.:Physical Appearance:. Levi's background is predominantly Korean and Japanese, though his family is Canadian. He has dark brown hair and almond shaped black eyes that are normally tired and bored. He is of average height and build and does not stand out amongst most crowds, though that has never really been a setback. He is attractive in his own right, and has always drawn confidence from his appearance. He cares a little too much about his hair and physical appearance though. You would think he would have other things to worry himself about besides his looks, but he can be quite a diva about it. He is always clean cut, especially now with the ability to keep himself groomed. It's a trait he inherited from his mother. He was taught to always always look his best.
.:Height:. 5'11
.:Portrayed by:. Kim Myungsoo

.:Personality:. Harsh and downright rude are some of the words used to describe this delinquent, and you can bet he doesn't give a damn about your opinions. His whole life he's been treated like trash; by the ark, by the people he was sent down to earth with; by the doctors of mount weather and by the grounders who think that they can desert him and his people and then suddenly be okay. No. He deserves a little cynicism. For what he lacks in social skills he makes up for with his authenticity. He cares, so much for the people of Arkadia and even the grounders who stuck by them- though every word of sincerity is paired up with a sarcastic remark. His defenses are always up. He wouldn't let them down for anyone as it seems whenever he has, it has always backfired in his face. As much as he cares, he tries not to. Caring about people down on the ground only brought pain when they inevitably died in front of you. You can't do shit about it either... That's why he's 'rude' and 'harsh'. He is what his world has made him into.
.:Special Skills:. What skills that Levi has are skills he learned on the ground. He was imprisoned when he was ten years old, so he never even really had a chance to finish school. Since coming to the ground, he has learned to grow food from the farming community as well as fish. He enjoys fishing, since it's quiet and mostly done alone. Another skill he had to learn on the ground was the ability to fight. He doesn't know how to make weapons, but he can use what he is given and what is in the environment to defend himself and his loved ones.

.:Birthplace:. The Ark
.:Family:. Obviously, he is an only child. His father was a factory worker, and his mother was sent down in the Alpha Station and survived the fall to earth. His father was sacrificed to save air. Neither Levi or his mother Jina care much for that decision. There is a healthy amount of resentment felt towards those who made it. His father was always the noble type. It's no surprise that he volunteered to die. After the dropship landed and the hundred went through hell, Levi 'adopted' a little sister named Kendall. Not really, of course, but she's twelve years old and he's been protecting her since the beginning.
.:Occupation:. Dishwasher
.:History:. || CONTAINS MILD, LABELED SPOILERS FROM SEASON 2 & 3 ||
Levi was born on The Ark like so many others. His parents were second generation, and had so many good intentions for him. His father was a hard worker, as was his mother. They both worked in the factory; repurposing recycled wares. From a young age, Levi learned that bloodied and callused hands were the hands of a true worker, and at the time he thought his parents were noble. They worked so hard for The Ark-- they had to be just as important as the guards or the counsellors... but he was wrong. There were times that he understood what lower, working class was. He was only four years old when the first rations cut of his life occurred. Broken machinery caused food production to lapse and water refining to sputter. While they were being repaired, the lower classes were lucky if they were fed. The farmers had their ways of feeding themselves but the factory workers were given next to nothing. Levi remembers this, because he remembers the fight when his father broke the law and stole Levi extra rations when he was ill. His mother was so angry, she struck him and cried... Levi didn't understand that his father could literally die for stealing his son a glass of water.
For the rest of his life on The Ark, life went by in a blur. He went to school every day and learned about unity and earth, and all the things he would never get to see in his lifetime. Lapses in food and water became a yearly struggle, but somehow they made it through with bloodied hands and hungry bellies. It wasn't until he was ten years old that he really understood the consequences of criminal acts, though. It was another food lapse, and his mother was sick as hell... His father was being watched under suspicion of stealing, so Levi took it upon himself. He stole materials from the factory to trade for rations-- but the woman he traded with told on him, and just like that he was locked away for the next eight years. There was no hearing, or mercy for his tender age. He was a thief- a criminal. If he had been eight years older he'd be floated for sure. All for stealing some water and soy bread. His time in prison gave him plenty of time to think about the system that put him there. He wasn't always in solitary, but he prefered it. It gave him time to think; to hate and to plot against the guards. He hated The Ark, and everything it stood for. He wished that all those upper class freaks would float themselves to save air. Of course that would never happen.
