Roma's stumble to the rear was met with a quiet huff of laughter, that had worked better than expected. A faked threat, he'd have to try that out with her a second time. He amused himself with it a little longer until she opened her mouth again. Was it possible she was growing more irritating with every syllable? As pissed off as he might have been, Murphy was enjoying it in a way. It gave him the opportunity to get the better of her, and he was sure going to try before she made it back to the tent.
This time he reached to grasp her upper arm, with a tug back towards him, though not too roughly for now. "No, you're not. You'll want a wall to hide behind when you've got spears flying at you like goggle boy." He gave a nod in the vague direction Jasper had been wailing not so long ago, despite all being quiet now. Her next comment gave him pause. So she wanted to use that? All right, he'd go along with it, momentarily seeming to concede, albeit briefly. "Sure...you're right. That goes for all of us, so me and Mbege? We'll take your share of the food, water... your little girlfriend's too. Whatever the hell we want, right? Looks like you'll be going out hunting... so don't worry about the wall."

When he'd felt a gentle touch, he's responded with a burst of desperate energy and backed away like a frightened animal. But they'd taken him in. Octavia had taken him in. He was thankful for that but expected it would only aggravate her brother when he inevitably stepped in at any moment to execute him. At least he might do it quick. Even so, Murphy didn't want to die. Hadn't he run from the grounders, after all? Run and run until he couldn't any longer.
Once in the relative safety of the dropship for some time, he'd drifted a little, in and out of a semi-consciousness and aware of Octavia close by. She had seemed to be watching over rather than guarding him, evident in small gestures and a quiet word here and there. His hands were still shaking when she passed him the plate of fruit, he couldn't seem to get them to stop. Maybe he'd stay this way until someone put him out of his misery. Something deep within recoiled at the thought. He was still vying for life.
Murphy took the plate but set it aside after a second or two. All he tasted was blood but it was something else that was now making him nauseous. Shock? Exhaustion? Who knew what is was? Either way, he couldn't eat. As Octavia spoke up now they were alone, as far as he could tell, Murphy took a moment to focus on her. He was struggling to see things with the usual clarity, with one eye swollen shut entirely, but he fixed his weary gaze on Octavia as she offered help. Odd in itself, the kindness she showed, but needed. He shook his head at the suggestion of blankets. Sure he was shivering but he was warm, uncomfortably so. "Just water... " He swallowed thickly following the request, as if the mention reminded him how parched he still was despite having already been given some earlier, his voice strained. "... You know your brother will kill us if you stay in here... me anyway."

They were certainly distracting. The girl and the car. She was going a little over the top in some ways, at least right now, but something about her suited the car. A coolness maybe? Too bad he couldn't see enough of that at the moment. He could however, see a good amount of her cleavage as she leaned forward. Anyone would have looked, it was like a lighthouse beam when girls did that, drew gazes right to it. Everybody who could see looked. He had no complaints, but it was clear to him she knew exactly what she was doing. Why? That was another matter.
Again, Murphy's attention wandered to the car as the newcomer opened up the wager, pushing from his lean to step around her and towards the impala, throwing a grin the girl's way as he spoke up. "You sure you want to lose this?" He looked over the car, strolling his way around it while discreetly seeking out any trace of dings and dents that might give away its past. He couldn't find any, so either this was a colossal coincidence - how many cars like this could there be rolling around out there? - or it was the same one he'd wrecked. Which sparked another curiosity. Who the hell was this girl and how did she get this car? Whatever. He'd take it from her anyway. Still, he dug a little deeper with a keen eye on her reaction. "Did you boost this or something?

