What Jackson answered to Tara's apology made the young girl understand that the person he lost was one of his parents if it wasn't both of them. And it was sad to say but knowing that made her a little more comfortable because the nurse knew exactly how she felt right now. He had been in her place once so it was probably easier to him to find the good words. "Yes... but what I need to go through shouldn't be an excuse to remind you what you went through..." Tara answered to what Jackson told her.
As Jackson frowned and began to speak about Tara's mother, the latter one regreted having mentioned her because nobody could know about what she did to her or they may arrest the woman and leave the young girl orphan now that her father was dead so she needed to be careful about what she said. "Maybe..." the girl repeated as the nurse said that perhaps her mother just didn't know how to show her love. When the man asked her if she knew someone she could talk to, it didn't take Tara a while to think about what she was going to answer Jackson, "No, there's no one...". The girl couldn't think of someone she could talk to, plus if she went see a therapist or a psychologist, she may speak about her mother in a moment of inattention, it was too risky.

As Katarina thanked her and offered her a smile, Tara could feel that the girl was starting to relax and she was glad to see that the younger girl began to feel more comfortable than earlier. " Don't thank me, I'm just doing what I'm good at to help the others... It's normal." she told the auburn-haired girl winking at her. Listening to what people needed to talk about and trying to help them was what Tara had wanted to do for years, years that she spent studying to reach this goal so she was more than happy to be able to apply what she had learnt. " You can say everything you want freely here. What will be said in this room will stay in this room." Tara told Katarina to reassure her and to let her know she could talk about every topic she wanted, as long as it could help her Tara was ready to listen. But what the auburn-haired girl said surprised the brunette a little, apparently either Katarina didn't have much friends or she prefered come to her to say what was on her mind. Tara hoped it was the second option because she knew how hard it was to live alone without family and friends. Plus, if it was that, she was glad the younger girl chose her and not someone else. Seeing the girl relaxing more and more at her words, Tara felt like they couldn't just stop there and agree on when will be the next time Katarina will come, that was why she had asked the girl if she wanted to talk. Apparently the latter one didn't expect this question but she agreed to confess right now so Tara let her speak. The former psychology student quietly listened to the younger girl, giving her all her attention. She was very hesitant, which made Tara understand that what she needed to say was something that had traumatised her or at least really shocked her. As the girl confessed having killed someone and always remembering it, Tara answered " I know it's hard and it's going to hurt but I need you to tell me more about this... Do you remember this in nightmares or is it like flashbacks during the day? Is it memories or is there some changes compared to what really happened?" she just wanted to have more details about what was haunting Katarina and how it did so it would be easier for her to help. "How much time? Is there something that could make it take less time?" Tara asked as Jackson told her the only thing which helped was time, she was just looking for solutions so she won't feel empty and lost as she did right now for too long. But even if she was in state of shock, Tara could feel that her questions made Jackson a little uncomfortable, maybe he had never totally recovered from the death of the person he lost. And the girl suddenly felt a bit guilty "I'm sorry, I shouldn’t ask you all these questions..." she apologised before adding "It's just that I don't know how I'm going to do without him...".
When the nurse gave her hand a small gently squeeze, Tara looked up to him as he spoke and then muttered in a barely audible voice "I'm not sure I'm that lucky to still have her..." before speaking louder "My father is... was ... the one who brought me love, my mother had never and will probably never show me as much love as he did...".

Tara knew that she wouldn't be able to help Katarina if the later one didn't want her help, that was why she wanted to hear her say that she wanted to try. So when the girl said it, Tara was glad that she wanted her help, " Okay, then I'll do my best to help you." she told the younger girl. And she will do everything she could to help her because even if Tara hadn't wanted to admit it at first, the auburn-haired girl touched her heart, when she looked at her, the former psychology student could see a part of herself. And that made her feel that maybe by helping Katarina, she could help herself so she was determined to do her best for the girl. As the auburn-haired girl offered her a smile, Tara returned it. As Katarina spoke, Tara once again quietly listened to her, happy to see that the girl was more than ready to cooperate. " I totally understand what you feel... And you're right, keeping everything for yourself isn't helpful... So, yeah, I think sharing your thoughts with someone may help you... And if you want me to be this person, I'll be there for you." she told the auburn-haired girl. The fact that the younger girl wanted to talk about what happened to her since she was on the ground was totally understandable, Tara even found it brave, after all, the girl was just doing what she didn't have the courage to. As the girl brushed aside her hair behind her ear and asked if it was troublesome if she decided to drop by again, Tara answered " You can come here whenever you want, at any hours of the day or of the night." She smiled at Katarina showing her that her words were true, as Tara didn't sleep much, she didn't mind if the auburn-haired girl came in the middle of the night. " Well, maybe we could start now... was there something you wanted to talk about first?" Tara asked. Kat Roux

