.:Physical Appearance:. Nyko has a strong build, that of a warrior even if it not his foremost duty. He has blue eys, and tanned skin that is covered with blue colored tattoos. His hair is brown and thick, falling well down his back and he also has a moustache and long beard. His attire is that of a Grounder and he often carries a few weapons as well as healing tools everywhere he goes.

.:Personality:. Nyko is strong and kind hearted, which is reflected in the way he deals with people. He is one of the few Grounders who were initially showing a more positive attitude toward the Sky People -- mainly because of Lincoln. He is a warrior, but his primary duty is a healer and for that, he does not engage in as much violence though is able and willing to defend himself and those around him should it come to that. He is a man of great wisdom -- highly intelligent, and is willing to listen rather than show agression (this is evident in how he dealt with the situation at his village with Finn -- he was trying to calm others and keep the situation under control). He does not like to provoke others into violence, and often speaks to others with respect, even if his words are straight forward. He is very caring and loyal toward his people, but his loyalty is also displayed toward his family and close friends.

.:History:. Nyko was born on Earth and had a humble upbringing. He was, and is, part of the Trikru (Woods Clan). He was part of a loving family, and at the apprporiate age, starting training to become a warrior. When he married the woman who loved, and one who loved him, when he was a little over twenty. She, like him, was greaty nurturing, caring and loving. The two of them were eager to start their life together. They both wished for children of their own but as the years passed it was evident that this was not becoming possible. They went to speak to the Healer at the time and they were informed that his wife could not conceive. This dedicated the couple and with all their love to share, they still wanted to give it to those in need. This also changed Nyko's priorities. He began to learn about herbs, deciding to become a healer so that he could find a way to help his wife, knowing that this devastated her.

During this time, him and his wife decided to find a way to care for childern that were not their own. They took in orphans, raising them as their own until they were able to start their own lives. They also offered a home for those who's parents were off in battle, or who's families struggled. They did not however house those who were a stain on their bloodline, not wanting to endanger the lives of others. As nurturing as they were as parents -- even adoptive ones -- they were still loyal to their culture.

Eventually, Nyko found the answer he was searching for, by this time, becoming a respected and strong healer. His wife was with child. A miracle child. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy whom they named Artigas. While they cared for all the other children, this boy was their own. Their one and only son. The only child they would ever have . . . and the one they had lost.
