whatever THE HELL WE WANT Just before he would have entered her tent, she stepped out. She clearly seemed to be going somewhere, but offered him entrance, and Bellamy accepted. He wasn't one to take long in such conversations, and her posture and stance appeared to show that she was on her way elsewhere. "I just came to check on you. To see how you were doing," he told her. He knew taking a life was not easy. He had shot Jaha -- believing he had killed him -- and the act had changed him. He had done it to protect Octavia, to get passage on the drop ship . . . but that didn't mean he hadn't seen the image of the man haunt him.
He saw all those who's lives he was responsible for taking. The 300 plus people on the Ark who had given their lives to conserve oxygen . . . all dead because he had pulled out the radio. So yes. He knew the difficulty of dealing with killing someone. At the same time, many of the delinquents who were unfamiliar with that, were forced to become so. They were at war with the Grounders here. They needed to fight, and during said war and the battles within it . . . there would be undoubtedly be casualties. They were warriors. And now, Annika had killed her first opponent. "It gets easier. Dealing with it I mean," he added on assurance. She didn't have to say it. He knew that it was a difficult thing to deal with.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved He was quick to accepted the entrance to her tent. She was behind him, chewing on her bottom lip. She looked at his back and let out a huge sigh. When he turned and spoke to her, she just nodded. Never been better! She said, feigning cheerfulness. It was an obvious lie. Look. I'm sorry for shutting down on you. She said, making a half frown yet it was crooked in an almost comical way. But anyone could tell that she was tense. She didn't want to talk about it. It was life and there were things that you had to do to survive. If only the grounder hadn't been such a dumbass he would be alive and she wouldn't be...whatever it was she was at the moment.
She stared at him for a moment. And those words that he said made her actually laugh out loud. It was almost sarcastic yet it wasn't. She was entirely amused right now for some unknown reason. You know. It's actually funny that they thought that i could kill someone. Especial those someones being my parents. Hell, I can't even cope with it being a fucking grounder that was trying to care about someone who i actually like in this hell hole. She said, raking her hands through her hair once again. It's proved to become a new habit now that they were gone. She had usually kept her hair up when she worked but now she just didn't give a damn. At this rate, she was going to break down from something. And the end result wasn't going to be very pretty.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT She answered with sarcasm, and then apologized for shutting down. "You don't need to apologize," he assured her. Her reaction was quite normal for anyone who had taken a life for the first time. Hell, when Bellamy had shot Jaha -- having thought he'd killed him -- he'd felt the same shock. But he didn't have time to be frozen by it. His time to get on the drop ship was limited. "I get it," he added on as further reassurance. He listened to her explain her say that she thought it funny others believed her capable of killing her parents. So she was set up it would seem; guilty of a crime that she'd not committed.
"I'll take that as a compliment," he said a bit sarcastically though in humor when she spoke of being unable to cope with killing someone who had threatened someone she actually liked. "This place has made us do all sorts of things we never thought we were capable of," he began to say. "You killed a Grounder today. It was the first, but may not be the last." He was just being realistic, that she may find herself in a situation where she'd be forced to defend herself -- or someone else -- and require to kill her opponent. "In doing so, you saved my life and yours. Just focus on that." He had told her similar words immediately after she'd stabbed him . . . but now, she was a little more responsive so he felt the need to remind her again of it. He didn't want her to feel like she was alone here. There were others who understood what she was going through. Hell, even he understood.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She watched him with a careful gaze. He said she didn't need to apologize? She had shut down, if another grounder had been there, they both would've been easy pickings. And she could have made things worse. God she hoped that she hadn't made things worse. That would make her day just even better. When he said he understood, she just nodded. It seemed he would seeing as he had shot the chancller and all. You know, thats something that you dont exactly get over yea?
She smiled when he got sarcastic. She hadn't meant it as a joke but she figured that it could go both ways. She nodded her head absent mindedly when he talked of this place making them doing things blah, blah. She never thought that she would have ever been a murderer. She had always thought that she'd get floated innocent but was proven guilty by a mishap. Though now she knew that she could survive if she ever needed skills like that or whatever. However, that didn't mean she wanted to kill another living being except maybe animals, but that was because she needed them to eat. She looked up at him curiously when he spoke his last words. She nodded at him, knowing he had said words kinda like that at the sight of the crime.
She moved forward and attempted to hug him. She had no clue how he would react to that but you know, just go with the flow. Thanks for helping me out...or being there. I really needed it...or need it. I have no clue at this point. She'd say against his shoulder if he let her.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT She was silent for the most part, but her response to his words were non verbal. She moved forward and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Bellamy remained still for a moment, before he reacted, slightly lifting his arms to return the embrace. It wasn't that it was unwelcome. Quite contrary to that in fact. He wanted to offer whatever comfort he could to those who were distressed. Sometimes, it could be acheived with a hug. Other times, it was more than that. She thanked him, for being there . . . saying that she needed it, perhaps still did with the change in tense.
"You don't have to go through this alone," he assured her. Surely she had people she could talk to here, friends at the very least. "If you need anything, I'm here." In the beginning, he had made it about every man for himself. But a sense of responsibility had formed. A feeling of intense protectiveness over the 100 -- or who was left of them. He wanted to be there for them, to ensure their safety and survival. And Annika was no exception to this. So yes. He wanted to offer his support however he could. Whether it be through words, or actions, or just putting the offer out there. He was here for the others; for his people.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved His reaction was slightly delayed. She had thought that she had gone over the line. She hoped she hadn't, but then he returned the embrace. Or whatever was closest to it. Finally, she pulled back and smiled at him, a plan forming in her head. She'd casually go over to the side, standing next to him almost. She'd make it look like she was comparing their heights almost.
If he hadn't figured out what was going on, he was sure about to. She then poked him in the side. It was her idea of having fun. Or making fun or whatever you wanted to call it. If anything, it would certainly ease up the mood....hopefully. She grinned up at him, the incident forgotten for the time being.
Crappy post sorry.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He hadn't the slightest clue as to what she was doing when she pulled away from the embrace and then positioned herself next to him. He watched her for a moment, taking it as his cue to leave. But instead, she then poked him on the side, a smile replacing her previous expression. He supposed it was a good thing, to see someone smile despite the circumstances. It was all they could do to survive: find the good however limited it was. Bellamy just eyed her, a slightly raised eyebrow.
"And apparently you need me to be your pin cushion," he said sarcastically, suppressing an eye roll. He supposed it was all in good humor. Truth be told, Bellamy's idea of fun mostly differed from the rest of the delinquents -- though he had managed to find one particular activity of fun they had in common. He knew there were reasons for that. Ones that he never need engage in a discussion about. He shook his head at her, about to take a step toward the door. "Keep up that attitude." Not so much the poking, but the ability to smile after having gone through something traumatic. With that, he casually flicked her on the top of her head before stepping out of the tent.
