Moving on from what happen had been hard but he had finally got there, an endeavour which seemed as insurmountable as climbing over an ever growing mountain, but he got there nonetheless. But the occasional dream of the memory always seemed to have set him back for a few moments. He glanced over to his sword which made him think briefly of his warrior life. Now every and most grounders are trained to fight and defend themselves, but there are some who are trained to solely be warriors from a very young age. Thenn was one such, but now is a scout. Losing Rurik did take its toll. May we meet again Rurik. He thought. A saying he picked up from the Sky People. He’d spent many hours on his scouts following their movements and listening to their conversations unbeknownst to them. That was when they first arrived here though. Its harder to go for so long without being noticed by them now. What’s even harder nowadays is to go without having to put up your sword in defense. A task he could manage steadily enough. But at present it seemed he must become the warrior he was once again, even if only for a night. Not only the warriors, but many grounders of different duties were called to arms. The commander of the coalition needed as much feet approaching the Mountain as she could get.
Thenn would have just volunteered to stay behind in his village back in Azgeda hiding behind the excuse of “protecting his village” which is just as important and noble. Some would say that isn’t an excuse but just as much as a priority. For Thenn though it was definitely an excuse. No… NO. Not this time. They HAVE Echo…. It was true. Echo was a captive of Mount Weather. Thenn and Echo have been friends for quite some time. If Thenn wasn’t with Rurik odds are he might be with Echo. The three trained together for the warrior life. Echo was a fellow citizen of the Ice Nation, and a friend.
The pair did have somewhat of a falling out after Thenn decided to give up the warrior life. Echo became cold and distant. Honestly, Thenn didn’t put too much of an effort to mend their broken relationship. He assumed she was like the others who lost respect for him. Maybe she was embarrassed to be seen with him. He hoped there was something more to it, but never got around to asking. None of this matters now, I’m coming Echo, I’m coming. I will prove to you the warrior I still am. Or maybe the warrior who didn’t abandon you… could that be it Echo? Is that why? Thenn gave a shake of his head and got focused. It all went by so fast , he was already approaching the mountain with the rest of the coalition. His heart began pounding, flashes of Rurik skipped through his mind. He heard his voice, he heard his screams… Looking around he began to sweat. Am I really doing this? No! Focus Thenn, never forget Rurik, keep him in your heart, but not in your thoughts especially not now. You lost him, but I won’t lose Echo to. Thenn gave another shake of his head, took deep breaths and calmed down. The waiting didn’t seem to help though. He was ready for the battle to commence.
All of a sudden a retreat was called. Lexa had made a deal… Thenn was confused but also a little relieved that fighting would not take place on this night, which made him feel guilty and weak. But it still meant Echo would be free. With all the blood the Mountain Men has spilled… there should be a battle tonight, even as much as I don’t want it to happen, that is what must be. I wonder what our Queen will think of this move. The mountain seemed to be organized chaos. The captives of the mountain were spilling out the front doors of their stronghold. The coalition was in a retreat. However many grounders were making their way towards the captives, Thenn included. Echo, Where are you? He scanned the field, glancing over her a couple times before fixing on her voice. He wasn’t surprised; it looked as if she wasn’t ready to leave just yet. Blood for blood after all.
As he approached he noticed the guard that was forming around her. They weren’t even Azgeda. She must not be enjoying that… He made eye contact with her. What did they do to her in there? Those bastards. She looked almost broken. He could tell her spirit wasn’t but physically she looked drained. Thenn was so thankful to see her, however he didn’t where any of his emotion as usual. He approached Echo along with her supposed security detail. Moving with grace and his solemn look, it gave him an appearance of somebody somewhat important. “I am Thennos of Azgeda, direct attendant to Queen Nia…” A lie of course, but these ones won’t know any better. They looked like some lowly dregs that just got orders barked at them. “… This one is of my nation, I’ll continue the escort from here. She will not be of any trouble.” They glanced at each other for a few seconds then one just gave a nod. It seemed as if they didn’t care who Thenn was just as long as someone else took open responsibility for her so they can get home as quick as they could.