His seventeenth birthday was the last day he saw his parents. They visited him, brought him a gift and they spent the day together. Days later, guards came barging in with the damn wristband. They took him from his cell and shoved him on a ship with the other 99 prisoners from the ark... They were going to kill them. That's what it was. He didn't believe the damned chancellor for a moment when he saw that god forsaken tape. They were getting rid of the kids in a 'legal' and 'PC' way. Whatever it took to save air. Whatever it took to sleep at night without feeling like they were killing 100 kids. There were children on the ship. He remembered looking at these kids; seven, eight-- some maybe younger. As the ship plummeted to earth, that's all he could remember thinking... They were killing kids that hadn't even lived a decade. Sons of bitches.
They didn't die though. At least, not all of them. Not from the impact or the radiation... The grounders didn't even kill them all- but for a long time it felt like every single day was a new struggle. He watched in silence as they all fought over the wristbands. He was quick to have his removed, but only so that he could get enough food for the younger ones who seemed to be ignored through it all. They were all animals-- victims of circumstance, but still they were all animals that were thirsty for blood. Even he couldn't deny his own anger, which he took out on the grounders as soon as he had the opportunity. Truthfully, he needed to fight. The rage that had built up inside him for seven years bubbled just under the surface of his skin... he only felt better when he was stabbing something; punching something-- or pushing himself so hard it was borderline cruel. The only time he really had a distraction from that need was when he was with the damned kids-- specifically a young girl named Kendall who was too soft spoken for her own good. He did his best to keep her safe.
**Mount Weather** When the mountain men came, he honestly thought that they were all dead. He even accepted it. After all the fighting and the violence, all he wanted was for it to be over. That isn't to say that he was suicidal... he just had lost the motivation for survival. In a wicked way, the mountain men saved his life. When he woke up, clothed and safe he thought it was some kind of miracle. For the first time in nearly a decade, he was among regular people that fed him and treated him like one of their own. They didn't treat him like a criminal or a menace to society...
There was no hunger; no pain in Mount Weather, so forgive him for wanting to believe in it. When they turned on the sky-born kids, he fought as hard as he could against them, even though they lost in the end. He had two bone marrow extractions after they caught him and once again, he accepted that he very well could die. It was a dark time... Mount Weather made him realize how hopeless he really was when there was nobody he could protect. The most he could do at the time was take the place of the younger ones... He could plead with the doctors and scientists to leave them alone; use them last. They wouldn't survive it... Damned kids. He'd never forgive The Ark for sending them to this place. Then Clarke saved them. Clarke always saved them. She got the revenge that Levi was hungry for... but when he got back to camp, where everyone from The Ark was waiting for them, he realized... she killed hundreds of innocents. Those kids... really didn't have to die. He acted like he didn't care at the end of the day. He was safe and so was Kenny.
**Camp Jaha/Arkadia/Season 3** His mother was there with open arms. He still remembers how wonderful her rough, factory working hands felt on his arms when she hugged him. Truthfully, he never wanted to leave her side after that. She became a mother to some of the younger kids from the hundred, and always made sure they were given a fair shake. The little ones were easy to overlook. Levi tried to be a big brother type, but after a while he became a bit of a loner. He would leave Arkadia on his own to fish or walk through the woods... the grounders were just... gone it seemed. Well, besides that one who was shacking up with Octavia. After a while he fell into his mundane daily routine; breakfast wash up, dinner washup, serving meals and cleaning up tables. Bellamy had been right before... at the very beginning. They weren't giving Levi any fancy jobs or recognition for whatever he gave. He was still a scrappy teenager who got about as much respect as you would imagine. His silence put him on the back burner, but you can see everything from there.
Levi stayed safe with his mother and Kendall in Arkadia when the ice nation assassinated their people. He wasn't surprised, but he also recognizes the difference between the grounders they were allies with, and the ice nation. Sure; he doesn't like the affiliation at all. He still hates the grounders for the hell they put them through in the beginning. They abandoned the rescue mission at Mount Weather for chists sake... But he still knew the difference. With tensions running so hot right now, Levi's side has silently been chosen. He's with Clarke. Not that she's with them... He has done his best to explain to his mother why siding with the new voices of anger is a bad idea... but things are chaos right now. Levi wants nothing to do with it... so, he just... drifts; exists. Until the day comes when he needs to fight again, he's going to stay where he is. Still; he thinks that the new chancellor is an idiot... Time on Earth did a lot to Levi... but he's learned that an alliance with the woods clan and whoever the hell leads them is the right choice. Like they stand a chance against the Ice Nation... Idiots.
