first thing she said being some foreign word that he didn't understand. Did she even speak English?! Macallan had heard that some of them didn't. That they had their own language they conversed in. So Jay didn't understand a damn word she was saying. But then . . . she started to speak English. He didn't know if that made things better or worse. "I don't know what a poona is, but if it means person in your language, then you hit your target!" Poona? Payna?!
Whatever that damn word was! Did it mean person? He didn't know. Nor did he care. He was too preoccupied with the intense pain in his leg, trying to figure out how he was going to get back to Arkadia now with an injured limb. But before he had the chance to consider it, she started carrying her off. "Where are you taking me?!" He demanded, though his tone held fear to it as well. "Let me go!" This was so not what he needed right now; to be taken hostage by a Grounder!
