❧ Leiana read his text message again, making sure that she'd done so correctly the first three times. The words hadn't changed but the excitement of seeing a message from him had given way to disappointment. He started with an apology, then an explanation... This was the third time this month he'd cancelled a date because of work. Leiana understood that his work was important; he was protecting people, saving them, making the world a better place. And she supported and loved him for it. But sometimes... she didn't like his work at all. Sometimes it felt like she was the last choice.
Leiana read the text again, this time her emotions shifting to anger. It was always at the last minute too. He would always cancel after she'd started cooking for him, or after she'd done her make-up, or done something to surprise and spoil him.
With a soft sigh she let go of her anger, having found that it wasn't worth holding onto. She had known what to expect when she first met Bellamy; the detective life came with both perks and flaws. Leiana typed out a response of the one word variety and hit send. 'Okay.'

❧ Soft lighting, scented candles, and quiet music helped to set the mood; romantic and special -- how she preferred it to be. She was alone, the others were out, and she intended to make the most of the moment. She intended to... relax and release some of the tension that had been building lately.
Leiana lay back on the bed, the soft sheets shifting against her sensitive skin, making her breath hitch in her throat. Resting back against the pillows she closed her eyes, letting the fantasy take life in her minds eye.
Him. Dark eyes, dark hair. His skin dotted with freckles, his touch warming her. Her own hands brushed down her body, leaving goosebumps prickling her skin, making her bite her lip to stifle a moan as she touched herself here and there.

Her hips bucked off the mattress, a shaky moan crawling up her throat as the pleasure mounted. Next was his lips on hers, swallowing her moans, whispering lovingly as her muscles coiled tighter and tighter. His name escaped her just as the stars started to implode. And then the door opened, bringing the fantasy to an abrupt end. Leiana couldn't prevent the scream that escaped her; shock and embarrassment drawing the noise from her throat. She frantically ripped the duvet over herself, covering her bare body from his stare. "Don't you ever knock?!"
