Clarke had spent time with the Grounders, but eventually she could not take them anymore. She could not take being treated and worshipped like she did something she never did in the way she did. So eventually she left and just in time. Clarke found a cave not long after. It was wonderfully hidden by bushes and plants, so you had to happen to stumble upon it to find the entrance to it. Inside it was not dissimilar to Lincolns cave. It was a sufficient place to stay over the winter for Clarke, so she hurried to make a home for herself down there. She got a few supplies from the drop ship: a water tank, blankets, a bedroll, tools, fabric and ropes. Clarke didn’t bother with decorating at first. She just set up the bedroll and blankets before she went out, day for day, to collect firewood.
By now Clarke had an impressive stack of wood assembled at the entrance, narrowing the entrance further, so only one person could come in at a time. A piece of parachute fabric covered the entrance further, space above the building allowed smoke and the likes outside. Clarke also had a good about of dried plants, smoked meet and the likes. By now she also had fur blankets. Her cave was the perfect place for her to stay during the winter. She had just made a last dash to the bunker, to get drawing material and a book. Now Clarke was finally getting to decorating a bit. She made her bed a bit more homely, surrounding it by more fabric, so she might forget it was a cave she lived in now. She finished the stone and wood structure to hide the food from view and placed the full water tank right next to it. She placed the plates and knives away, along with the bones. A new set of meat was hanging over another fire to smoke it, while she sat on the floor in front of the fire, using the animals fat and oil and glasses to make oil lamps. Clarke was prepared for winter as she noticed the first snowflakes outside, through an opening in the fabric. Now it would be tested how prepared she was. She could always just fashion herself clothes from the fur she had and return to a Grounder village or Camp Jaha.
