We have noticed some members struggling to start threads or get some plots rolling! We have created this thread to help you get some ideas and starting points for your characters so that you do not feel stuck or at a loss for plots and ideas. We have lots of different ways for you to get things rolling with your characters so we encourage you to take a read at the suggestions we have. Here are some things you can do and some things to keep in mind:
Plotters » You are free to create a thread in which you can plot for your own characters. This is an easy way not only for others to get in contact with you on neutral ground, but for you to do the same. If you have an OC, we strongly recommend you put a brief description about them in your plotter so that it saves another member from having to read through your entire bio should they prefer not to. » A lot of characters have plotters. If you want to rp with someone, the plotter is one way to approach them. Feel free to post in it and express your interest to role play with that character, or even suggest some potential ideas. It will help generate discussion for a plot.
Plotting Ads » We have the option to create plotting ads. This is basically someone with an idea which is not specifically aimed at a certain muse posting an ad to see if someone would like to do the plot with them. » You can always post your ideas there to see if someone would like to do them with you. Maybe this way you can do the plot you always wanted to do with someone you might have not expected.
Personal Messages » We have this feature on the side so you can privately send the other people messages. » If you want to rp with someone, shoot them a message, be proactive about it.
ChatBox » The ChatBox is an easy place to start feeling up to another user before approaching them. » If you then want to rp with them pm them. » Avoid telling the other (or other users as a whole) to pm you, as this might leave a bad impression (in many cases it will appear as if you're not really interested). Rather than expect others to come to you, it could be more effective to approach other members or expressing interest by discussing some ideas in the CB and then taking it a step further via PM. » Get active, show the other your interest, it will make it a lot easier for the two of you to plot.
OCs & Canons » If you rp an OC, please don't expect the Canons to come up with all the ideas. » You as the OC probably know the Canon a lot better than the Canon knows your OC » It will be a lot easier for the mun of the OC to come up with ideas for OC and Canon to interact than for the mun of the Canon, so don't take it personally if a Canon struggles with nailing down an idea after approaching you. Help them plot, come up with ideas as well. We understand if it can be tough sometimes, however all we ask is that it not be totally dependent on the canon to come up with the plots. Even if you can suggest a timeline for your OC to fit into, or give information that would allow the member to have a better understanding of your OC. All these things will help with plotting and allow both members to feel inspired for threads. General Etiquette » Try to make the other know you're interested in plotting. For some approaching you is hard, you will help that along massively if you show interest and enthusiasm in plotting. » Try to come up with ideas. Plotting lives off of discussion. You will find your plots a lot more engaging for the both of you, if you both contribute to it. » Try to help with deciding. If your partner gives you multiple ideas and asks you to decide, it can appear as discouraging if you tell them to pick whatever they like without any personal input of your own. It may appear that you are disinterested in plotting and chances are your partner actually wanted to but may have needed your help deciding.

As the Show progresses we are getting a look at the Flora and Fauna of The 100. We're taking a closer look at the known and possible Fauna, include suggestions, regulations so you can have a selection of animals you can have appear in your rps.
Fauna
Deer A deer is one of the first animals the delinquents encounter. It is very similar to the common deer we find at the moment. It barely evolved. » not hostile, will run from potential threads » edible » can suffer from mutations due to being exposed to radiation
Butterfly Some butterflies have been encountered early in Season 1. At least one of the breeds is bio - luminescent. » not hostile, will tolerate touch if approached carefully » bio - luminescent (due to this it can be assumed they might be poisonous)
Horse Horses have barely evolved. They are very similar to the horses we have. It can be expected that some breeds have gone extinct in the nuclear apocalypse. » domesticated » can suffer from mutations due to being exposed to radiation
Gorilla Pauna is a well known Gorilla living around TonDC, specifically in the ruins of Smithsonian's National Zoo. It's bigger than their modern relatives, probably having either adjusted to radiation, prey or a predator. » hostile - is known to kill » probably partially carnivorous
Water Snake We have seen the Water Snake twice in the show and heard about it. It's a big snake, capable of killing humans. It probably evolved to the size due to their prey. » hostile - is known to kill » carnivorous Poisonous Snake The poisonous snakes have their origin in the book series. It looks like poisonous snakes in modern day as it might not have had to adjust to the size of prey or predators. » hostile » carnivorous » there is an antidote known - in the show to the Grounders. Rabbit Rabbits are similar to modern day rabbits. They are mentioned in passing in both book and show. » not hostile, will run from potential threads » edible
Bird Birds appear to mostly be very similar to their modern pendant. Not much is known about them, so as of right now we would expect them to be like the birds we know. Boar Boards have been mentioned as meat the 100 hunted and ate. » possibly hostile, will run as well » edible Panther A panther has been seen early season 1 and later been mentioned. They seem to be relatively common, common enough to hunt and eat. They are bigger than their modern pendants, either reacting to radiation, prey or predators. It is possible that they grew as big in response to Paunas growth. » hostile » carnivorous » edible (though it doesn't taste nice) PossibleTigers Sumatran Tigers were kept in the Smithsonian's National Zoo. As they are rare to almost extinct in modern day there are breeding programs. If they were successful a population of Tigers will still have lived in the zoo. The great cats like the Panther will have had a chance to survive and reproduce, though Tigers will struggle. » carnivorous » territorial » hostile Lions Just like Tigers Lions might have survived the nuclear apocalypse due to the breeding programs to preserve the great cats. Lions will most likely not have changed too much in shape or behavior. Their lack of size will be made up by their habit to live in family groups and their successful hunting strategies. Their coloring might have become darker to blend in. » carnivorous » hostile Dodos Flightless birds exist all over the world at the moment. Some might develop, similar to Dodos. For a lack of a better word they might end up being called Dodos even though they technically only resemble the extinct mauritian flightless birds. » very peaceful » can be easily domesticated » edible - as well as their eggs » shown as part of the tattoos of flamekeepers.
Dogs & Wolves Dogs and Wolves are likely survivors of the first occurence of Praimfaya through various ways. » carnivorous » hostile when not domesticated » can be easily domesticated » edible
