whatever THE HELL WE WANT Don't screw this. That was what Marcus had told Bellamy and well, he sure as hell hoped he didn't. They had one shot at this and one shot only. He needed to say what was necessary, and even more importantly . . . do what was necessary. He had to calmly and rationally explain Clarke's involvement in Tondc, as well as her involvement in Mount Weather. He had to offer his own services to them, and in turn . . . allow them to use him as leverage should they not claim Lexa's life. But, he was focused. Driven. And meant what he said. He would help them however he could. He took a deep breath, removing his weapons for it would save them from getting confiscated by the Grounders. They couldn't afford to lose their weapons. Bellamy gave a nod to Miller who was with a few of the other guardsmen at the gate.
Clarke was back here and they could protect her . . . not with gunfire and war, but with a far more logical and strategic approach. This, would not be a Finn fiasco all over again. Bellamy stepped passed the gate and started his journey to where the Grounders were setting up. One shot, that was all he had. He held his hands up to show that he was not armed or going to reach for any weapons, but the Grounders doubt was legitimate as they started to pat him down to look for anything akin to a weapon.
Gun. Dagger. Anything. But Bellamy had made it a point to carry nothing on his person. "My name is Bellamy Blake," he stated, hoping it would strike familiarity in some. There was one Grounder in particular that he knew he would have the best chance of speaking to, and hoped to hell that she was here. "I'm here to speak to your leader." They could be skeptical and unsure, but Bellamy had no reason to cause or wish her harm. They could work together. They could form a truce. Bellamy had helped their people and now, it was time to return that favor.

Nia had sent one wave of her army to the gates, and Echo was with them. She was in her full gear, and waiting for them to send an voice out to speak with them. And they sent him. She watched as he walked forward, and grew closer. Bellamy of the Skypeople. The man who toppled the mountain. She waited there beside one of the warriors while he approached and spoke. "My name is Bellamy Blake," There was shift among the warriors closest to him, as they reacted to his name. There was awe, and fear, and the tension mounted--for they saw him as a dangerous warrior. "I'm here to speak to your leader." Nia would not be pleased if they did not bring the girl back.
The warrior before him lowered his spear, clearly about to send him back and demand the girl. "Itigil!" She called out, holding up her hand. He raised his spear back up so it was pointing at the sky and not the man. "Ako ay magsasalita para sa kanya" Moving forward she pulled off her mask, and moved to stand closer to him, "Our queen is not here. She is with our army not far. She demands the one known as Clarke. Blood for ToncDC will be paid in blood. And then Blood for the cowardice in the face of the mountain will be honored as well." He had to know why they were here. She knew he was a man of his word, so she would believe him with his answer. "Is she here?"

whatever THE HELL WE WANT A familiar voice stilled the others and Echo stepped into the scene. Bellamy withheld any reaction from seeing her, though he did indeed feel relief. He knew it had been a long shot to expect her to be here, as she could have been anywhere. But for once, luck was on their side. She spoke of how the queen was not here, and that she demanded Clarke . . . ending her words by demanding to know if she was here. Bellamy lowered his hands to rest by his side, eyes fixed on the Azgeda warrior. "Are you leading this army of warriors then?" If the queen was not here, was Echo the one who led this particular faction?
He hoped so. It would make it a hell of a lot easier to propose this deal. It seemed like she held some authority, based on her commanding words that others had complied to. "Whether you are or aren't, I want to speak in private." Because having this sort of conversation with spears pointed at him and eyes rested on him wasn't entirely easy. He felt like he could reach out to her far better if they were away from prying eyes . . . left only with any guards that she demanded remain in place. One could never be too careful after all. And Bellamy was fully aware that this was their army, that he was on their turf in that sense. The risk was something worth taking . . . placing his trust in the fact that killing him would not appease them. They had no reason to want to kill him, and he was banking on that and the fact that he was far more useful to them alive than dead. Which was also why he was not answering any of her own questions . . . not yet anyway.