Great. He had to choose the exact same hallway as Bellamy. The very last person he wanted to see right now, maybe ever. He couldn't help wonder as to the whereabouts of the woman the other male had led away, although not enough to actually investigate. He didn't give a damn, right? Or so he was telling himself. He'd rather have avoided any interaction at all, but they were quickly nearing each other and there was no way Murphy was going to back up and take a detour. He'd merely keep walking and pass by as if the other were invisible. As if he didn't matter, even if Murphy was trying to convince himself that was true. Still working to stamp out any stubborn flame that flickered for Bellamy.
The question stopped him in his tracks. Seriously? He was going with this? After he'd sauntered off with that woman who was now... who knew where? There was a passing temptation to snap a comment about how quick Bellamy had been, but that would be too close to caring. Murphy had no intention of getting in any relationship, never mind in the middle of someone else's, but Bellamy's accusation only encouraged Murphy to make him believe he would.
A look of disbelief gave way to a sly grin as he offered an answer. "No, I'm not done. Me and Bryan? We're going to get frisky later while Miller's not looking." A moment longer to close the comment with a smirk and Murphy moved to step around the other male aiming to continue on along the hallway.

Bryan was easing somewhat now, engaged in talking about Miller with such genuine fondness, he appeared to be forgetting that it was odd Murphy had suddenly taken an interest. Although it had been feigned interest at first, he was now actually taking a little of it in, a few comments here and there. They sounded happy. Apparently, people could be. Still, for how long? Maybe one day Bryan would find Miller consorting with a giggling irritation too, and that would be the end of it.
No, that was ridiculous, it was hardly the same thing. Nowhere near. Those two were in a so-called committed relationship as far as Murphy could tell. That would never happen for him and what a relief. No concerns about anybody getting under his skin if he just kept his distance. Maybe he'd thought Bellamy was sneaking his way in for a moment there, but Murphy wasn't going to let that happen. As if to reassure himself on the matter, he cast his gaze across the Hangar, and any resolve he had deserted him.
Bellamy had left with the woman. Hand in hand even. There was a desperate attempt to claw back some kind of protection, barricade himself from this wave of emotion as it rose up threatening to sweep him away. Anything to shut down what felt like an onslaught. He felt sick. Bryan's voice drifted back in and Murphy snapped his attention back his way, the other asking if he was okay. His expression must have shifted, smile dropped so quickly that Bryan had reverted to his look of hesitant confusion. "... Good talk." With that he was up and out of there, leaving the Hangar to head along the halls silently cursing himself for feeling anything. Cursing Bellamy for existing. Cursing Bryan and Miller for what they had going. He was quick to pull up the walls, with every step attempting to drag himself from this... feeling. People could be happy together? What a joke.

It had been some time since Murphy had boosted the Impala and taken it for a spin. Literally a spin by the end if it, thanks to that idiot cop chasing him down. It had almost been a shame to wreck that car, it was so nice, although that had also added to the thrill of destroying it. There weren't many such well kept vehicles around here, may as well take it all the way and give it a good send off when he found one. Worth the risk, worth the chase, worth the jerk cop. Totally worth it and he'd have done it again if he could. Too bad he'd sent it to car heaven. Rest in pieces.
There was no shortage of impressive rides here too, though a lot of them were a little boring despite the various flamboyant paint jobs and pretentious extras that adorned so many. He could appreciate some of them but most looked damn ridiculous. It wasn't how a car looked, or even what was under the hood in some cases, it was what you did with it. Or failed to do. Such as failing to get very far, just like a car that had miserably lost an earlier race was doing as it went slowly sputtering by them.
Murphy gave a snort in amusement as it passed, now casting a glance over his shoulder to Mbege who was messing around with goodness knows what inside the car Murphy was leaning against. "Do you even know what you're doing?" The question was met with a mild insult from the other along with a reminder not to underestimate him, prompting a grin from Murphy as he refocused on the next race, two cars already lining up. As long as Mbege didn't screw anything major up he could do what he liked. The car wasn't even Murphy's after all, he just needed it to go fast.
The car slowing to a stop next to him caught his gaze, a glint of light bouncing off the hood as it pulled in grabbing his attention. Wait... that looked a hell of a lot like an unscratched, undented, unwrecked version of the one he'd been chased down in. Uncanny. Murphy was already looking over the driver when Mbege, sliding up beside him, gave him a nudge in silent mention of her. Looked like she'd come to party. She garnered several glances from others, some admiring and some hinting jealousy, on her way to Murphy. Straight in, no small talk. He mirrored her smirk as he spoke up. "In that case... you got me." His gaze drifted past her to the car she'd rolled up in. "Is that yours? Or yours for now?"

