Everyone was training, yet Etain was sitting on the sidelines, watching. She had already been scolded once by another warrior for not participating, but she didn't even know where to begin. Eventually, she had grown distracted watching a particular warrior in action. Having heard the whispers surrounding her arrival, she was from another clan. And she held strong skills in combat. Ones that weren't exactly the same style as her clan. Etain found this intriguing. If she could learn how to fight like that . . . maybe she could have a certain edge to her. She had gotten a late start in the army, and was not as strong as the others in combat. She couldn't admit that, but she knew it every time she was defeated. And she hated being beat. She wanted to be strong.
Much stronger than she was. Perhaps this woman could teach her. She had been staring at her for quite some time, having lost track of whether it was minutes or hours. Lacking any idea as to how the confidence finally built in her, Etain rose to her feet and made her way over the woman. She was nervous, but showed no sign of it. Her English was not great, but she wanted to show that she could speak it . . . even if it was fragmented and weak. She continued to walk until she reached the warrior who had captured her interest. "I want learn," she stated, raising her chin in pride though she was somehow well aware that her grammar was off. "You teach me?" Both a question and a statement. She couldn't force her, but it was Etain's way of asking her.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS Isa was aware that she was being watched. It was an inevitable part of being one of the few from her clan in the Tree People's territory. One woman in particular caught her eye but she did not acknowledge the stares. She kept moving, practicing the moves that she had spent years learning. Even in times of calm, such as this one, Grounders knew better than to allow themselves to grow weak.
Only when the woman approached her did she stop. She lowered her weapon to her side and took in the prideful, confident woman who spoke in English not much better than a child's.
"I'll consider it," She replied as she stalked around the woman once, taking in her posture and the build of the woman. The stranger's education had not been completed and Isa wondered at that, but did not question her. What was she to gain from teaching the woman her techniques?
"Prove to me you'll be worth my time." Isa cast her blade aside and shifted into a battle-ready stance as she raised her fists. Then she waited for the other woman to strike.