"Are you leading this army of warriors then?" He asked her, rather then answering her question. So the girl was here. Why else would he not answer? She trusted him, and owed him a dept. She knew this could not be easy, but nor was she going to back down as the Tree Commander had once. "Whether you are or aren't, I want to speak in private." Why did they always want words alone? The mountain men. The Sky people. They sought to have words alone as if this could sway things.
'Sabihin sa kanya upang dalhin ang mga batang babae foward o bigyan ko ang pagkakasunod-sunod na pag-atake' The other warrior spoke, and she knew that she didn't have the power to stop it. She was but a scout, though they did not dismiss her with ease, she was not the one in command here. "Ang huling oras na ang tao na ito lumakad sa gitna ng kanyang mga kaaway, pinatay niya ang bawat isa sa kanila. Maliban kung kayo ay nagnanais na malaman kung paano siya plan upang patayin ka, nais kong - ihinto ang pakikipag-usap!" She snapped back at him and then looked at Bellamy for a moment. Before addressing the warrior again. "Ako ay makipag-usap sa kanya, at wawakasan na ito nang walang kailangang pagdanak ng dugo." After a moment he nodded and Echo looked back at Bellamy. "I will speak with you alone." She'd make him see reason. That he had no choice.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Once again, Bellamy stood silently as Echo and the other exchanged words. Words that were not understood by Bellamy. He didn't overly care. Whatever was being discussed would hopefully take him one step closer to having a word with Echo in private so that they could make a deal what would stop the hunt for Clarke, as well as solidify some sort of peace with his people and the Ice Nation's. He had no idea where it would leave them with the Trikru, but even Bellamy knew that there were those within the clan that were displeased by the Commander's stream of poor decisions.
She gave a nod and stated that she would speak to him alone. Bellamy followed where she led to a tent of sorts, similar to the ones the Wood Clan had set up when they had been outside their gate, demanding Finn. The thought alone made the hypocrisy so much stronger. Blood for blood. They had demanded Finn's blood for a truce, yet did not demand blood for the Mountain Men who had killed many more.
It was this hypocrisy and so much more that Bellamy knew had sparked this animosity between them. Once they were inside, Bellamy wasted no time. "I'm here in the hopes of creating a truce." The Arkers would hopefully no longer be underestimated. At least, some of them. He also knew that his words were leaning toward the answer to her previous question but it would come out sooner or later. It wasnt't a guarded secret. "Stop the hunt for Clarke, and I'll help you get who you really want." The Commander. The other one who was being hunted.

Once they were alone, Echo turned to face him and allow him to speak his words. It was his words that made her wish she had not granted this. "I'm here in the hopes of creating a truce." Because while the first was expected, the later was not. "Stop the hunt for Clarke, and I'll help you get who you really want." She exhaled in a annoyed huff and turned her head away, fighting not to snap at him.
"You ask," She told him, looking back at him, "what I cannot grant." Nia would never allow it! She would demand anyone's head who tired to offer it! Especially if he came with so little! The tree nation's commandar had to know the might of the Ice Nation was coming for her. If she ran, she was a coward. There was no honor in being a coward. Stepping closer to him, "Why would we take a deal, when what you are offering is something we already have a plan to gain?" There wasn't enough behind his offer, and Echo wasn't going to let him make it to the queen. She'd kill him for the insult--Nia would kill them both for daring!

we've been AT WAR SINCE WE LANDED Bellamy knew it wasn't going to be incredibly easy to convince her, but he wasn't going to give up. Even if it meant he had to remind her about Mount Weather. He was not one to do something for the sake of reciprocity but in this case, if it meant protecting his people, then we would damn well try. She asked why they would take that deal, when he was offering something they already planned to gain.
"Because you haven't gained anything yet." A reminder, of their failures thus far. "You haven't gotten Clarke, and you haven't gotten Lexa." He knew it wasn't wise to remind a Grounder warrior of their failures but right now, he was making a point. "You should know better than to underestimate us." Us, being the Arkers. The Trikru had done shit to bring down Mount Weather. When their part and role was going to come into play . . . they had already run away. "So what I'm offering to you is combining forces to bring down a target. Cause let's face it, you could use some help. Just like you needed it before." He was being bold and he knew it. But that was the point. He had changed since Mount Weather. He didn't fear death. He just wanted to protect his people.