Bryan was thankfully chatting to him quite politely. Friendly despite a touch of confusion in his expression. It was understandable considering Murphy had barely spoken to him before, and any past conversations had been trivial and brief. Murphy was glad of this amiable reaction, although he wasn't sure where to start with flirting, especially since the other was talking about their boyfriend. Instead he made sure he was sat close, attentive, gaze occasionally drifting to Bryan's mouth as he spoke, and all along not quite sure why. The joy of aggravation. He reasserted that's all this was without delving into reasons.
At this stage, he was merely urging more from Bryan about Miller, the other's features lighting up a little more with each word while Murphy listened. Until a loud giggle from Bellamy's direction had him automatically glancing over, up to which point he'd managed to avoid paying any heed to Bellamy and the woman. Bryan's voice faded a moment or two as Murphy lost track of what he was saying, focusing a little longer than he wanted on Bellamy's giggling companion with a sudden potent loathing. It was still a mere few seconds before he turned his attention once again to Bryan, easing a fraction closer with a grin, encouraging more conversation.
Murphy couldn't take it in now, his thoughts centered on making a pass of some kind, figuring he needed to make the other laugh as if he was in competition with the one person he didn't want to think about right now. Only he was. He couldn't stop. And the more he thought of him the more restless he became for reprisal. It came with a lean even closer to Bryan, almost shoulder to shoulder as if conspiring. Who cared what Bellamy Blake was doing?

The growly noise which escaped Roma was hilarious, coaxing a broad grin now in satisfaction that he'd provoked it. Now Murphy waited for some kind of retaliation. He guessed she might have it in her to give him in the very a least slap, but as far as he knew she was less scrappy and all mouth. He'd heard enough of her... quite the set of vocal cords. If she wasn't what seemed to be a current favorite of Bellamy's, Murphy might have offered a more scathing remark on her loose ways, but there was still time.
It wasn't that he particularly cared about her sex life, or the rumors that she got around, but rather her defiant attitude, even if some distant part of him might have almost admired it. If she wasn't so annoying. These insults rolled off him as he suspected his might have when spoken to her, it was probably akin to something they'd both heard before. Murphy wasn't about to leave it at that and let her wander off back to bed, the delinquent following only to slide in front of Roma again, blocking her path. "Both work just fine actually..." As he spoke, he raised his hand with a brisk wave close to her face, though only in hopes of prompting a flinch. More to irritate than anything else. With a glance cast in the direction of Bellamy's tent after her final comment, he fixed his attention on her once more. "Great, so I guess that means your back works just fine. You can help fortify the wall with everybody else. You think you get a free pass because you're banging Bellamy? See how long that lasts... "

Murphy was reluctant to have much hope in anything. It was no melancholy way of viewing the world, more realistic. Nothing lasted. It was better and easier to expect the worst, or at least something mediocre, otherwise he'd be setting himself up for the inevitable disappointment. However, lately he'd found himself swaying towards optimism, if only brief flickers of it. Whatever he had going on with Bellamy was serving as a source of both pleasure and irritation, but he was handling it. Murphy would make sure it was insignificant, nothing wrong with a little fun on the way, as long as he kept his distance in any other way than physical.
It was turning out to be harder than envisioned, with attachment somehow beginning to weave its way in as he found himself thinking of Bellamy in more than just the 'active' sense. Perhaps he already had before he acknowledged the thought, and even now he was still attempting to burn the idea from his mind. That too was failing. A few steps into the Hangar and his gaze was soon drawn to Bellamy before snapping to the woman vying for his attention. A tilt of her head, a lean towards, and so close. And there was Bellamy, smiling and chatting away.
Murphy hinted a sneer at the feeling that rolled over him, though he didn't dare put a definition to it. He'd been annoyed by Bellamy Blake plenty of times, this was nothing. So much nothing that he made sure to walk right by the two of them without so much as a glance, heading further into the Hangar. With a distinct need to antagonize, he chose to sit next to Bryan who was seated alone for now. The other looked up to offer a somewhat uncertain smile and Murphy forced a more convincing one right back, striking up a conversation. A question about Miller.

