The best about spring was, that the sun was setting early, painting Olympia in a wonderful warm light. Many of their people - which wasn't many yet, but a steadily growing number of people sick of Arkadias politics - brought blankets and food out to the campfire they had in the center of Olympia, the center of their newborn society. One of the first things they did, was fix the dropship. That held everything so far important to their society and it could still hold all of them, in case of a crisis. Larkin loved this time of day. The building was done for the day. The ambassadors of the clans, if some where there, were usually gone or retired to their tent outside Olympias walls, leaving them in their new society alone to enjoy their precious free time.
At this time Larkin usually sat with her friends, more often than not Bellamy these days. It had become a habit for them to consult each other, their different backgrounds allowing them to give each other other and valuable perspectives on things. She appreciated it so much, the feeling of this place being stable and perfect for all of them. And in all honesty, the friendship she had felt for Bellamy had grown so much over time, so much that a simple 'well done' from him could make her blush now, not to mention touches and Bellamy was man who was unafraid of affectionate touches.
Larkin sat down next to the locked man, handing him a bowl of the freshly made soup. He had worked all day, he must be exhausted she thought and so she made a mental note to make sure he wouldn't miss anything that night. "How's the cabins coming along?" Larkin asked him. "Did you even have lunch?" She hoped he did, because if not, well he better run. They had plenty of food at the moment, enough to feed everyone and enough water. They even had the luxury of having fruit to add taste to the water and tea.
Just as she had been about to take a spoon and start eating, one of the boys guarding the gate came over. "There is someone here for you, Bellamy. From Arkadia."

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Olympia. A place that started off with just a couple but was growing each day. While they weren't at odds with Arkadia, this place held a different kind of significance. With everything that had happened at Arkadia, or more specifically the people within it . . . the place had no longer felt like a home. But Bellamy knew the last straw was when they had agreed to be in the coaltiion as the 13th clan. That was not something Bellamy could ever support. He had given up his position in the guard shortly after returning from Polis, and took it even further, coming here with Larkin and the Cadets who had risked their lives to save him.
His loyalty would always be to his people, all his people, but here . . . they were building a life that was not revolved around Grounder leadership. They had been proper ties with the others, offering the exchange of goods and services, establishing peace in their own way. Peace was not dependant on submission, and this was something Bellamy felt strongly about. Fortunately, with the support of Larkin, they were succeeding. And this place was turning into a wonderful one. Into a home. After a day of work, he sat down next to the person he was perhaps closest out of all the others. He gave a small smile of gratitude as he accepted the soup.
"Thank you," He responded, genuinely grateful. The day had been filled with building cabins and while there was good progress on that front, it would still take time. He was just about to take the first bite, when one of the males approached and said that someone from Arkadia was here. Bellamy paused for a moment, immediately setting the bowl down and making his way there. He glanced at Larkin with a nod, assuring her that she didn't have to come but that she was more than welcome to. He didn't keep secrets from her. When Bellam
y went to the gate and saw who it was, he nearly paused. But was composed. Stoic. He supposed he had never fully forgiven Clarke, and while they were healing, he also needed the distance from her. Being too close, meant he would be too emotionally vulnerable with her again and . . . he couldn't survive something like her leaving again. "Clarke," he greeted. They weren't on bad terms for the most part, but he didn't know how this conversation was going to go. "Everything alright?" He asked, wanting to make sure the others were ok. That was always his first and foremost concern.

It took a while for the rumors to spread. Even longer for Clarke to grasp how real this was. There was a settlement at the dropship. They were building huts! While she had nothing against them being their own group, it was time to get back to their people. They couldn't split! And worst of it: Their deals with the grounders were not according to what Arkadia had set up, what she had fought for. And with the situation slowly heading towards escalation again, she had to go to the settlement, not even knowing the name yet and not really caring about it. In her eyes it was time they helped their people. They hadn't so far, hadn't helped with the harvest or the talks with the grounders. They needed them now, for the numbers and in part for the deals they had struck with the grounders by themselves.
She saw the panic in the eyes of the young guard as she demanded to speak with Bellamy. It took a while of waiting until the gate was opened and she saw her friend, but now alone. She didn't even bother to really look at the girl. She had been factory, she had heard, if she was the right girl. But she couldn't know. Her father, as far as she knew - or mother? - was still in Arkadia. Well she was not the one she hoped to influence. That was Bellamy. So she had to do this as cleverly as possible. That was not easy when they weren't alone.
"Bellamy... it's been so long." She whispered. "You're missed in Arkadia." And he was, by his friends, some had already come here, too.