He walked over to her with his sword in hand still. His heart broke a little to see her like this. For a split second he saw Rurik stand next to her with his arm on her shoulder. At that moment he could hold it in anymore he dropped his sword and embraced her with a hug. “Echo… I- I- I am so sorry…” Thenn wasn’t sure how Echo would react to this. Thenn surprised himself. All this time after Rurik’s death he maintained such an emotionless persona. “I’m here, you see Echo. I was ready to fight for my nation, for the coalition but above it all for my friend…” His voice faltered, but no tears were flowing. Suddenly he got angry. “Are you ashamed of me now Echo? No that’s right you weren’t ashamed of me you were just embarrassed to be seen with me.” Thenn noticed the eyes surround him. Quickly he picked up his sword and sheathed it to his side. “Come on let’s get moving to our own before some else deems it fit to give us both an escort. No fight will happen here tonight Echo, but don't worry the doom of the Mountain Men will come. Our Queen will demand it.” His tone sounded almost bitter. But did he really have a right to be bitter with her? He came to her side and put his arm out to help support her while she walked. Hoping she would accept it.

The winds were picking up, the cold was always bearable for Thenn. It is when the winds pick up that it becomes bothersome to him. Although it did little to effect him, enduring the winds is what he is used to. Like him and so many of his people, he was able to keep his composure. Besides he has dealt with much colder winds before where it felt like glass was cutting his face, though these winds did seem to be taking toll on this girl’s poise. Her face was red with windburn and cracks ran through her lips. Coming from the stars she clearly was unaware of the fact licking lips in these cold winds will only make them chap quicker. He let her continue on in her rant finding it most amusing and even managing to break a smirk but quickly catching himself, bouncing his face back normal.
A spunky little thing… Isn’t she.. He thought. Taking a few steps closer he focused a little more on her features. Looking through the chapped lips and the red on her skin Thenn could tell she was a beautiful girl. Not necessarily his cup of tea though. However he could still appreciate her looks. This was the first Skaikru, male or female, he ever had the opportunity to interact with. Sure on his scouts he spied on them a few times, never getting to actually interact with them. Assuming this girl was Skaikru, in her rant she never mentioned her name or her people, which was odd. In grounder culture, they always announced themselves to strangers. Also stating their business and intent, the problem was just usually sorting out the liars.
He didn’t need confirmation though, the girl was so clearly from the stars. It would be nice to know her name. It’s clear she thinks she’s is about to die, so maybe she thought best to throw out formalities. Skaikru seemed to think of his people as nothing but savages living in complete anarchy. But they have their culture, rules, and customs. Seeing the way the Sky People lived though he could understand why they might think that.
“Clearly you deemed a few things fit, girl. Like not telling me your name, this would go a lot better if I didn’t have to call you girl. Would you agree?” He got closer then slowly began to circle her. Thenn began to enjoy this situation. He realized the shiftiness and mystique that surround him. How she must of thought of the “big bad grounder” that’s here to kill her. Of course she did have that spunk and didn’t seem to care that she was going to die. But he could see through it, her uneasiness seemed to ooze through. You must be brave though even when you are scared. Every grounder knows this. In his experience you must be scared to be brave. That’s the only time it comes through. He began to think on this, and he realized she probably doesn’t even realize how brave she is being right now. She is standing up to that “big bad grounder” at this moment.
As he made the full circle around he returned to his starting point. Trying to find his words all that blurted out that moment in a very annoyed tone was “Could you stop licking your lips, your only making them worse.” He then plopped down on the ground and gestured for her to sit. He unsheathed his sword and laid it to the side of him. Thenn couldn’t decide if he did it, to show he wasn’t a threat or to try to intimidate. The ladder was true but he decided the former was the real reason. That last thing he wanted was an altercation but he didn’t want this girl to feel completely at ease, at least just not yet. Who knows? She could be psycho. Looking at his surroundings. he realized that this was probably the last place she want to sit but something told him that she wouldn’t refuse the offer to sit. Thenn still had the whole suspicious grounder thing going for him.
