Raven groaned in frustration. This stupid machine was only giving her dead ends. The firewalls alone were going to take too long to crack let alone the time it would take to actually start looking for the program. It was time A.L.I.E didn’t have and Raven was not about to return empty handed. Not after everything she’d done for her. This was the least Raven could do for and dammit she refused to stop until she figured it out. The absence of the pain that used to radiate from her hip down to her leg constantly reminding her of what she owed the woman in red.
Whatever it takes. Even if that meant facing a potentially uncomfortable situation. But Raven knew it had to be done. After the millionth attempt at cracking the code she knew deep down it needed an engineer’s mind to work. And it had to, not only be the best but be someone Raven knew well enough to trust and help them. “Wick, do you have a second?” She asked, leaning her head on the frame of the entrance to his workspace. An area she’d avoided since…well since they’d last spoken. It hadn’t been an easy conversation, but Raven didn’t want to think about that right now. She needed to keep her mind concentrated on the task at hand, no matter how awkward it might become. Wick was her best shot, and she would make sure he helped them. By any means necessary. The City of Light was all that mattered now. It was her job – nay, duty – to make this work. It had to work.

Wick had spend his first few months on the ground playing prank on everyone for a mutual laugh. He had spend the next few not laughing. The amusement of little things were hard to enjoy when he was suffering from a a broken heart. He'd lost the girl. Which had left him mostly avoiding things for a while. Which was why he was currently sitting in his work space, and working on tinkering up a gardening plow that might let them plant things easier. Where on the Ark he had not really built everything but planned it and let others built here--here there was limited people and everyone took on more work.
He was trying to work on a pully system for it when her heard a voice. Not a voice. HER voice. His back was too the door, and he didn't turn at first. He just paused what he was doing and wished he was the ability to work drunk so things like this wouldn't surprise the hell out of him. Then again, seeing Jasper walking around made him glad he didn't drink. Kyle turned around to face her, but only for a moment. "Rayes," He greeted since she hadn't started with hello or anything. Which wasn't really expected, but they were past the friendship part of who they were. "Yeah." He had a Minuteman. Turning back to his work so he didn't have to look at her, Kyle tried to remember what the hell he had been doing. Instead he just started taking it apart so he didn't have too think too hard about his work. He'd missed her, but he couldn't bring himself to look at her right now. It was a reminder of what she gave up when she pushed him away.

The tension in the air was so thick she could probably slice a knife right through it. Even with her mind occupied by her task, she still couldn’t ignore the uncomfortable air. Just standing here gave her goose bumps. Walking further into his workspace at his affirmation, she sighed. He could barely look at her. It was so obvious that he was in pain. That he had suffered, because of her. All that she could think about was how all that pain could be taken away with Jaha’s key to the city of light. In time Wick would understand, he would take the key just like she did, just like everyone else would.
But that would have to wait. She was here for a completely different reason. Walking around his chair she sat on the edge of the table in front of him, slightly invading his personal space, and forcing him to look at her. Every move she made was deliberate and key to getting him to help her. It had been so long since they’d spoken, since she’d really seen him. She could barely really even remember just how long it had been. “I have this thing, well it’s more of a job really,” she started to explain, cutting right to the chase. Preferring that approach rather than awkwardly beating around the bush. “I could really use some help.” Not words she said very often, if ever. It was a risk, who knew how he’d react after all this time. “I need you,” she said at a lower tone, leaning forward slightly. It was mean, manipulating his feelings for her. But it was necessary to get the job done. He would forgive her...eventually.