In all honesty, Larkin wasn't thrilled to hear that someone from Arkadia came to see Bellamy. It sounded so ominous and weird. Who came to see him, why did they not have their name announced? Was it his sister Octavia? Maybe she had come to her senses and now rightfully feared her brother might be mad? It was hope on her part, because she, like many others, could see that he cared about his sister, but what had been done was harsh and he was rightfully upset about it. Larkin felt that the more he let it stir in him, the more it hurt him, seeing it from the distance was better in terms of understanding, but the pain remained, which was one of the reasons, why people tried to distract him. And he had his work to distract him.
Larkin followed him to the gate, wanting to be a support if he needed. She could always leave again. But right now he might just need someone there. The moment she saw the person from Arkadia, she knew she had to stay. Blonde, blue eyes, soft and caring to Bellamy. That HAD to be this Clarke. She knew it before he said her name. And she knew it was bad news. She as sickeningly sweet. Given that it was no secret where Bellamy was, it made her pause. She could have seen him whenever she wanted, but Larkin didn't say anything. She would chime in, if Bellamy threatened to fall for her charms and manipulation.
"It's nice to meet you, Clarke. Welcome to Olympia. What can we do for you?"

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy no longer trusted himself in front of Clarke. Two women that he was incredibly close to, also had the most power to hurt them. He knew he himself was to blame for that . . . but he couldn't endure it any longer. He couldn't let it keep happening. So when Clarke started off by saying that it had been a while, and that he was missed . . . he had an idea as to where this was going. Slightly clenching his jaw, he remained silent until Larkin spoke, glancing at her for a brief moment before deciding how to best proceed with this conversation.
"Let's go somewhere more private," he said in a low voice, already turning to make his way to the dropship, knowing that he didn't have to ask if Larkin was coming. She had saved his life and they had no secrets from each other. The dropship had turned into the main center for Olympia, a central location, better formed and organized than when they had initially gone to the ground. Once they were inside and away from the door, he turned to face Clarke, his arms folded across his chest. "Why are you here, Clarke?" He asked, the question similar to the time she had come to Arkadia, claiming to have needed him.
Though thi stime, his voice was less emotional, more calm and composed. Not demanding but not wanting to bull shit either. Straight to the point, as always. For somehow he knew, that this was no casual trip to Olympia. She needed something from him. She always needed something from him. And it wasn't as if she was the only one either. It made him all the more grateful for Larkin's presence for as he thought before . . . he didn't trust himself alone with Clarke. She and Octavia held a power over him, and he wasn't entirely certain he was rid of it yet. He would always care for them, he would always love them . . . but he couldn't do this anymore.

Straight to the point it seemed. But straight to the point was not good. It was lacking emotion. Now the dropship that was once a place of their partnership held another so obviously. Bellamy didn't come alone. The girl with him held back, she could see that, but she could also see that the girl would back Bellamy, if needed. She shouldn't let it be needed. She couldn’t let it be needed. Their people needed Olympias support now. They needed him back. If they slipt now, it might be the end of skaikru as they knew it, at the same time, she had the feeling that they might not care. She had to treat carefully. If they thought she really needed him desperately, there was the chance that they might deny their people the help they needed, might let them die. Bell couldn’t let them do that.
“Can’t I just come see my old friend?” She asked. She noticed the girl cock her head and raise and eyebrow, as If she wanted to answer the question instead of Bellamy. Well, maybe she did. “Things are hard in Arkadia.” She pointed out. They would not get easier soon. Olympia even had better resources, if Clarke was honest. It was their diplomacy with the grounders. They somehow avoided war despite defying them often. Somehow it worked and she had o idea how. “We miss you there, Bellamy. They miss your competence.”

“No you can’t.” Larkin answered plainly. She didn’t trust the girl. Not with this. She had a penchanct for using people as far as Larkin knew. And she would not sit idly by and let her use Bellamy. So no, she did no believe for a second, that this was the only reason Clarke was here. In fact she had a pretty good guess why she could be here. Yes, some of her people might miss Bellamy, his leadership and inspiration. And his skill to not take the grounders shit anymore. They had established something good, something better. She could imagine why Clarke was truly here. She was here for that!
“You want Bellamy to fix your problems in Arkadia, don’t you? You see how well he is doing here. If you missed him, you could have seen him when he last visited Arkadia.” And as far as she knew, she hadn’t. Clarke wasn’t here because of friendship. She was here for his skill, nothing else. This was just the girl. Or something majorly made her different. She doubted it. “And we have radios. You could have radioed in.”
