❅AI GONPLEI❅ There was no sign that Isa took any offence at Annika not saying her title. There was nothing to be offended of. It was a mouthful and Isa was merely a warrior, not anything grand or high-ranking. Even if she were, she doubted that she would have patience for such formalities.
"They better kill me if it comes to that." Her finger stilled on the tip of the arrow and she pressed a bit harder to feel it prick. When she pulled away a small drop of blood welled up and her eyes dropped to watch it. "Because I tend to hold a grudge. I don't take well to being injured and I'd rather not have to systemically kill your people, you know? I've got a nasty temper."
She glanced up and offered her a small smile to soften the cruelty of her words. It was not among her plans to do any damage to the Skaikru.
"If you were going to spy I suggest being lighter footed. You Skaikru tend to snap twigs and crunch leaves when you plod around in the forest." Isa stuck her finger in the mouth and sucked it clean from blood. When it removed she took a moment to examine the pin-point and saw that no more blood welled up. "You'll also end up with more filling dinners if you don't scare off all the beasts."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ She caught the way his eyes followed the motion of her finger and the peek of his tongue darting over his lips. That and his words were the only true hint she was having an affect on him. He was not pushing and left the ball in her court to do with as she pleased.
It was a nice sensation.
"Maybe I do," She watched him step closer as she slid her blade back into its sheath. The small whetstone was stashed away and she stood, taking a step towards him. Isa had to wonder if she really wanted to take the opportunity that was beginning to form here, but he had a point. If she did want there to be an opportunity, taking it would be the only course of action to avoid regret. Besides, they had no idea how long the fog would last and it would make for an interesting distraction.
"Oh, I believe I will." A wicked smirk curved her lips as she stepped closer, closing most of the distance between them. Her hand raised, brushing against his clothed chest. Her eyes finally left his, lowering to his own. The gaze lingered for a moment, long enough for him to notice, before she looked up at him again. "Well, come on big boy. Don't give me time to change my mind."

I picked Marcus because he's the leader who was willing to put the needs of many over the needs of the few (culling). The Arkers need a leader like that in order to survive.
Buttttt, I would've picked Abby as well if I could have, though I don't believe she's as good of a leader as Marcus is. I feel like she and Marcus should both be Chancellor - together. Like an adult parallel to Bellamy and Clarke. They're both capable apart, but together they'd do so much better.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "Yes, either way we're prepared." The Azgeda prided thelmselves on being as prepared as possible for anything. Life in wintry lands required them to be at the top of their game. Food, pelts, weapons, armour, and regular training. They were a busy people.
As much as Isa loved a good battle, she sincerely hoped that she would not have to meet him in battle. While she may not feel an attachment to the male, she also felt no desire to fight him. He was a decent sort and not an enemy she would enjoy killing if it came to that.
She turned her thoughts away from potential battles to the more enjoyable conversation she was having.
"Oh yes, you're quite right." Her eyes remained on his as she ran her finger along the edge of the blade. She had managed to make him smirk. While it was not a real smile, which she had not been aiming for anyways, it was certainly quite the sight. He was a handsome man and had a rather charming, heated expression.
She lifted her knife and tapped it against her lip thoughtfully. "I make it a point to never regret anything. So I would be a full to turn down a bit of fun when it presents itself."
Isa was not sure when the fact that he was Skaikru left her thoughts, but she was not complaining. She trusted him, at least for now, and the conversation between the two of them had a growing heat to it that appealed to her baser instincts.
Nothing in the treaty said she could not 'dally' with whomever she desired to dally with. And she certainly intended to dally.
"Question is, is there an opportunity present?"

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "I am Isa of the Azgeda," She inclined her head slightly, looking down at Annika's hand. Confusion flashed across her face for a split second before she connected the dots. She put her hand in hers and gave it a firm shake. "It is good to meet you on peaceful terms, Annika of the Skaikru."
Isa released her hand and returned it to her lap. Her fingers found the tip of her arrow and she began to tap her pointer finger against the sharp edge. She had never been one to sit still for every long.
