There was finally relative peace among the Sky People and Trikru -- along with the Azgeda as well. It seemed that most tensions were resolved for the time being and each clan could enjoy the ease of peace. Furthermore, the groups were working together, engaging in trade of not only resources, but knowledge. And knowledge was more important than anything else. Which brought Nyko to where he was currently position. He was standing at the entrance of the village in preperation of who was coming.
A teacher from the Sky People was going to be remaining with them for some time. Nyko had offered his home as the man's shelter. Despite the few children they had currently housed there, they of course had room for this Sky Person. Besides, not everyone was entirely comfortable with them. This village in particular. They had lost many that day that will never be forgotten. Nyko's son was among them. But the healer did not blame the entire group of Sky People. It was a single man's fault. Perhaps two -- blame rested against the man who failed to stop him.
But alas, today was not about the tragic past. But more about what seemed to be a promising future. As he saw a man approaching, Nyko's eyes fixated on him, quickly taking in what he could immediately learn from the man's gait and overall appearance. While Nyko's primary job was a Healer and he was often called out of the village, with the lack of war, he had some time here that would be spent with the arriving visitor. With their leader not here, this duty also fell upon him. "I am Nyko," he introduced, his voice steady and strong. Not as stern as most other warriors, but nor was it overly soft. "Welcome." He was curious to learn more of the teachings the man brought with him, but that was all in due time.

Dealing with politics – real life politics – was not Brendans strong suit. He didn’t care for them. He cared for people, for the humanity in them, for the mistakes they could learn from in history and it seemed like not a lot of learning was done these days. Nobody seemed to acknowledged the stress everybody had been under, nobody acknowledged the potential for future peace in what they had. He was surprised how easy it was however to get them to agree for him to come to the Grounder village and live there for a while. It might not be what they thought, but one day they would understand the necessity of all of this.
Brendan smiled at the man awaiting him. He had gotten a description of several people of importance in the grounder village and so his assumption was easily proved now that he knew this was Nyko, the healer of the people, a fair man, who would do a lot for others. Brendan admired people of quiet power like Nyko presented himself to be. He would normally hold out his hand to shake it, instead he bowed slightly, wanting to openly portray the proper respect before the healer. After all he had a good reason to hate him and his people, yet he welcomed him and apparently understood his desire to do this.
“I’m Brendan. Thank you for welcoming me. And for agreeing to this as well. I hope you can see why I consider this a great opportunity and very important for both of our people.”
