.:Physical Appearance:. Etain is of medium height and has a slender figure. She has facial features that show a hint of exotic descent, a common factor in most Grounders compared to other people (i.e. Mountain Men, Arkers). She has long, dark hair which is naturally curly and often tamed. Her eyes are round, and she almost always has black makeup smeared around them, as well as war paint when the occasion calls for it. She dressed comfortably and in neutral colors so not to attract too much attention to herself.

.:Personality:. Etain is not exactly a people person. She socializes when she is forced to, but does not always like conversing with others unless it has to do with her duties as a warrior. Her standoffish demeanor is also a clear reflection in her dislike towards others. She doesn't offer a friendly smile or has a welcoming aura about her. She can be quiet, seemingly unsympathetic, and become easily bitter and annoyed. She despises incompetency and wasting time with trivial things. She doesn't have a good sense of humor and most jokes as well as sarcasm tend to go over her head. Etain also has a tendency to stare at people, uncaring if it makes them uncomfortable. She does not at all like the Sky People and only speaks to them when it is necessary . . . or when she feels it is necessary.
.:Special Skills:. Because she started her training as a warrior late, Etain's skills are not as advanced as the others. She is learning, and can usually hold her own in battle, but she is not as strong in combat as some of the others. Her weapon of choice is a long spear, though trains with most weapons that the Grounders use so that she is not limited to just one. Also due to her late start, her English is more broken than other Grounders. She is still learning the language and this is evident when she chooses to converse with other people.

.:History:. Etain was born as the single child in a family of caring parents. Her upbringing was simple, as her father fought with the Woods Clan and her mother raised her daughter. Etain was always a quiet child, often keeping to herself and having no prospects of becoming a warrior. She just assumed she would marry one and her life would be what her mother's was: a wife and eventually a mother. However, certain events changed the course of this seemingly simple plan. Unbeknown to Etain, her father had a deformity on his foot, one that he had managed to successfully conceal for many years.

Unfortunately, he was exposed and banished from the Grounder clan, as was their law. Her mother decided to go with him, and of course, Etain. She was a child at this time, though understood what was happening and did not object. Her family and her lived in banishment for a few years to come, until her mother grew extremely ill. Her father was not a healer, nor were the basic medicines enough and she soon passed away. For a year or so, it was just Etain and her father . . . but that too soon came to an end. He seemingly disappeared and despite her searching, she never found him. Orphaned and alone, Etain felt the only option she had was to return to the Woods Clan, and attempt to gain a position as a warrior in their army.

Considering she was not the one who held a deformity, and was a child at the time they left, they accepted her back into their clan and she started training right away. She was nearly 17 at the time. Because of Etain's lack of social skills, her training did not come with ease, though she was determined to do her best. Her combat skills were put to the test when a year after his disappearance, she found her father who had become a Reaper. She killed him that day, and thus, severed any ties she had to her family.