"Because you haven't gained anything yet." He told her, and her eyes narrowed at him. "You haven't gotten Clarke, and you haven't gotten Lexa." Echo took a step closer to him, and knew that had he been anyone else, she'd had walked out carrying his head. "You should know better than to underestimate us." No. She knew better then to underestimate him. He had gone into the mountain and taken it down from within. Even when the whole plan had failed. There was no 'us'. While the others might have helped him, the Ice Nation had come to attach his name to it, while the tree clan awarded Clarke the win.
"So what I'm offering to you is combining forces to bring down a target. Cause let's face it, you could use some help. Just like you needed it before." He offered nothing! He saw it as something good, but she knew that the Ice Nation wasn't going to buddy up to the same people that the tree nation had! They would not be making the same mistakes. Nia was showing her power and making any sort of alliance now would show her as weak. "I owe you a debt of blood, Bellamy of the Skypeople, but what you ask will have us both killed for suggesting it. Nia has brought an army to find and take the two who let TonDC fall. She wants blood for the ones of us whom where killed. I want vengeance for not being able to settle the debt to the mountain myself."
"You offer what she intends to gain herself. The offer will insult her, and she will not hesitate to cut you down for the insult. I am saving your life. Do not make this offer." She was telling him, not asking him. "You do not offer her anything she cannot claim herself."

we've been AT WAR SINCE WE LANDED She continued to fight him. Though Bellamy was not a diplomat, this conversation came with ease. Perhaps it was something he had learned over time. But he didn't show any sign of nervousness or any indication that he was going to ease up. "And how many armies did you form to fight Mount Weather? How many times did your people fail?" They all had been getting their ass kicked by the Mountain Men for nearly a century.
"We did what your people couldn't. And we can give you our support once more." So long as they stopped hunting Clarke. Her safety was what he was asking for, and in turn, it could create an alliance. For the Ice Nation had nothing against the Arkers . . . just one in particular, but that was why Bellamy was here. To sway them. "Then claim it. And see what we're capable of yet again." It was a challenge. He was not about to underuse what they had done at Mount Weather. Bellamy was in no means proud of it, but he was proving a point right now.
"You want jutsice for Tondc," he reiterated. "Well your efforts are misplaced on Clarke. You think it was by her command that they didn't evacuate?" No. It was by Lexa. Bellamy would not defend Clarke's decision to stay silent, but he also knew that there was someone more guilty than her. "Clarke brought Mount Weather down with me. She helped you claim justice there." Because if he was going to be credited for Mount Weather, then so would she. They both pulled that lever. And Bellamy was doing all within his power and strength to remain stoic in the midst of such a difficult conversation.

Echo took another step toward him, and by this point she was less then a foot from his face while glaring him down. He wasn't going to stop, and she knew that this would end well. "Her order? Did she not have the ability to raise the alarm herself? Or did she leave in the dead of night to let my people--YOUR people--die?" Echo reminded him. "I have heard stories of the aftermath. Was your sister not among the ones she left behind?" Stories of the girl had traveled. She was the first Skyperson to be seen as a true warrior amidst the nations.
She knew he was trying to save his friend, and she knew the lengths he would go to in order to try. "If you approach Nia with threats and reminders of what you did in the mountain, she will have you killed before you can carry them out. I would not see it so." Echo owed him, and she knew it. "You want her to let your friend live? Then you need to offer more then an alliance." Because they were not going to make the same mistakes over again. "If you have something she wants more the your friend, then you have something to trade. If not, then there is no deal to even offer her."

