.:Personality:. Sinclair is respectful towards his superiors and is willing to follow orders but is also unafraid to question those orders if he does not agree with them. He is a man that cares for his people and despite the challenges that the arkers faced on earth he wanted to hold onto his humanity and avoid doing anything that he might be unable to come back from. Sometimes he is torn between doing the practical thing and what his heart tells him to do.
.:Special Skills:. Sinclair is intelligent and a talented engineer which is shown through the work that he did on the ark, helping with monitoring the delinquents after they were sent to earth and then later helping to figure out how to send the rest of the ark to earth.

Sinclair grew up on the ark and led a pretty uneventful life, he kept to himself most of the time and started work in engineering at a young age. He slowly progressed, climbing the ranks in engineering until he finally reached his goal of becoming the chief engineer, being the most senior engineer on the ark. As part of his duties in engineering it was his job to mentor some of the new recruits that wanted to become engineers like himself, if they passed the exams including the medical. This was where he met Raven Reyes, she was a young girl who dreamed of a life in engineering, she was determined and had a fiery personality and Sinclair immediately saw her potential. She was definitely smart enough to achieve anything she wanted with her test scores being so high. However it was discovered after her medical examination it was discovered that she had slight heart murmur and the arks doctor was reluctant to pass her. Fortunately, Sinclair overruled this arrangement, Raven had such a brilliant mind and he could not allow it to go to waste just because of a slight birth defect that probably would never affect her anyway.

Sinclair had a wife whom he loved deeply, however unfortunately she died on her journey to earth, having travelled in a different part of the ark station than her husband to get to the planet. Sinclair mourned his loss silently, having to keep his grief to himself and 'move on' as there were bigger problems for him to worry about, his people needed him and he could not afford to wallow in his grief. To survive they needed to get the fences up around their new home before the grounders could attack, enemies were everywhere and the time to grieve would come later.
