Geographic Location: Florida, most of southern Alabama, most of southern Georgia, and most of southeastern South Carolina.
Leader: Emperor @kiawah

Style of Government: Monarchy
Views on Tradition: Traditions must be respected, and if changed, must be done so in agreement among all 12 clans. The Heda/Commander is to be followed, as long as they also honor tradition and the wishes of the 12 clans. Should the Heda become unfit, or blatant disregard for tradition and the people they command is shown, Yujleda may choose to rebel.
Views on Violence: Yujleda has a strong army of warriors. Their geographic location sometimes causes them to have to defend their territory, and they will follow the Heda into battles when called upon. They try to establish peaceful resolutions in conflicts whenever possible, but ultimately, when wronged, blood must have blood.
Allies: Trikru (Woods Clan), Floukru (Boat People), Podakru (Lake People), Boudalan (Rock Line)
Enemies: Emperor Kiawah does not have any known enemies, though he keeps a more wary eye on the actions of Azgeda and Skaikru.
Clan History: Eighteen years prior to the start of canon, an attack was made on the royal family of Yujleda, killing the Empress and her two small sons and leaving a grieving Emperor. Or at least, that was the way the story was told to the people of Yujleda. Future Emperor Kiawah, unlike his mother and brother, survived the attack, but to protect the future of the clan, he was placed into hiding to train among the warriors until such a day that he would take the crown, with only a very small number of people aware of his existence. He learned to fight, and in spite of his small size, became a fearsome warrior. Four years prior to the start of canon, Kiawah's father became very ill, and announced his son's return to their people, handing down the crown to him (much to the chagrin of the younger half-sister who did not know he existed). While shocked, the citizens quickly accepted their new warrior Emperor with excitement, and he has proven himself a dutiful leader over time. His story is still spoken of as one of those things where everyone remembers exactly what they were doing when they found out he had returned.

Major Imports/Exports from Your Clan: As they control more of the coast than any other clan, they export a lot of seafood (mostly dried or cured due to lack of modern refrigeration).
What Happens if Show Canon Renders This Clan Description OOC: The leaders of this clan have chosen to move them to unincorporated territory in the western United States and keep their backstory. Any OC Yujledan can choose to move with us and rebrand as a different clan, or edit their character to stay with current Yuleda canon and part ways.
Anything Else People Should Know: Every summer, Yujleda holds games, something like a Grounder Olympics, where warriors fight for sport among each other, and with warriors invited from other allied, non-hostile clans. The fights are called by an impartial "referee" of sorts if it looks like someone will be permanently injured or killed, but otherwise, injuries are taken with good, sporting nature. The idea is to brings Yujledans together and build community and support for their warriors. Fighters can enter at age sixteen, so Kiawah participated in three games before becoming Emperor and having to withdraw. However, he started a new tradition for the opening of the games so that he could still be involved. He opens the games by "fighting" two to three young Yujledan warriors in training, ages eleven to thirteen, at the same time (to make it a "fair fight"). It's all for show, as everyone know he won't hurt them and they probably can't hurt him, but the idea is to honor the best and brightest up and coming warriors, and to encourage healthy competition in training. Also... WE'RE THE BEST. COME BE THE BEST WITH US!

Grounder Clan FAQs Hi, wonderful members! I've noticed recently the forming or building up of canon clans that we don't have much information on in canon, namely clans that aren't Woods Clan/Trikru, Ice Nation/Azgeda, or Boat People/Floukru. I thought it would be fun to help build up the lesser known clans with a FAQ thread for them, and maybe even help them grow by laying out the basics of the clan for people who might wish to join them!
If you play a clan leader, you are highly encouraged to participate, even those of you who play clan leaders of more canonically known clans! All you need to do is copy and paste the code in the box below and PM it to The Lighthouse for approval. If nothing, or only a little, is known about your clan in canon, you get to make up what is unknown! More well known clans in canon must stick to canon. Once your FAQ is approved, it will be posted by me to this thread.
If you need to change anything in the future or even resubmit an updated form (maybe you gain a second or a healer in the clan you did not have when submitting, or maybe future canon caused you to have to change details), you may do so at any time, and I will edit the FAQ or repost a new one for you. **Currently, because we know we will be learning more of the Glowing Forest Clan/Trishana in S4, we are not accepting a FAQ for them.**