we've been AT WAR SINCE WE LANDED Bellamy clenched his jaw as she began to speak of Tondc, mentioning his sister. That was subject he did not want broached. He had been extremely hurt and upset when he found out about Clarke had done -- knowing Octavia had been there, especially after she had lied to him about it the first time around. "Don't tell me what I already know," he bluntly stated, his voice quite stern about it. "I am telling you that if you want justice, it won't be found with Clarke's death. It'll be found with Lexa's." He paused for a moment before he went on. "Clarke pulled that lever with me to bring down Mount Weather." He hated talking about it.
It was enough to haunt him and saying it, vocalizing it . . . well, he forced his tone to be emotionless. He couldn't let himself be vulnerable in front of her. "Because of us, your people aren't hunted anymore. We brought justice to those you lost becaues of them. Doesn't that count for something?" Weren't they all about that blood demands blood shit. They had been when it came to Finn. A completely useless sacrfice considering the Grounders didn't hold up their end of the bargain. And Bellamy though remaining composed and stoic, was getting increasingly agitated that he kept having to explain himself. He knew this wouldn't come easy, but she seemed completely unwilling to even consider it. "Let me speak to Queen Nia." He wasn't afraid. "Let me find out what else she wants besides our willingness to help." Which they damn well needed it wasn't as if they caught either of their two targets yet.

"Doesn't that count for something?" He demanded, and she knew that too her it might, but to Nia it would not. The tree commander's alliances were made and broken on whims and the Ice Nation was not so friendly. They were warriors. The best warriors! They were not going to back down from a target because the Sky People offered their help. "Let me speak to Queen Nia." She hiss in displeasure at this words. "Let me find out what else she wants besides our willingness to help." She was going to demand his head.
"Goufa!" She bit out at him, clearly displeased with what he was asking her. "Disha ste the end gon yu!" Echo lifted her knee and stick her hand in her boot and pulled out a long blade. She handed it over to him. "This is the only aid I can give you, Sky Person, for where you are going." Because apparently she was taking him to see Nia. She knew this would not end well, but he was clearly not going to be swayed. She knew Nia would not let him close enough that he could use it on the queen, but Echo figured when he bound him it would at least let him get free and maybe escape if they didn't kill him right away.

we've been AT WAR SINCE WE LANDED She started saying something in Grounder and Bellamy had no idea what she was saying. Nor did he care to ask. He figured she was cursing at him, telling him he was stupid or something -- just based on her very tone. Then, she held out the blade that she pulled from her boot. He stared at it. The temptation to take it was great. So very great. His hand reached to take the weapon, gripping the hilt. But instead of keeping it at his side he held it out to Echo's throat for a moment. Her actions revealed a great deal. He could use the blade on her Queen, and yet, she was giving him the opportunity by granting him this weapon. Was this her way of repaying her debt? He didn't know. And yet again, he didn't bother to ask. "I don't need a weapon." Was he just not afraid of death anymore? Was he really so fargone?
It wasn't even that he had faith or trust in the Grounders . . . and yet, he still would not take the blade with him. So following his words, he tossed it to the side, releasing it from his grasp. "If you're queen wants to kill me, she can try. But it won't get you a damn thing." He paused for a moment, taking a small step toward her, a dead seriousness in his eyes. "Don't forget who you're dealing with." The words were almost a warning; a borderline threat. He would use the power he seemed to have been given for bringing down the mountain. And if it was going to get somewhere now, he would remind her. It wasn't so much based on pride for his actions. But rather, an expression of what he was capable of doing. And how far he would go to protect his people. "Now take me to her." A demand, not a request. He wasn't going to waste any more time.

