Today was an important day. It was time for some planning. A plan to get the delinquents out of Mount Weather. It was such an important job, and she was honoured to help out with the planning. She was glad to be able to help. She didn't have a lot of experience with things like planning, other than the stories in her mind, but she hoped that she could come through for Clarke and the others. She wanted to be useful.
Nic took a deep breath just before she entered the planning room. It was all so official, and she seemed to be one of the first ones there. She wasn't surprised, that was her, always early for everything. So she waited around. Clarke had approached her earlier that day to help with the planning, which had surprised the guard. But Nic accepted readily. It was strange to her, to have Clarke be in a higher position than her, when only months earlier Nic had been in that higher position. How times had changed. She didn't mind. Clarke seemed to be a natural born leader, and she seemed to have grown up a lot while she was down on the ground. In a good way. And now here she was, after escaping from Mount Weather. Crazy, crazy times, Nic thought to herself.
She spotted the girl and approached her, giving her a small smile, hopefully to lighten the mood just a little. "Hi, Clarke." She paused a moment. "Thanks again for letting me come along." It seemed that their relationship was built on some sort of mutual respect, which seemed to make everything a little bit easier. It meant Nic could easily talk to her, and would just as easily die for her, protect her, because that not only was her job, but with that respect it would be easy, no doubt about it. It was because Clarke was a good leader, from what she's heard and seen.