"Oh, and I’m not going to kill you, your safe. At least with me, for now. You are lucky I am the scout that found you and not one of my comrades. Us Azgeda can be just as unforgiving as this weather. It seems to be taking a toll on you.” Or maybe there was something else on her mind. This was the last thing he expected he would be doing. Who am kidding, I spent hours watching these people, I’m not going to pass up an opportunity to speak with one. However you wouldn’t have been able to see his excitement. He held on to his stoic demeanor and looked upon her with a gaze as cold as ice waiting for a name, and answer, anything.

Thennos lived in almost a teepee kind of style large hut by himself as he preferred it. He was covered in fur blankets of the various creatures that roamed the Ice Nation. Furs of white, brown, grey and black covered his body and sheltered him in his slumber. Long locks of black hair seemed to cover his face as the blankets did his body. From what was showing from his face, through his hair, did look peaceful, but seemed to be plagued by flashes of discomfort. Thenn was dreaming, rather, having a nightmare of the day of Rurik’s death. It was so vivid and real if felt as though he was living through it all over again. Rurik’s body being cut down in front him and the Trikru warrior grabbing him by his hair, placing his blade on his neck. For some reason the scene appeared to freeze. Instead the Trikru warrior seemed to be shouting. He couldn’t make sense of it at first, the voice seemed muffled. Suddenly it became clear as day. “Thenn!” He was screaming his name. That was enough to jolt him awake to a more familiar voice.
“Thennos… Thennos, wake up.” It was Bront, a fellow scout for his village. “I’m back it was an easy round, nothing interesting. Get dressed and get going. Sun rise is upon us.” Thenn said nothing but acknowledged him with a curt nod. Bront promptly left which resulted in Thenn being alone to his thoughts.
Its harder to go for so long without being noticed by them. The people who came from the stars are quick learners. He let out a sigh, pushed his hair back and emerged his naked body from the cover of the furs. Walking over to his garments he let out a yawn and a much needed stretch for good measure. As he was putting on his clothing he looked back at his sword. He hated always having to put it in his hand. By all means he moved on from Kurik but fighting still gave him a shiver of fright. However, he wasn’t so stupid enough to go prancing around without it, still holding his ground if he must. Even if his fighting wasn't what it used to be he could still hold his own.
After he got all bundled up he moved to his sword reached out and grabbed it. Thenn held it there for a while before sheathing the blade to his side. He put out his fire but left numerous candles aflame and grabbed his bow and arrow as well. Just in case he spots any game on his scout. Emerging from his teepee, he breathed in the crisp air he loved so much, a perk that came with living in his land. Breathing out he watched his breat exit his body like smoke. He gazed out in to the snowy plane his village was nestled in. There were patches of grass and plants sticking out, some were covered beautifully by frost. To the north the planes seem to continue forever, endless, and to the west there some small mountains. The south and east were covered with trees. It would be those very trees to the east he’ll enter to begin his scout. His village was one of the villages that layed close to the boarder. It was his job along with Bront’s and a few others in the village to maintain a constant scout of their part of the border area. If something was seen that could be deemed as interesting the scouts would report it to their respective village leader who in turn would relay the information their Queen.
Thenn continued into the plane for a few moments to see if he could spot a rabbit before he started his scout. No such luck though. The dark grey sky began to swell with some color. The sun began to peak out of the forest from the east. Which lead the planes of snow to sparkle like diamonds. It never gets old. He looked back at his village, which was mostly a collection of teepee huts like his, some small or large. With an occasional cabin made from logs as well as some huts.
Making his way into the forest his movements looked graceful. Moving through the snow and woods with stone and branches on the ground with such an ease it looked like he was floating above the ground. Time seemed to move slowly as it always did while he did these scouts. As he made his way deeper into the wood it didn’t seem to matter that the sun was rising. Grey still covered the sky. His plan was to go far enough south east where he was close enough to the boarder but still clearly in Azgeda territory, and travel north along side of it. Then make his way south west to his village, basically a triangle path.
