.:Name:. Aswen .:Nick Name:. n/a .:Affiliation:. Azgeda .:Age:. 18
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Aswen had been a fighter most of her life and has the muscles to show. She has a toned torso, and her arms and legs are muscular but not excessively due to her slender build. She has fair features and skin and it's mostly clear save for freckles and scars. The two scars below her left eye were carved into the skin while the one above her right eyebrow was from a fight. She also has another scar on her stomach, but it's larger than the two on her face and came from her brother, Desmond. .:Height:. 5'6" .:Portrayed by:. Willa Holland
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Aswen is a very composed person. She doesn't let her anger or frustration get the better of her, not even when she fights. She used to and it made her a messy fighter, all her skill disregarded when the emotion fueled her movements. And to have a mother like her own, it is best to keep your emotions in check. Her mother's actions were almost always to anger or upset Aswen, but she never took the bait, knowing the consequences of doing so would not be gentle. And she really just doesn't like being driven by emotion. Emotions can be dangerous and Aswen would rather be unfeeling and tactical than emotional and reckless. She does choose to show emotion at points, but only with people she trusts and that has only ever included her brother, Desmond. .:Special Skills:. Aswen is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and use of a sword. However, she is not very good at hunting, not having the patience nor the skill with a bow.

.:Birthplace:. North Ice Nation .:Family:. Parents, Arlo and Kiera, and brother, Desmond. .:Occupation:. Warrior .:History:. Fighting has been Aswen's life.
Desmond, her older brother by four years, was always her sparring partner. When she was young, it was time after time of being wrestled to the ground. Her brother's muscles were stronger, and he had more to show for experience. His time of being pinned down, immobile because of the opponent's weight had long since passed and the skill he had to show for it was quite literally bruising. Whenever he finally released her, though, Aswen was at the ready, springing up from the ground and attacking until she ended up on the ground again—usually, within seconds of getting up.
This continued through her childhood and by the time Aswen was twelve, she was as formidable an opponent as her brother. She didn't match his skill, didn't even come close, but she had learned tricks throughout their years of sparring that helped her against larger and stronger opponents.
Throughout her adolescence, her mother lingered like a second shadow. When Desmond beat her to the ground, her mother was crouched near, lips twisted into a snarl as she urged Aswen off the ground. Not out of interest to see her daughter beat the odds, but to disprove any weakness others may see. When she was in her teens, fighting and defeating larger opponents, her mother followed her away from the scene of the fight, fingers like claws as they gripped Aswen's shoulder. She would steer her away from the tent, which Aswen was usually headed towards when her mother caught her, and force her into the awaiting crowd.
For Desmond, it was her father, and though her brother endured worse than her, Aswen wasn't relieved for that alone. Often times, her mother would find her as she bathed, forcing her out of the water and into a stance to fight.
You spend too much time bathing! What if it wasn't I, but another warrior to enter with no interest to see you dressed?
At first, it frustrated her. There was always something wrong in her mother's eyes and no matter the number of fights she won, the amount of praise and respect it earned her, she could never achieve what her mother wanted. As she aged, she forced out her mother's voice and instead focused on the fights. When she was in the midst of her tenth match in a day, her muscles crying out in exhaustion as she entered a defensive stance, it wasn't the thought of her mother that gave her strength. She shifted, moving on to offense and pummeling her opponent, retreating, and darting back in again because fighting gave her an outlet. Even when she's physically exhausted, she fights on because when it's just Aswen, not Aswen and Keira or Aswen and Desmond, it's just fighting. It's all she has. It's all she is. A fighter. A warrior for the Ice Nation.
And when she surpassed the people in her village, defeating them all, Desmond included, she left to seek out greater challenges. She became a warrior for Azgeda, fighting when and where her queen/king command it.
