Finn is a well-liked young man, a good student and a generous person, but has not always been such. As a child he was wild and rebellious; he had a problem with authority figures, lashing out at them, and did stupid things for the thrill of it, risking his safety and well being. His schooling suffered, as did his relationship with his parents and friends when he begun handing with the wrong crowd.
To curb his dangerous behavior his father had him enrolled in a Cub Scout program when he was twelve. This seemed to do the trick. With an outlet for his lust for adventure and freedom Finn's behavior improved, along with his relationship and schooling. He took to the program like a fish to water. Even years after his initial enrollment he is still with the program, but as a scout leader.
Finn greatly enjoys teaching the younger generations how to navigate and survive the wilderness. But he isn't a model citizen all the time. When he isn't at school or with the younger cub scouts, he likes to cause mischief with his friends.