It was an uneventful scout until he his eyes became fixed on a figure in the distance. Definitely a human, Thenn approached silently and carefully. As he got closer he could tell right away, by her movements she was Skaikru. Not even Trikru moved that clumsily through the snow. She maybe could be from the Desert, but doubtfull one would find their way all the way up here. She doesn’t quite have their look either. He saw the bags of roots and plants, figured she unknowingly wondered to far while foraging. No matter she was still trespassing and Thenn had a duty. He was relieved though that she wasn’t some type of warrior. If this can be handled by a passive route the better. Then again who knows, she might be concealing a small blade of two. Wise to still be cautious. Approaching her was easy she didn’t notice him until he got much closer. At that point he wasn’t even trying to conceal his movements. Given she did seem deep in thought. Thenn made note of that.
Keeping the distance between them at safe 20 feet he announced himself. “Ai laik Thennos kom Azgeda!” He hoped hearing his native tounge might shake her up a bit. However he did follow up with English. “I am Thennos of Azgeda, or as you may call it Ice Nation. My guess you are Skaikru, now tell me why have you deemed it fit for you to come crossing on my Queens land?” He was trying not to sound intimidating nor welcoming. There was an element to his voice that sounded stern though. And he did his best to not wear any emotion. Thenn also made sure as well to introduce himself as Thennos. His mother calls him Thenn… so did Kurik… but not this stranger.

.:Name:. Thennos
.:Nick Name:. Thenn
.:Affiliation:. Azgeda/Azkru
.:Age:. 25
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:.
Thenn has a muscular body but is by no means bulging with it. His build is more of a muscular lean than a bulky berserker type appearance. He is cut with clear definition however all of it gets covered in the various furs his garments are made of. The weather of his native area is not at forgiving as some of his grounder counter parts. The winds and snow of his land can be very harsh where sometimes it feels like glass on his face. However its not always like this, many days the cold can be mild and bearable where he will wear a much lighter garb. His fur garments range from 3 different colors. You will usually see him in furs of white or gray, or a mix of both, anything to blend in with his snowy environment. The third color his a fur outfit made of only black furs. Which is unusual choice for his people. His skin is lighter but not really all that pale looking. He does not keep his hair short, Thenn lets his hair grow to about neck/chin length. So he keeps it check doesn't really let it go past there. His hair is plagued by very wavey and curvy locks, with dark brown hair and grey eyes so dark they both border on black. He enjoys keeping his hair as wild as his people are.
Even though he has thick clothing of fur this does not stop him from appearing graceful and quick as he moves through the snow forests and plains of his land. Thenn's face is very solemn and guarded. His face gives nothing away to how he is feeling. Which can make people uneasy when hes around them. If you were to see him the way he carries himself is very dignified and almost courtly you would think he is in a position of power. However he does smile but when he does Thenn never seems to show his teeth and still manages to look serious. There is almost a wise look to him that people can sense which can make him appear a few years older than he actually is.
.:Height:. 5'11 and 3/4 inches close to 6 foot!

.:Personality:.
As a child Thenn was always cheerful and happy, even more so throughout his teenage years. However after his lover died in battle he became less so. Thenn moved on from it eventually but the experience changed him. It made him more stoic in appearance, you can never tell his emotion. He keeps calm through glee and anger trying his best to stay level headed and analyze the situation without giving too much away of how he is feeling. He tries his best come off as cold as his land. Many who interact with Thenn get the impression of wisdom. Which is true Thenn does possess a certain strategic mind trying to find solutions that can avoid altercations all together or minimize them as much as possible. This stemmed from the fact that Thenn became scarred after with what happened to his lover. He suffered from PSTD for quite a while, never putting his sword in his hand. He didn't want to be a warrior anymore being to afraid. Eventually Thenn moved on and got the sword back in his hand. He still is hesitant about it but will stand his ground if needed. Which is why he does his best to avoid combat. He is more on the quiet side, he'll rarely come up and start a conversation on his own. But if you start it he doesn't mind talking.
.:Special Skills:.
