Opening her eyes, Nic yawned. She lay there, staring at the ceiling, thinking about a dream she just had. She didn't really want to get out of bed, but knew she should. She had duties to adhere to, and peacekeeping to do. The usual. She dragged herself out of her daydreams with a loud sigh she sat up, drawing the covers from her. Today was another day. She stretched lightly as she swiveled her body around, her good leg swinging over the edge of the bed. She reached absentmindedly over for her prosthetic, which was leaning against the small beside table. She grunted a small, "ow" , as her hand hit the table, something that was rather unexpected for her. She frowned as she glanced to her left, and couldn't see her leg. It wasn't there. Glancing at the ground she began to feel a bit nervous. Where was it? It wasn't on the ground either.
Then she started to get angry as her eyes shifted around the room, not finding her leg anywhere. "Where in the-" She started, glaring even though no one was there. The anger that built up in her system was rather rare, as she most certainly wasn't an angry person. She begun to swear like crazy, and loudly too. If people outside they would have thought something crazy was going on. She was mad. Her leg was lost. It had to have been stolen. No other way. She wasn't one to lose the only thing that kept her alive. Sure the thing was a freaking pain in the ass, but at least she was able to work, and go for walks. She could live.
Standing up she placed her hand on her bed, which helped stabilise her. It was rather an uncomfortable position, but it was necessary, she had to reach her closet and grab some pants. Hopping and leaning against things she managed, and leaned her back against the wall and tugged her pants on. It was weird, seeing her right side all empty. The fabric not able to cling onto anything except thin air. She also put on her left shoe, no need for the right one at all. Bitterness was settling over her body as she glanced around her room for something to use as a crutch or walking stick, but there was nothing. Gah. She wanted to punch something. But she didn't have time. She had to go talk to the one person she knew would help her. Bellamy.
She ventured outside her door, and leaned against the walls, keeping herself upright. Since it was the morning most people were getting ready for the day, and a lot of them gave her weird looks as she hobbled along, slowly. She swore under her breath as she continued on, but finally made it to Bellamy's door, pounding on it. "Bellamy!" She said loudly, hoping like hell he was there. She didn't want to go find him somewhere else. She didn't have time for that.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy had an early start to the day. He had a check up with Abby first thing, and then had to do a training session. Granted, he wasn't actually able to partake in the training due to his injury leg. A sore spot for him. Because it prohibited him from attending the summit that Kane and Abby would be going to. On the one hand, he had been relieved to know that Clarke was alright. Even if he had gotten stabbed from it, at least she was safe. On the other hand . . . he should be going. He should be there, with the rest of them. But Kane told him he wasn't going, and Bellamy knew it didn't have to do with his damn leg.
It was about following orders. And Bellamy had defied them when he took the dead warrior's clothing and marched through the Azgeda army. It had been worth it . . . even if he was now suffering the injury from it. He hadn't been in his room long, when he heard a pounding at his door, and a familiar voice on the other end. Concern filled him right away as he limped the few steps over to the door, opening it to reveal Nicolette.
Before he could say anything though, he immediately took notice of her missing prosthetic limb. His gaze didn't linger on the empty space though. They glanced there for only a brief moment, before his eyes rested on her face and he stepped to the side to grant her entrance. Whatever happened, he figured that this was a conversation better had in private. "What happened?" He asked, getting straight to business as he pulled up a chair for her so that she didn't have to travel far to sit down.

Nic sighed audibly when Bellamy opened the door. Suddenly her anger faded when she saw his face, and realised just how stupid she was being. She felt rude, for impeding. He glanced down at where her leg was supposed to be and glanced up at her face instead. He took a step to the side and she placed her hand on the doorframe, hobbling in. He asked her what happened while he grabbed a chair. It was nice, that he had immediately thought about grabbing a chair. But she didn't think much about it as her anger returned.
She hopped over to the chair and sat down, crossing her arms over her chest, giving a small huff of breath. "Oh. You know." She shrugged. "Someone stole my leg." She said it with a slight bitter undertone. There was no nice way to say it. She wondered how he would react. This whole incident was ridiculous, and Nic had no idea who could have taken her leg. It was such a strange and unfortunate thing to do.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Once she was sitting, Bellamy leaned folded his arms across his chest, listening intently as she revealed what had happened. Someone stole her leg? He supposed that made more sense that her simply misplacing it -- since it dind't exactly seem like something that a person could easily lose. So someone had stolen it. What a damn stupid thing for them to do. They did have a lot of immature people here though; young minds. Kids being kids. Not that he was justfiying their actions.
"Who the hell would wanna steal your leg?" He asked, the question almost sounding obsurd after he heard it, though quite literal in this case. He wondered if there were any leads, if she had noticed any saying something teasing about her situation. Or someone who even threatened to do so. He was already determined to help her, so the more information he could get, the better. Including her past intereactions with the Arkers to start compiling a list of people who may have taken it . . . or even know who would.

Nic couldn't help it. When Bellamy asked her the question that they were both thinking, she laughed. It was the most ridiculous question anyone had ever uttered. She shrugged, her laughter dying. It hadn't been a nice laughter either, once filled with an angry undertone. What could her answer be? She had tried to think about it. But she hadn't come up with anything. "I have no idea. It's probably just a stupid prank by some punks who take joy out of making other people suffer." She said a little bitterly, and then stopped herself short. Woah. She had never acted like this before. Not even when her leg had to be amputated in the first place. She shook her head and let out a long, deep breath. "Sorry."
She glanced down at her feet, or rather, her one foot and crossed her arms over her chest. "I probably shouldn't ask for your help. You need rest. I'm sorry." She stood up, and leaned a hand against the chair as she hopped around it. "I'll try searching it on my own." Now that her anger was gone, her head was clear. She couldn't ask this of Bellamy. This was a mistake.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Her laughter was a surprise and yet wasn't at the same time. He supposed everyone had their own way of dealing with the trauma of Earth. Whether it be just the landing itself, or the events that followed. Though, even with that in mind, it didn't justify someone taking her leg. Nicolette then apologized and rose to her feet -- or foot -- as Bellamy did the same. "No, it's good you brought this to me," he told her. He'd known her on the Ark, and he was glad that she at least felt comfortable enough with him to come and bring this to his attention.
"Technically, this falls under the crime of theft," he further explained. "And coming to the guard, is a good call." He was trying to slightly lighten the mood, but knew that the only thing that could really fix it . . . was finding the missing prosthetic limb. He moved closer to her, putting a hand on her shoulder in attempt to comfort her, and for her to see the sincerity of his next words. "I'm going to do everything I can to help." And find the leg. Besides, it couldn't have gone far. No one dared leave the gates of Arkadia unless they were cleared to do so. He lowered his hand to his side once more, not wanting to waste a moment. "Is there anyone in particular you're suspicious of that we should check out?" Someone who had threatened to do this? Wise ass punks that she'd noticed capable of this? They needed to start somewhere.