Smart ass. He caught her additional comment as he slowed to a halt in front of her. Some of the others talked back in a similar way but most of them did it a little less brazenly. Still, it was almost a pleasure when they didn't. It gave him a little extra push to react, as if he needed it. Murphy let her take her long sip, an unimpressed glare shifting to a smirk as he watched. Thought she was royalty now because she stepped out of the right tent?
The sip and stare was more or less a challenge, and he had to assert his authority after all. Murphy responded while Roma still held the cup to her lips, swiftly raising his hand to knock the bottom of it upward to spill the remaining contents in her direction. "There, you got something wet. This water's for people who actually do some real work around here." With a step closer, he offered a more mocking grin, gaze fixed on her. "Not just the horizontal kind."

He might not have even heard the door opening if someone hadn't burst through it so abruptly. Even so, the first thing Murphy did was freeze where he was, still leaning over Bellamy, apart from a swift turn of his head to see who it was that had interrupted at the most inopportune moment. He had barely focused on Octavia before she spoke up to greet Bellamy, Murphy now catching the rapid twist of mood evident in her features. The sound she made almost had him chuckling in response, had it not been for him taking a moment to glance down at himself to make sure he wasn't exposed. Bellamy? Whatever. But Murphy didn't feel like giving Octavia Blake an unexpected view of his own 'belongings'.
Thankfully, though riding low, his pants were still high enough, with Murphy pulling them higher to fasten as he slowly straightened up. A little rude that Bellamy's sister should barge in on them and demand answers. He was about to tell her as much, but her desperate banging on the door had him simply staring in silent amusement.
Murphy had forgotten all about the lock down, or at least that it was so soon. Now what? Despite Octavia's flailing at the door, he half expected her to spin and dive at him. Murphy had seen her once outside practicing some kind of swordplay with that Grounder boyfriend of hers and he had to admit, she was pretty good. As long as she didn't pull a blade from her braids and swing it at him, he could probably take what she could give. Regardless, she had stuck by the door, so Murphy shifted his attention to Bellamy, still beneath him, amusement lingering. "Maybe if we keep real still, she'll go away."

Murphy scoffed at the mention of Wells. The guy was getting a rough time down here from many of the delinquents, Murphy included. That happens when you're the son of the guy who had dropped them here with nothing. The son of the executor of many of their parents. The son of the chancellor most everyone hated. Not only that, Wells had actually tried to reason with them, admonish their behavior, even though he was stuck down here with them. Way to make friends. Murphy didn't care, he was hoping he'd get another chance to hit the 'Chancellor of Earth'.
Murphy spared a fleeting thought for how Bellamy would have handled the panther, had Wells not swiped the gun from him, along with how he might have fared himself. Well, now he'd never know without any more bullets. All the more reason to get better with a knife or whatever else they could use. He was keen on the small blade though. How it felt in his hand, the fact he'd shaped it himself, carved his initials on it. Something of his own when they had barely a thing down here.
The comment about potentially failing the hunt only made him more determined, but he smirked at the added mention of the other delinquents. "Maybe if they got off their asses, they'd have something else to eat." It wasn't necessarily true, there was only so much to be gathered to satisfy so many. The need to hunt for their food was clear. Still, he didn't really want to be the one to provide for them, and if not for the fact Bellamy had given him the opportunity to help him run the camp, he might have fed himself with what he could find and told them all to go to hell... but he was part of something for now. He quickened his step a little and moved past Bellamy, slowing again once he was ahead. "I'll bring them something to shut them up."