As a former front-line warrior he is very skilled in combat his fighting style is quick and graceful, not brutish. However he can't fight like he used to. Still being hesitant with a blade in his hand and chooses not to fight if possible. His fighting skill wont ever be like what is was until Thenn is able to completely get the experience out of his head. His quick movements and gracefulness does help in his new occupation as a scout for his village.

.:Birthplace:. Earth: Azgeda
.:Family:. Thennauk (Father;deceased) Ginilla (Mother;alive)
.:Occupation:. Scout, formerly front lines warrior.
.:History:.
Thennos was born to Thennauk and Ginilla. Both his parents were born into a village that was apart of Azgeda territory. So his allegiance and loyalty are to the Ice nation, though he is descended from the Boat People through his mothers line. His grandmother was Floukru who somehow, along with her lover, brought dishonour to their village and to the Boat People as a whole. So the leader of their village brought them before the Heda of the Boat People who punished them with banishment. They traveled as nomads for many years untill they found refuge in a village that belonged to Ice Nation. They were happy with their new found home and eternally grateful to the people of the village who bought them in, especially since the Azkru can be just as harsh as their land. The happiness ended when Ginilla's mother's lover went to fight a battle on behalf of their new home, from whence he did not return. She grieved for a few years then found love with a native Azkru of her village. She bore him a daughter(Ginilla) and named her after her Floukru grandmother. Ginilla grew up to become a healer for her village where a warrior by the name of Thennauk found his way to her healers tent after an altercation with Trikru.
It was like gravity the two were instantly drawn to eachother and fell in deep love. Thennos quickly followed, she named him to honour her lover but also didn't like how harsh the names the Azkru chose sounded. She remebered her Floukru heritage and gave her son the "Thenn" but ended it with something that flowed off the tounge a little better thus the name Thennos was given. Although they quickly began calling the child "Little Thenn". When Thenn was still a baby his father passed away due to an infection in a deep cut made by a Triku's blade. Despite his mothers best efforts she was not able to heal him. She raised Thenn to a child on her own with some help of others from her village.
As a child Thenn was very happy, very bubbly. HE did everything and anything to please his mother and his fellow village people. He asked a lot of questions when he was little about life, the earth, about the clans, and of course his father. All his mother told him really that he was a great warrior and the person she loved most, before Little Then came along of course. Eager to be like his father his training as a warrior for his his village and for the Ice Nation as a whole began. Thenn grew and as he did he excelled at his training becoming a good fighter with a sword. He trained along his good friend Kurik. The two both fought well and fought even better together. They felt more comfortable together then with anyone. The two always went into battle with each other side by side. The bond of friendship they had grew in to love for one another. Thenn and Kurik were eachothers first love, and we all know powerful first love can be.
Thenn loved everything about Kurik, his smile, his laugh, and especially how safe he felt with him. When they were together the two of them had a sense of invincibility. And why wouldn't they feel like that? They were young, in love, and strong warriors. But being young and in love goes hand in hand with foolishness. They found themselves in a battle where they bit off more than they could chew. Kurik was cut down in front of him and he was force to watch his throat being slit. Thenn had to watch the life slip away from his lover. The experience completely changed him.
He renounced his warrior ways due to fact he couldn't go a second with out the images of Kurik, dying right before him, running through his head; every time he put his sword in his hand. At first it was unbearable, but he was able to cope with it as time moved on. Thennos eventually was able to continue to hold his own again in combat. Only when he found himself in a force altercation. He gave up on being a warrior and does his best to remain on the passive route. This causes some in his village and in the Ice Nation as a whole to look down on him. Some say he selfishly abandoned his duty. In light of this he decided to become a scout for his people to hopefully bring back some of his honor. Kurik will always have place in his heart, though he has moved on he still thinks of him from time to time and becomes morose. When the Sky People arrived he was very interested to hear about it. He felt the same as most other grounders felt, curious. Although he fears he must soon have to fight on the front lines again, and become the warrior he is supposed be, if it comes down to war. Which is something Thenn might not be ready for...