Tara couldn't understand how is father could have done that, why did he let her alone with her mother knowing what the woman did to her? She couldn't find a reason why he would have done that, maybe if her mother hadn't taken the letter he left for Tara before she could read it she would have an explanation but she would probably never had it. She guessed her mother had been afraid that someone read this letter and learnt the truth about what she did to her daughter.
Jackson placing his hand on hers made Tara realise that she unconsciously got closer to him and was now resting on his shoulder. But apparently it didn't disturb the nurse, so the girl didn't move, she needed to be comforted and her mother wasn't the one who would do that. When Jackson began to speak, Tara listened to him quietly, more tears running down her cheeks as he said that he wished he could told her that her father wasn't dead. What he said after made the girl understand that he had probably lost someone because he seemed to know what she felt too well for a simple nurse. The young girl took a small breath before asking "And how does it get easier? How am I supposed to get over it?". She was just hoping Jackson could give her a magic bullet even if she doubted of that.

As soon as the girl entered, Tara began to pay attention to every single gesture Katarina made, to every single word she said so she could get an idea of the emotional state in which the younger girl was, so she could already start thinking about how she was going to help her. The auburn-haired girl hesitations when she spoke, the way she was sit on the desk chair, the fact she was fiddling with her fingers, all these little details were signs of nervousness, of anxiety. And even if she didn’t know the younger girl very well yet, Tara could already say that something was torturing Katarina’s mind and she knew how it felt like, the brunette was haunted by her parents since the landing, even dead her mother was still torturing her and she hadn’t find a solution to stop it yet because trying to stay busy not to sleep wasn’t a solution. But maybe together they will find a way to stop this. But even if she didn’t have the solution to this problem, Tara listened very carefully to Katarina, not wanting to interrupt her but just observing her quietly. When the girl seemed to have finished, Tara took few seconds to think about what she could tell the younger woman but finally the former psychology student broke the silence which had settled " Unfortunately, I don’t have the magic bullet for this otherwise I would have used it to be able to sleep… And I can’t promise you that talking about it will made your dreams go away… But we can try if you still want to of course." she said being honest with the other girl. Tara was aware that what she just told the auburn-haired girl could make her change her mind and want to leave but the only way this could work was if Tara managed to gain Katarina’s trust so she needed to be honest with her. Rest… Tara needed to get some but it seemed to be impossible since they landed, since she killed her wounded mother after the landing, she couldn’t sleep without having nightmares so she was staying awake and trying to make herself useful by offering her help as a former psychology student to those who needed to talk to someone. But she couldn’t keep living like this or she would die of exhaustion. So, she was lying on her bed, listening to some music, just trying to relax when someone knocked on the door. After stopping the music, she went to open the door and found Katarina standing in front of her. The younger girl didn’t seem very well, she seemed lost in her thoughts and quite uncomfortable and Tara was going to ask her if she was okay but Katarina spoke first. " No, I’m not. Especially when someone needs my help." she told the girl who asked her if she was busy, smiling at her and trying to make her feel more comfortable. As Katarina explained her that she came because she needed to talk and Tara had offered her her help, the brunette said " You came to the right place. You’re not going to stay here. Please, come in." beckoning the auburn-haired girl to enter. She let the younger girl coming in and closed the door behind her. " Please take a seat, make yourself at home." Tara told Katarina, knowing the more comfortable the girl will be, the easier it will be for Tara to help her. " So, what did you want to talk about?" Tara asked not because she didn’t know why the girl came see her but because she wanted her to open to her, she needed to listen to what she had to say first, then she would be able to help her. The man came to sit quietly next to Tara and after a moment, he introduced himself, confirming her thoughts by saying that he was a nurse. Tara didn’t remember already having seen him at the hospital so she didn’t know if she could trust him or if he was only there to make her speak to the guards. But the fact that he wasn’t just speaking to her waiting for an answer but trying to catch her attention by catching her gaze made her feel that he wasn’t here for the guards but that didn't mean she could trust him, she didn't trust people that easily.
When he broke the silence by saying he was sorry for her loss, Tara just said "I can’t believe he’s gone…" as she closed her eyes feeling tears coming and re-opened them letting the tears running down her cheeks. Without noticing it, Tara reduced the distance between her and Jackson and just let her head coming to rest on the nurse’s shoulder. She released a breath before adding "I wish you could tell me it’s just a nightmare so I could just wake up, see him just in front of me and let him take me in his arm and say that everything is okay…" but she knew Jackson couldn’t say that, her father was gone, he left her alone with her mother and she didn’t know how she was going to bear up without him.

