Death I come to take the soul | Leave the body and leave it cold | TAGGED @tomac
| The village was calmer than it had been for weeks and Avisa was adoring it. There weren't many times in her life where she could relax or have any kind of fun, but training with the warriors to be certainly put her in good spirits. They were fighting on the sands in front of sparkling blue lake, close to the fishermen and those who were winding rope netting. She and a few warriors had decided to take advantage of the free time. Though her past was behind her, she and some of the warriors still enjoyed placing bets on who would win. Normally, the spectators threw their bets at Avisa, but occasionally some would try to win against her. With a wide, proud grin, Avisa knocked her opponent off his feet with the end of her spear before flipping it around to push the blunt end against his chest, just above his heart to make the practice kill.
"You were so cocky going in," she teased as she pulled her spear away and reached down to pull him up. She took from him the string of colorful pebbles that he'd used in his wager and tied it onto her armor. "I'll wear them proudly," she mused as she patted his shoulder. They'd attracted quite the crowd, but when Avisa saw Tomac she was quick to bow out of the play fighting.
"Tomac!" she called as she dodged the crowd; stepping between them and following him closely. The fights with the warriors were really just play... It'd be a shame to give up valuable time for real training. "I won a fight against Lucio; maybe it's time I really try my hand against yours." She cocked her head and adjusted her pace, following the chief she idolized. She knew she probably could not defeat him in a fight, but that wasn't important. Every fight was a lesson. "If you have the time, perhaps you can give me the chance to try?"

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ | .:Name:. Avisa Kom Podakru .:Nick Name:. Ava .:Affiliation:. Podakru .:Age:. Twenty-Five | ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ | .:Physical Appearance:. Avisa is tall with long black hair that she keeps in tight, thin braids to keep it pulled away from her face. Her features are sharp, with a narrow pointed jaw and high cheekbones that could probably cut glass. Her brown eyes are large and always surrounded with a darker pigment, giving them a hollow look. Her lips are thick and pouty while her nose is long and rather wide. Her style changes drastically between casual robes and battle gear that is light, but also protects her with thick leather and chain mail. .:Height:. 5'9" .:Portrayed by:. Cynthia Addai-Robinson | ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Avisa has been through much in her short life, giving her a rough, sharp personality. She does not trust others easily and often grows suspicious of others when they are not acting out of their own self interest. She is fiercely loyal to Podakru's chief and leader Tomac and will follow his every command as he trains her to one day become leader of Podakru. Her life has purpose and she works hard to make that purpose count by acting for her people. No matter the sacrifices she needs to make. Once a starving bandit fighting each day to survive, she is now a warrior fighting under Tomac's guidance. She's not afraid to learn-- but at the end of the day, Podakru is her only loyalty. Everyone else needs to earn her trust. .:Special Skills:. Avisa has been training under a talented warrior for years and thus has achieved great feats in combat. With a sword and bow she is almost unstoppable, but her true talents are ones that she's had since she was younger. Manipulating others in fights and assessing situations will always be her strongest suits. She's able to read people and battles unlike any other. Otherwise, she'd be dead by now. | ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Podakru Village .:Family:. Avisa has no surviving biological family. Her only family is her chief and the few who have cared for her as a child. Her family was murdered by Azgeda scouts when she was five years old. .:Occupation:. @tomac 's Second .:History:. When Avisa was young, she and her mother and father owned a small hunters rest, where travelers could purchase meats and furs for trade. It was peaceful, at first. She was going to grow up to be a hunter like her father. He taught her how to make weapons out of simple materials and how to track larger beasts-- but one day when they returned to the post, Azgeda scouts were attacking. Her father told her to run, but she hid in the stables. The scouts murdered both her parents and then stole all they had; the horses, the pelts, the meats and everything that they'd received as payment. When they were done looting the place, they burned it down. Avisa was helpless then, but she soon learned that in a world of hostility, you needed to be just as hostile. This led her to a life of a bandit, where she would travel and steal from other clans and travelers. She would often hustle warriors in duels and really... she lost her path. She eventually returned to her home after a Podakru trader beat her in a fight. Instead of killing her as any reasonable person would do, he brought her home. She was only fourteen and the trader believed in second chances. He and his wife housed her, fed her and looked after her for years. In return she hunted for them... It was a strange relationship and Avisa didn't know how to accept the hospitality, which is perhaps why it was so difficult for her to continue living with them after she turned sixteen. Her rebellious stage of life didn't change, but she no longer stole from traders or did any incredibly dishonorable deeds. Instead she fought warriors for bets and wagers. She did this for years; gaining skills and winning fights. Though, she was wild and without discipline. She'd often lose fights with more elite warriors, but this never stopped her. She would never give up until she could no longer stand. This, eventually, caught the attention of their chief. She became his second. It was an honor-- though confusing. There were warriors who were stronger, smarter and more capable, but with no true training there was potential in her to become a strong warrior. Perhaps even strong enough to one day lead her people. Her crimes were never truly punished, as so few knew of them to begin with. Instead of focusing on what she had been, she instead began focusing on what she could one day become. | ~ • ~ | Member Info | ~ • ~ | .:Name or Online Alias:. Amber .:How Did You Find Us:.