Echo had expected to die in the cage. It had been the man before her who had given her the chance to have an honorable death. She knew that if her queen learned of where the blade came from, that she would have Echo killed a traitor's death. It had been a risk she'd taken, to honor the man who had given her back some dignity . . . and he turned the blade on her. Holding it out to her neck i a threat to end her. His attempt at power. She had been trained as a warrior in the Ice Nation, and the threat was not one she feared. They fought every day in training to be faster, and stronger then whomever they might face. She held no fear when he done it, only a rage that caused her breathing to slow, and her hands to fist. "I don't need a weapon." He tossed the blade away, not even bothering to hand it back to her. The insult on topic of the threat would not be forgotten.
"Don't forget who you're dealing with." No. Echo would not soon forget. They had a common enemy before. Now their was no common monster int he dark. She'd mistaken in her thoughts of him, and his irrational plan; along with his threat toward her proved she'd made her mistakes. "Now take me to her." He demanded, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood, as she bristled at his order. She had been trained since the age of 12 to be a warrior. She could have killed him here. "Walk. Out. Of. This. Tent." She told him, speaking each word it's own clipped syllable. She would take him to Nia, but she'd no longer try to aid him. She wasn't going to be made a fool of.
Once he was out, she moved to pick up the blade, and she held it by the metal rather then the handle as she walked out. Echo didn't look at him. They were done. He wasn't her problem any longer. "Biid em!" She ordered, "En teik em fou Nia." With her words, five of the warriors moved in toward him, and one of them jumped at Bellamy before another grabbed him from behind. They weren't gentle as they grabbed at him, and twisted or pulled his limbs behind him, binding the rope tight.
Echo watched it begun and then turned to walk away. She was done with him. He was a Sky Person, and she had thought he different. She had thought wrong. She knew they would be dropping something over his head to keep him from seeing, but she didn't give him a warning. There would be no more warnings.
Echo lead the way, silently, toward Nia's emcampment. Once there she went to the tent, and entered. "Belomi kom skai kru ste hir gon an hukop." Echo told her, standing with her back toward and, a few feet before him. The queen stood a few feet before Echo, warriors on either side of her. At her nod, someone moved past Echo to pull off whatever they used to make sure he could not see. Nia looked at Echo then, displeasure on her face. "This is not what you were supposed to bring me." Echo said nothing, looking straight ahead. She wasn't going to give an excuse. Nia looked back at Bellamy. "I was told you were the best of your warriors. I should use you then. Use you to send a message to your people to give over the one called Clarke." Echo didn't move or look at him. She knew all too well it would be a message of blood.

we've been AT WAR SINCE WE LANDED She was pissed. But Bellamy didn't care. He was tired of this. All of it. Tired of being belitted; of their people being treated like crap. The Woods Clan had betrayed them, the Ice Nation mocked them. And what had the Grounders done? Nothing. Not a damn thing for their people. They had saved how many? Offered to save Reapers? And for what? To be hunted by them? Bellamy was done with it.
He was going to bring this to an end, once an for all. Echo gave an order and before he knew it, a handful of men grabbed him. Bellamy didn't make a sound, though inwardly cringed when his arms were forcefully pulled behind him and hands bound. A bag was then placed over his head. He knew where he was going . . . and he also knew that this was a sign. Not one of certain death. Because if they truly did intend to kill him, they would not have bothered sticking a bag over his head.
He moved where he was forced to and heard the familiar words of Echo once more. He caught on a few things that she said, but not everything. The words were then switched to English as the back was lifted from his head, revealing the Queen. Bellamy's gaze fixated on her, showing no fear or anything less than the stoic demeanor he often took on -- despite the circumstance that was obviously not in his favor.
She spoke of him being one of the best, and suggesting to use that as a means to bring Clarke to her. He wasn't an idiot. He knew that it wasn't going to be a peaceful message. "It would be a waste," he told her bluntly. "Why do that when my skills can be put to better use." Skills that they should not underestimate yet it seemed Grounders were stupid like that. Constantly emphasizing their own strength when all they had was numbers. "Like getting the Commander." It was the beginning of the proposition he had come with, one that he would now present to the proper authority who had the power to accept or deny it.