"I'm still going to spy on your people." She pointed out after a long moment of silence. While she may have an understanding with one, and even the beginning of what might be a friendship, but she was still an outsider to them. Walking into the camp would likely result in her getting shot, or at the very least attacked before Annika could speak up to defend her - if she even did. "I won't harm anyone unless they harm me first, so keep that in mind in case any of your people end up dead or worse."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "Few children are born with pale hair. Fewer keep it into their adult years." She motioned in the direction of her village with a flippant flick of her wrist. It was a simple matter of fact true for any Grounder clan. Brunettes outnumbered blondes and as blondes hooke up with brunettes, the numbers of blondes lessened. It was just the way things were. "It usually darkens over the years, hence the rarity."
"Yes, I am." The weapons strapped to her back and side was evidence enough of that, but she found no issue in confirming it. She doubted that Clarke was daft enough not to know a warrior when she saw one, especially with plenty of clues to make it obvious. "I'll speak to them about that. They've also come up to me to ask about medical stuff. If you've noticed a few broken noses now you know why."
"Hunting," Isa looked at her, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. Either the woman was interested in her or she had something she wanted from her. Perhaps a mixture of both. "I don't do guardwork if I can help it."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "No hard feelings." Isa would be a hypocrite if she were to feel offended that he had been planning to make his getaway with her has a distraction. It had not been a personal matter at all. Just two people willing to do what it took to survive. "It did work out for the best, thankfully."
She was not surprised to hear that her assumptions about the Skaikru were correct. They were not willing to pay the price that the Trikru desired them to pay. It was against ones own nature to give up their life, especially when they believed they might have a fighting chance to survive. It was admirable even if their chances of casualties were fairly high
Isa said nothing for a while. If he did not understand that the why of the accidents did not matter then that was his own problem. She had made it clear enough that it was the deaths that motivated the Trikru, not the motives behind it. It was a simple fact of life. Debts must be paid and lessons must be learned.
"I would wish you luck in the war, but that would be wishing my allies ill." She tapped her whetstone against her blade a few times thoughtfully. "I can wish you luck in peace. Maybe the winds will turn and you'll be able to come to a reasonable agreement."
Not that she thought it would happen. She had fought against the Trikru before and knew all too well how stubborn they could be. The longer the tension and killing went on, the harder it would be for both parties to find some reasonable agreement. Peace was a longshot.
"Hmm, I suppose I do." There was a purring lilt to her voice as she contemplated his words. She had not lied when she claimed she had not had a chance for pleasure since she was last home. A spar against another Azgeda warrior had turned heated in a different manner. Double the fun. Unfortunately she had nothing of the sort since coming to the Trikru lands.
He was probably right. She should take advantage of opportunities while she was away from home. What harm would there be? It would actually be better to seek particular bits of fun here, where the risk of attachment was lower since she lived elsewhere.
"You're right. I can't be all work and no play. There's plenty of titillating opportunities here, I'm sure."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ TAG: @murphy Isa was pleased by Murphy's aptitude. Although it was clear he did not trust her or her people, he made no attempts to escape or betray them. He learned quickly and she rarely had to repeat or demonstrate a technique more than a few times. He was shaping up to be a fine Azgeda warrior.
"You are wise to only hate those who deserve it." The approval could be easily heard in her generally deadpan voice. That was a lesson that she could not have taught him. Her hands stilled and her eyes lifted from her blade. They paused on the ligature marks and she noted they were healing well, but had a feeling they might not fade completely.
"Something similar." A small smile softened her face, but the glint in her eyes was cruel with sadistic pleasure. Isa was a warrior through and through and took pleasure in a good fight and even more pleasure in revenge. "I was second to Valdis and he was jealous. He tried to sabotage me and turn her against me. When that failed he tried to kill me himself... So I strung him up with his own entrails."
Her eyes returned to her blade and she resumed working the whetstone against the edge. She felt no shame about what she had done to that man. She had not regretted it then, nor did she regret it now although sometimes she heard his screams in her sleep. Even that did not bother her. "We like to keep things fair. Pay what you owe, and collect payment from those who owe you."
