the grounders SHOULD WORRY ABOUT US The nearby woods were clear, but that didn't mean that Bellamy believed they were in the clear. The Grounders would be just waiting to strike; waiting until they had their guard down. But the older Blake sibling was not about to let that happen. He eventualy returned to where they were keeping the prisoner, seeing that she was now conscious and struggling against the ropes. Bellamy looked her over. There were a lot of questions he could ask but only a few he needed to ask her. "You're either really stupid for coming here by yourself. And if that's not the case, then you're gonna tell me how many people came with you." How many were scattered around. Why had she even come if not for some sort of distraction for an ambush?
She had found their camp, and she could easily gather intel about them and it -- which she already most probably had. She knew the layout, their defenses, the drop ship -- which was the securest form of shelter. "So start talking." While torturing a woman wasn't exactly something he often partook in -- or would take great pride in partaking in . . . he needed answers from her. But right now, she only posed as a threat if they let her go. So long as she was in here, they could keep what she knew guarded. And if she was of any value, then they could hold her hostage against the other Grounders.

Echo was pulling on the ropes--or whatever they were--until she saw HIM enter. Then she grew still and stared at him--right int he fact at him. She wasn't going to back down from this. You were never the one who blinked first. You never left someone behind if you could fight to save them. death before dishonor. Blood for blood. Life for life. She'd die before showing weakness int he mist of this little bitty children playing at being warriors--they didn't even have order. Her people would have deferred to the leader--these had swarmed and attacked with disorder.
He demanded she talk, and Echo decided to give him what he wanted. "You know nothing!" She told him in the language of her people, before spitting at him. "If you think I will betray my people to a over grown boy who has sheep for an army then you will be the first I kill when I get free from your chair!" Her shoulders moved forward as she spoke, leading in toward him with no fear. She wasn't afraid to try to imitate them from where she was. They had the upper hand, but she was a warrior of the Ice Nation! They were but children playing at being fighters!
Leaning back in the chair she watched him, watching how he moved, and tried to read into it. She could learn a lot by watching people--and if she had to be here she was going to learn a lot.

the grounders SHOULD WORRY ABOUT US She started spouting off in some gibberish language that just annoyed Bellamy. Though he showed no sign of this emotion. He remained stoic, staring at her, clearly not understanding a word. Though despite his lack of comprehension, he could easily pick up on her tone and body language that she wasn't giving him answers, and that whatever she was saying . . . sure as hell wasn't anything less than hostile.
"Shut up," he told her, his tone leveled. He didn't need to yell or shout. He just bluntly stated the phrase. If she didn't understand English, she could still pick up on the tone . . . just like he was doing with her. "Either don't talk or answer my questions in English. I don't give a shit about hearing your own language." To him, it was gibberish. Native et her people, but total gibberish to him. He wasn't even going to make the effort to learn it. But if this was the only way that she could verbally express herself . . . well, her capture was going to be more about keeping their camp protected rather than extracting information from her.

Really? Talk and then shut up? These people of the sky were fools! No wonder there was so few of them! There was another moan from above, and Echo looked up there for a moment, wondering who they had. Was it someone she knew? Was it one of them that was too weak to live here? "You are not fit to live here. You are weak, and weakness must be killed out---or is that way your people sent you here? To bleed out the weak." She taunted, knowing he did not understand. Her tone this time dark, and promising of blood.
She jerked at bonds, and then looked down at them, before looking back. "Do your worst, because even your worst is but play to my people." She wasn't going to speak his language to him. She didn't want him to know she spoke the old language. She wanted them talking freely around her, so she could learn what they didn't want her to know.

the grounders SHOULD WORRY ABOUT US She was speaking gibberish again. He wondered if she was doing to to provoke him, or saying things to him that she felt the need to say . . . clearly for herself. Since they both knew he didn't understand what the hell she was actually saying. He rolled his eyes at the useless talk, and saw her try to jerk free from the bindings. "Go ahead. Try again." Now he was taunting her, his words sarcastic. He took a few steps toward her, but not close enough -- hardly underestimating her. For all he knew, she could head butt him if he got too close.
"You can keep wasting our time, or doing something to make this a lot easier on you." He didn't plan on tortburing her, or beating it out of her. It was pointless if she didn't even speak the language. While he hadn't ruled it out, she wasn't saying anything to show otherwise. There was still the possibility that she understood him perfectly fine . . . but it was not at all being reflected in this conversation. "Don't be an idiot. You're not in control here." As if to make a point, he pulled her own blade from between his belt and pants, holding it out in front of her. daring her to try and get it. With that, he took a couple steps back, to just watch her, seeing how she would react as that would be telling enough.

She didn't know his tone, but she knew his words. They made sense but his tone wasn't one she knew. It was taunting but mocking all in one. Echo wasn't going to give it much thought right now as she was waiting for things to get good. She wanted them to think she couldn't speak their language--she just had to hold out long enough. THEN the tone of the room changed.
He pulled the blade. He pointed it at her. She would have frozen, and began to wonder what he was doing but he backed up. Weakness. She'd had used it on him. Echo grew still, her faced tilted slightly down, while her eyes up and on him. Her breathing slow and measured to make sure it gave no signs of her heart breaking faster at the weapon. "I dare you," She told him, making her tone dark and angry. Each word drawn out slightly, as she spoke slow and clear in her own language. At her next words, her face twisted slightly as disgust, hate, and anger pushed her features together slightly. "Coward." She wanted to use that one in his language--even savored the thought of him standing there bold and prideful and her words pushing him into rage. She almost did it, but Echo had self control and she could wait out the king of the children--king of the sheep. Sheep king.