It made sense, he thought. Jaha hadn't exactly been agreeable when it came to going along with the events at the Arker camp back then. It had been partly why the chancellor had come to John, apparently seeing someone of like mind on the matter. They did share a common view of the alliance with the Grounders. So it was no surprise the camp had been renamed. Murphy wondered if Jaha had made it back there with Otan and whether he'd been annoyed at the change. He doubted it. Jaha had probably just rambled something about it not mattering in the City of Light. No pain, no hate, no envy about name changes. Some crap like that. "Yeah well, he was on his way back so maybe it's something else now." Camp Crazy.
Murphy threw a glance behind them once again, before his attention settled on Clarke a few moments as she continued. It was odd that Clarke had left but what did he know? Things change and he was no stranger to that fact. None of them were really. Although the idea of Clarke, of all people, not being welcome was bizarre. Her further explanation only opened up more questions. "What happened at Mount Weather? I thought you were all taking along your pet Grounder army to storm the place."

While some of the delinquents got on with whatever they were instructed to do, others needed a push to get going. Some, maybe even a punch. As long as the job got done, whatever it might be. Murphy could certainly see the logic in securing the area around the dropship, their little camp. It needed to be done, but more than that he enjoyed the position he was in for the moment. Aligned with somebody who seemed like they could handle the rest of the group, and Murphy was more than happy to do it with him. Help run things, Bellamy had said. Murphy would rather that than be stuck at the bottom of the pile. That wasn't going to happen.
There were others among them who just wouldn't pull their weight, wouldn't listen to orders and were content to laze around however they wanted. It was to be expected among a group of teenage criminals, but that didn't mean they could get away with it. One such slacker now passed him by. Roma. One of Bellamy's playthings. At least, that was as much as Murphy thought of her. "Hey, where do you think you're going?"

Any knowledge of a connection between them was still being kept quiet, as far as Murphy knew. Either that or nobody had dared to make a comment about it around him, and he hadn't mentioned it at all. Who would he tell? It was nobody's business anyway, what he and Bellamy might get up to in private. In honesty, it hadn't all been in private but even so, nobody had noticed. Not that they had gotten this extreme anywhere other than in Bellamy's room. As budding as their unofficial 'relationship' was anyway, the cuffs were still something new. With Bellamy on the guard he was equipped with several weapons and means of restraint, and Murphy had threatened a few times to use them on him. Occasionally in annoyance but mostly suggestively, though he hadn't gone through with it either way.
Until now, flashing a smug grin as he snapped the second cuff closed around Bellamy's wrist, the other's arms now stretched above him and secured to the metal post of his bed. "You think this counts as unsanctioned use of Ark property?" Murphy huffed in amusement as he pushed himself up to stand, letting his fingers trail along Bellamy's bare chest and down to his hip, equally exposed now the lower half of the other's clothing were bunched around his ankles. How tempting it was to leave Bellamy there, or worse, with the door open. The urge was sunk by the appeal of the other more tantalizing things on offer.
He rummaged through Bellamy's guard gear to retrieve a couple of cable ties, pondering on a possible use for a moment or two, before swiftly climbing to sit on and pin the other's legs, facing away as he went about securing his ankles to the bottom of the bed. Okay, it was probably overkill, but he was swept up in the momentum of teasing and taunting. Perhaps with a slight desire to actually provoke Bellamy's anger. Murphy adjusted once he was done, turning to face the other as he edged up just a little higher to sit astride, knees either side of Bellamy's. His own shirt had been removed prior to him managing to get the older male into such a compromising position, but his pants remained, though unfastened and hanging a little lower. It was with that same smug grin still lingering that Murphy now wasted no time, leaning down with a slow trail of his tongue along the underside of Bellamy's member.