She fell into her thoughts for a time, not speaking again until she set aside the whetstone and tested the sharpness of her blade against her thumb. A hum of displeasure left her when it took too long for her tastes to draw blood. Isa picked up the whetstone again and continued to sharpen it.
"Blood must have blood, Murphy, but be sure of the debt that's owed." She glanced up again. "Funnel your hate into strength and creativity, but make your judgements and take your payments with logic rather than emotion."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "She may be, but negotions are difficult when you don't understand those you're speaking to." She dusted off a particularly large chunk of stone and plopped her rear down on it, crossing her legs and leaning her back against the wall. "She did well to get as far as she did."
"It probably did." There was no denying that what happened with the panther-creatures had faciliated the truce between the two of them. Without asking for anything in return and without knowing she was not Trikru he had helped her. She had repaid his kindness in return. Without the first act of kindness they certainly would not have ended up in this position even if they had somehow ended up holed up in this old building together.
"To be honest, I was going to leave you for dead to make my own escape. Until you shot the beast, that is." Isa did not like owing someone and returned all favours as quickly as possible. It had also put him from a faceless disposable stranger to a faceless stranger with some morals, even if it was a bit risky to try to save someone who might have turned around and killed him in return.
"I think it's stupid." Unable to sit still for very long Isa pulled a short blade from her boot and a whetstone from her pocket. She set to work sharpening the blade as she spoke to him. "Most of the deaths on your side were accidents. Like the kind children would make, but blood must have blood. Unfortunately I don't believe you can repay them, even if you were willing to. I don't think there's enough Skaikru left to make things even."
"Not for some while," She lifted her eyes from her blade, peering at him from beneath lowered lashed. There was not a hint of modesty or shyness in her tone or expression. Just the hint of heat in her light eyes and amusement in the small grin. "I haven't been home for a while and I don't often get a chance for pleasure here."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "Criminals." Isa swallowed the information thoughtfully. It made no sense to her to lump in those who stole t survive with murderers. Why let the murderers live at all, especially if there were so many who had to steal to be fed? The Sky People's society did indeed confuse Isa, if only because she saw it as a waste to throw away people who were survivors. That and people who were framed, well, that was a waste of life as well.
"A waste. Sounds to me like the majority of you hundred should've been the ones kept alive. Sounds like you have more of what it takes to live then they do."
"Some advice for the upcoming winter?" She motioned towards one of the nearby trees. "The inner bark is edible. Not tasty, but it'll do in a pinch. It's better tasting as a tea, but it'll make you sleepy that way. Oh, and watch the animals between now and then. You may be able to locate their homes where they may be hibernating or storing food."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS Seeing that Annika had taken a seat, Isa took the opportunity to sink down to the ground and lay the bow and arrow in her lap. She was no longer poised to attack and showing that she was trusting Annika enough not to take advantage of her letting her guard down. "Highly likely. I heard the Skaikru have guns. Haven't seen them yet and I'd rather not get shot."
"A neccessary evil." But she frowned at that. While she could understand sending a number down to test the surface of the planet, she questioned who they sent down. The Skaikru were young and untrained. While they seemed to have some skills, it was apparent they were not fully prepared. A waste of young, strong people. "You were expendable to them, weren't you?"
"I could tell them as much, but they may decide to take you up on such offers." Isa spoke in the flat deadpan she typically used, which made it difficult for most people to realise when she was cracking a joke. She could understand why the woman felt offended by the thought of being considered unworthy of fighting. "From what I've seen, you have adapted well. It's not your adaptability they see as a problem but merely time. It is uncertain you will have enough time to fully prepare for the upcoming cold - especially with your numbers dropping. I do hope you survive to see winter, at least. There is nothing quite as beautiful nor as cruel as snow."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "I've heard it was a woman Anya spoke with." Isa made a thoughtful noise as she tried to remember everything that was said about that meeting. It happened before she had made it to the Trikru lands and talk of it had dwindled by the time she visited them directly. While she was fuzzy on details it was clear that the meeting had not ended well. "Perhaps you should engage in negotiations. You seem to be doing fairly well today."