Thirty minutes, an hour… Tara had no idea how much time had passed since she came back home after school, happy at the idea of spending some time alone with her father but it didn’t go as she thought it would… When she entered, nobody seemed to be there so Tara called for his father and then decided to check the room but when she opened the door, she didn’t expect to see what she found… Her father had hung himself in his room, only letting a letter for her behind him.
That was why right now she wasn’t even able to say what happen after this awful discovery, she wasn’t able to say what she did. All she knew was that now some guards were speaking to her mother, they had also wanted to speak to her but she couldn’t say anything, she was so chocked, she loved her father, he wasn’t like her mother, he showed her love. But she wasn’t crying, she just couldn’t say or do anything, she was sure she was realizing, still hoping it was just a nightmare and she was going to wake up even if in her heart she knew it was the reality.
She was lost in her thoughts, remembering all the great moments she spent with her father, regretting not having been able to spend more time with him and wondering how she was going to do now that he was gone, when she felt a presence next to her so she turned her head and saw the man who had just arrived, he came to sit right next to her. She had never seen him but she guessed he was some doctor or nurse who had been called by the guards because they couldn’t interrogate her and they were only interested by what Tara had to say so she needed to be able to answer their questions.

.:Name:. Tara C. Donovan (C. is for Caithleen, her second name but nobody use it) .:Nick Name:. Tara; T.-C. .:Affiliation:. Arker .:Age:. 19 years old
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Tara is a little brown-haired and green-eyed woman. She is slim but quite muscled. As a little girl, she wore dresses, then as she grew up on The Ark, she wore jeans with cute tee-shirts, now she tries to keep that style. She also got a tribal tattoo since she is on the ground. This tattoo hide the scars she has on her left wrist from all the needles that had been sticked in it. .:Height:. 5"4 .:Portrayed by:. Dominique Provost-Chalkley
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Tara is wary, she needs to know a person very well before trusting them but once she trusts someone, she gives them all the love she can. Even if she needs love because she didn't received love from her mother, she is quite lonely, she never had time to make friends because her mother always wanted her to go home right after school and never let her go out. She loves listening to people to help them and cheer them. .:Special Skills:. Tara had read loads of books when she was young so she knows a lot of things about Earth and thanks to that, she had learned how to survive on it. She was a very good student, as soon as she came back home after school, she went to her room to do her homeworks. She rarely got sick because her immune system is very great after all her mother did to her (she suffered of Munchhausen syndrome by proxy). Thanks to her psychology studies she is a good listener and she is pretty good when it comes to cheer.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. The Ark .:Family:. Father (killed himself), mother (killed by Tara) .:Occupation:. Student in psychology trying to apply what she learnt .:History:. Tara was born on The Ark of a pharmacist mother and a engineer father. Since she was a baby girl, her mother who suffered of Munchhausen syndrome by proxy lied about the health of the girl so she could bring her to the doctor. Then, as Tara was growing up, her mother began to poison or to make her sick by giving her medicines or inedible plants. And she always wanted Tara to come back home right after classes so the little girl didn't have friends because she couldn't spend time with the other children.
One day, when Tara was 13, as she came back home, her mother wasn't there but her father was supposed to but nobody seemed to be home. She searched for her father and as she entered in her parents' room, she found him, he had hung himself because he couldn't support what his wife was doing to Tara. The discovery of her father's body was a moment that traumatised Tara forever.
After that, her mother could have stop what she did to her but she didn't, she was ready to lose her daughter after having lost her husband apparently. Tara's hospitalisations became more and more numerous so she was known by most of the nurses and doctors. And thanks to the relationships she built with them, after a stay in the hospital because of an poisoning which almost cost her her life when she was 16 years old, she was separating from her mother who wasn't floated because there were no proof of her poisoning Tara willingly. And as she was able to live on her own, Tara got a little flat on the Arrow Station. And she focused on her psychology studies because by doing that she could maybe help children who were victims of Munchhausen syndrome by proxy by listening to them.
When the Council decided to bring The Ark to the ground, she took place in one of the ships but her ship landed violently and some of the people who were in it died, others were severly injured. Tara only had some scratches so she helped the wounded ones but when she saw her severly injured mother, she remembered all the harm that the woman did to her and she thought about the fact that her mother probably had another victim now, that's when she understood that the woman's scars were the proof she mutilated herself now so Tara killed her to stop her pain.
Then Tara went to Camp Jaha with all the other Arkers but she had difficulty in integrate herself, it wasn't that she was scared to be caught, she knew she won't because everybody thought that her mother died in the landing, but she just couldn't live with what she did. Her mother was hunting her and she saw her father's body in her nightmares and it was driving her crazy. And as she didn't have friends from her childhood, nobody was there to comfort her... But Tara decided to try to help others thanks to her psychology studies, maybe it will help her recovering from all of that and make the nightmares go away...
