.:Physical Appearance:. As far as grounders go Harlo is of pretty average stature. She stands at approximately 5'6 with a slender, yet toned body. She isn't initially intimidating, but upon a second glance her intense, hazel green eyes tend to catch people off guard. Her skin is a warm, deep almond color due both to genetics and time spent in the sun. Her hair is dark brown in color and falls in natural curls to her waist; she usually wears half of it pulled behind her head in a messy bun while allowing the rest of it to rest in small dreadlocks against her back. She can usually be found with mud on her face and hands as she enjoys working in hard, outdoor labor positions. She is quick, quiet, and efficient due to her size and build. Harlo has twelve scars on her shoulders, indicating the twelve kills she has made. She also has a tribal tattoo along her forearm and another on her right collar bone.

.:Personality:. Despite being Ice Nation, Harlo is a kind, kindred spirit. She tends to be on the quiet side and can be seen  observing all that is happening around her before making her own move. She would rather talk things out than start a war over a misunderstanding, a trait she has struggled to find a place for in her Azgedian home. Harlo is also a fairly guarded creature and avoids conversations that center around herself and those that she loves. Sometimes her lack of conversation is misinterpreted for rudeness or uptightness.  But, don't be fooled; the fact that she would rather talk things out than fight doesn't mean that she won't kill you to protect those that she loves, and those that she serves. Harlo is deeply loyal to the Ice Nation, it's leaders, and the Grounders as a whole. She is fearful of the skikru and what they mean for the grounder nations. Her body is marked with the twelve scars of her kills and she carries them like a weighted blanket, remembering the face of each kill. She is not ruthless and often times feels as though she doesn't belong because of it. 

.:Special Skills:. None that would be considered "special" - Harlo is a class A tracker and a fierce warrior when she needs to be, however her communication skills and gentle nature are really what set her apart.

.:History:. Harlo Kom Azgeda was not born Ice Nation. Her mother - the woman who found Harlo when she was just an infant - believed that Harlo was a trekru baby who had been abandoned. Harlow's mother had recently miscarried her own child and she smuggled Harlo into the nation where few people suspected anything, and those who did didn't say anything. Harlow grew up always trying to compensate for the fact that she wasn't, by her own blood, an ice nation child; but she always seemed to fall short. She lacked the blood lust and  ruthlessness of a true Ice Nation and instead found herself trying to make allies, to sort out issues, and to be a mediator for others during times of tension. It didn't take long for her to become an outcast among those her age. 

Harlo's mother would become sick shortly after her 13 birthday and would disappear after a scouting trip to Mount Weather. Harlo, by most grounder standards, was more than capable of making her own decisions and being treated as an adult and with such authority she decided to continue with her training to become a warrior, vowing to get vengeance for her mother against the mountain men. 

Even after becoming a fierce and capable warrior, killing never came easily to Harlo - each life taken by her hand would haunt her for nights, sometimes weeks on end. She soon learned to use that fear to motivate her fight and has since worked her way through the ranks. She is regarded among her people for her unique fighting style and her skill with both a bow and a knife.