"At this moment it's not expected, but since we are allies there is still the possibility they may call upon us to join in battle." If the Trikru asked them to fight they would have to consider their options carefully. Fighting alongside their allies was well and good, but risking their lives for a battle they had no real passion or stakes in was not one of their desire. Turning down the Trikru, however, could cause problems within the Coalition if they were not careful. "Let's just hope they don't call on us for aid against your people."
The tone he spoke to her in made her blood run a bit hotter in her veins. The red flags bloomed brighter in her mind but she ignored them for the time being. It was just harmless teasing, she reminded herself. Chances were good she may never see this Sky Person again. So what harm was it in having a little bit of fun.
"Maybe I am." Her own tone shifted a little, matching his own underlying tone. It was weird speaking to anyone in this manner, let alone a near stranger. Her own people rarely bothered with this kind of teasing. Life was too short to play too many games. "Is that such a bad thing? A little pleasure every now and then is hardly a bad thing."

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS It was the Azgeda who found @murphy after the Skaikru banished him. Knowing well the aggressions between the people from the Sky and the Trikru, they came to the decision of taking him. The Trikru desired information but the Azgeda saw more potential in Murphy. It took some negotiations but soon the Sky Person was left in their custody under the condition that they share any information about the Skaikru with their allies.
He was strong and they welcomed him into their community as a potential Grounder rather than a prisoner. Isa stepped forward and claimed him as a possible second and the camp went about its business as if there was nothing odd about having a stranger in their midst.
Isa was not much of a diplomat, but she was a fierce and skilled warrior. She shared what she had with Murphy and provided him with basic weapons and, most important, began teaching him how to use them properly as she gave him bits of information about the Azgeda ways.
"Do you hate them?" She asked one day as she sat honing the edge of her blade, the first truly personal question she had asked him. "The Skaikru, for what they did to you?"

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "I won't tell it to my allies." It sounded harsh to her ears and she did not mean it as such so she elaborated. "I don't have a way with words, Sky Man. I am a warrior and a loner. I'll speak to my people and leave the silver-tongued business to them. Maybe some good can come from it for all of us."
"I appreciate it. I have yet to harm any of your people and I would rather not be mistaken for a Trikru, if it can be avoided." Truth be told, all she had done as watch the Skaikru and listen to what the Trikru had to say about them. She was curious about the people from the sky in a way she was generally not curious about those she fought against. Maybe it was because of where they came from. They were a novelty and something she had not faced before which put them in the area of something she would rather learn about than kill. If they attacked her or the Azgeda, however, that curiosity would be cast aside.
"I'm certain your people did not mean to start a war." But war is what they were getting as a result of their actions leading to the death of the Trikru people. It was cause and effect instigated by ignorance rather than cruelty, if her estimation of what happened were correct.
"Either I am too complimentary or I underestimate you." She faked a sigh and shook her head, trying not to smile. Although they had been arguing before, they had settled into an amicable teasing that was actually rather fun. "It seems as if there is no pleasing you. Pray tell, what am I supposed to do?"

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "War doesn't last forever." Isa spoke from experience, remembering fighting and killing the Trikru and now sitting among them as an ally. In the chill of battle peace seems impossible, but nothing ever lasts forever. One day the Trikru and Skaikru may come to peace or one day one will destroy the other. It was even possible for the peace between the Trikru and Azgeda to break. "Nothing lasts forever."
"I'll speak to Queen Nia of your people." She decided that then and there. The war did not feel like her own, but they could not be the Skaikru's allies until the war was settled. At any rate, the possibility of not being enemies with them was a possibility. It was rare that Isa hoped for peace. She had warrior's blood, filled with ice and bloodlust, but this was one of the rare occasions she hoped there would not be battles.
"You're determined." That much was obvious from the moment the Skaikru landed. They had been disorganized and immature from what Isa had heard, but they adapted at a decent speed. "That stubbornness will keep you going for quite some time."
His question was met with a raised eyebrow and a deadpan response. "No, not at all. It's all sunshine and beaches. Why would you think that it was cold?"
She could not help it. Teasing him over his silly question happened without thought. It was the closest she had been to playful in a long time and felt nice. It also raised red flags in her mind, warning her that she needed to get away from him soon lest she form an attachment of some sort.
