Roan tell the wolves i'm home
A year ago a group of clueless kids landed on the ground from the sky and began a war with Azgeda. A few months after they landed the whole space ship landed with hundreds of them. After a long fight, they were working towards peace now. Peace wasn't something that Azgeda believed in, but they knew some wars wouldn't be won without the cost being too great. Could they take Skaikru? Yes but it would cost them more men then it would be worth. It would make Azgeda weak. So in effort to stay strong they would accept the bonding of two nations. One that would would make them stronger then any of the other nations near by. The commander's collation wouldn't be able to come into Azgeda now, and Azgeda would be free.
Roan's mother was dangerous, and while she might have a plan to still win a war with Skaikru, Roan would hold honor in the promises made. He was not going to be his mother when he was a ruler, he would be powerful without losing his honor. Honor was something deathly important to his people and his mother had long since forgotten it. She valued power over honor. It made her feared, and strong.
One such promise was bonding through a union to connect the two nations. Nia didn't like this part but defying the tradition would loose her some of the respect of the people, and after the failure to take Skaikru, she needed to be seen as in control now more then ever. Which brought Roan to the gates of Skaikru this morning, as he arrived to pick up his soon to be wife. The future princess of Azgeda.

Being on the ground had its fair share of problems for them. They were practically invading and mostly because they could not longer survive in space. And being on the ground had plenty of difficulties, especially with the cultures of the grounders, that seemed to be different in and around themselves. Minding those was hard in itself. But it seemed like they had finally found a way to some semblance of peace: By aligning themselves to a strong grounder clan, and strengthening them through their technology and knowledge and vice versa. At first there was a discussion on who would be the one to link their people to the grounder clan, but eventually, Clarkes arguments prevailed. She was, as Abbys daughter and daughter of Jahas best friend the one who would logically be seen as closest to a princess as it would get and the other delinquents did call her that, too, anyway. She wouldn't mind. She didn't mind doing what she had to do for her people. There were other advantages, too. They had a limited genetic pool on the ark, mixing that up would be very good for the overall survival of the human race and so she would be the first to go into a union with the other clan, hopefully not the only one.
Clarke laughed as several people fuzzed around her dress - a thrown together dress - make up and hair. She found it ridiculous. They didn't know what Azgedas customs were and they had none of their own for this thing. But they tried to make her look as pretty as they could with what they had - which was not much - and as desirable. Clarke noticed that they had gone for a look that would have served as very attractive once upon a time: Highlighting her hips and breasts. She knew, through history class, that there was once a time where her looks were very, very desirable, broad hips and large breasts, perfect for childbearing. Of course, they didn't even know if that was the case now. In any case, she volunteered and she stood by it, hoping to form a very successful bond with Azgeda, for her people and, well Azgeda, who would become her people eventually.
"They are here." A guard told them and so Clarke finally had a reason to shoo everyone off and go out. The man she saw was tall, muscular and he held himself very regal, every part of him screamed self-assured, Prince even. So that was probably her husband to be. "Welcome." She said as she walked over to him. "I am Clarke."

Roan tell the wolves i'm home
They dressed her up and Roan paused walking as she came closer. While she didn't look like one of them, it was close. While mother might have meant this as a way of getting past their guards, he was here to build a unit of power. The might of ice nation, and the steal of the sky people. They could be unstoppable. So he had come looking for a bride that would seal the bond between the two people.
He had not expected this. "Clarke," he greeted, with a small nod. "I am Roan, Prince of Azgeda." He spoke in English, knowing they didn't know their language yet. He would ask her to learn it. They all would need to learn it in order to keep alive here. Just as he needed to learn their ways. Reaching for her hand he took it and held it up so his people could see that she was the one they were here for. Then turning to her he spoke again. "They told you what was expected?" That she would marry him, become a princess of his people, and join him in the capital city of Ice Nation.
