Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: Bellamy Blake. WORDS: too lazy to count lol. NOTES: NOTES HERE Before she was to in his arm's, she'd listened to what he had to say. Thank you. She actually was proud of herself for that. It was usually a relatively hard aim to do without killing someone. She had killed plenty of apples that was most certainly fact. But, the practice had helped her in the end. She hadn't killed the grounder which as a fact she could live with. If she had, she most certainly would have felt incredibly guilty seeing as he hadn't done anything wrong.
She felt his arms clasp over her chest. She most certainly hadn't been in this type of position before, but it felt almost natural. She'd then lean her head back against his shoulder/neck as he spoke to her. She was actually starting to relax now. Between having her arms being rubbed and his voice reassuring her, she was getting warmer and more comfortable. When he said the lightning and thunder were adding to the mood in a jokingly tone, she gave out a small laugh. Ah, the mood needs some picking up hmm? She said, the smile still playing at her lips. She meant it as a kind of joke considering the fact of everything that had happened in the time span of an hour. She had had to turned her head to look up at him, considering she couldn't see nothing with the corner of her eye as due to their positioning.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He could feel her lean into him and her shoulders relax, a sign of her easing into the new position. She even let out a small laugh which was always good to hear. He didn't want her to remain panicked or worried, so hoped that he could provide her with whatever emotional ease he could, in addition to the physical one. His hand continued its movements over her side, as he leaned his head back against the cave wall.
"I think it's pretty complete now under the circumstances," he continued to joke. "A cave, thunder and lightening, pouring rain, and wet as hell . . . what more could you want?" He questoned both rhetorically and sarcastically. They had to make the best of ths though. He just hoped they wouldn't be stuck here over night but with the way the rain was coming down, he doubted it would stop before then.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: Bellamy Blake. WORDS: too lazy to count lol. NOTES: NOTES HERE She stared out the doorway in front of them. It wasn't even letting up with the rain. That made her internally groan. If it didn't, then they were gonna have to stay the night in the cave. That was something she would preferably try to avoid. Not that it was Bellamy it was just it was hard and cold and not to mention there were Grounders out there that could stroll in at any minute. Or that one could've brought some buddies with him. Oh how fun that would be. They could very well be dead by morning if that was the case. Hopefully her and Bell and had a statement enough that said that they didn't want any company.
She actually laughed as he continued the joke. Hmmm. I actually don't think that there is anything else someone would want maybe a bed or blankets. Maybe both? She had a huge Cheshire grin on her face at this point, but she raised her eyes also. Finally at complete ease, she shifted herself to where her whole side would be against his. That way, if she went to look at him, she'd see him and she could keep an eye on the door. She'd then look back up at him for a moment.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He gave a slight smirk at her suggestion for a bed and blankets. Ah yes. That would be most ideal. "Well, if you wanna get technical," he began to say, going along in her thoughts. "You could throw in some dry clothes, a fire, and something warm to drink." They had the bare minimum . . . which was wet clothes and each other. It would have to make do though. If there was one thing everyone had learned upon coming down here, it was that Earth was about survival. Bellamy wondered if the time would ever come where they could just live rather than survive . . . but they still had a long ways to go.
He no longer heard or felt her shivering, which he took as a good sign. Perhaps she was getting warmer after all. At least this was working, and the awkwardness she may had initially felt also seemed to decline with the ease in which they conversed. "If you wanna sleep, you can," he assured her. He could easily keep watch and if she was tired, he didn't want to force her to stay awake. He had no idea if she was tired or not, but either way, he wanted to put the offer out there. While one arm was behind her, he moved his other to wrap around her front. With her whole side against him, it was easier to hold her within both his arms, in the attempt to engulf her with any heat and warmth of his body.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: Bellamy Blake. WORDS: too lazy to count lol. NOTES: NOTES HERE When he spoke of all the warm and dry things, she nodded. That was most certainly what everyone here wanted most. She was tired of having to worry about everything. She wanted everything to be like how it was before the Ark just tossed them down here like lab rats. However this did have its benefits. When she had sat down in the forest and got wet, she had thought it was a big deal. Though this would fall under a bigger one. Though she didn't mind it. Not really. She was comfortable sitting in Bellamy's arms if anything. It was....different from having to be worry. She didn't feel the need to worry at the moment.
When he said she could sleep, she shook her head no. She didn't want to because she wouldn't be able to in the first place. Two, she wasn't tired, and three she was actually enjoying herself and she wanted to keep it that way. When his other arm went over her torso, she just slid her right one over his stomach and layed her head on his chest. She wasn't cold any more. Which was good in the first place. She just sat there and listened to his heart beat for a while.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy felt more than saw her shake her head, seeming to reject the idea of sleep. He wasn't sure if it was because she wasn't tired, or if she was too worried to sleep. He hoped it wasn't the latter. After all, she needed her rest, but she wasn't a child. Bellamy couldn't force her to sleep. He just hoped that the quiet air -- apart from the falling rain -- and the warmth he was attempting to provide her with would lull her into a slumber. Either way, he was going to stay awake and keep guard. He didn't say anything and wasn't sure if she had fallen asleep as the seconds turned into minutes, and the minutes into hours . . . and before he knew it, he started to see the sun rise in the air. But unfortunately, the rain had not eased.
He had hoped that with the new day, the rain would have stopped and they could easily make their way back to camp. But it was not going to prove to be a little more difficult. They couldn't stay here for the day. They were going to need food, and the others were going to grow concerned. They had to get back to the camp, as soon as possible. Bellamy slowly and carefully began to move his arms so that they were no longer holding her. Whether she had actually slept or not was unknown to him. He just hadn't made any conversation all night with the hope that she had fallen asleep, even if it was just for a little while. "Hey, time to get up," he told her as he made sure she was stable before he reached for his jacket. It was still a bit damp, but that didn't matter. It was just going to get soaked all over again the second they stepped out into that rain.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: Bellamy Blake. WORDS: too lazy to count lol. NOTES: NOTES HERE She had eventually been lulled to sleep. Even when she hadn't wanted to. The rain and warmth mixed with hearing other noises such as Bellamy's steady breathing had helped her. Now, when he was getting up, she groaned. She would then have her hand going over her eyes and she'd glare at him. But then she saw the rain at the door and she moaned. This was going to be just great. She was now dry and what did she have to expect in the next hour? More wetness. She moved and crawled over to her jacket and then just collapsed on it.
It's too early for a shower. She told him through her hand that was covering her face. If there was one thing that was now obvious, it was that Anna was not a morning person. But then again they needed to get back to camp. She then got up and put her knife back onto her belt. She looked over at him sleepily. That would be changing in the next five minutes for certain. Okay lets go! She said, trying to get herself hyped up for the adventure. She'd put her jacket over her shoulder and then look over at Bellamy.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy intently looked outside, taking notice of the rain and trying to figure out where their best path back to the camp would be. He glanced at Annika as she readied herself, saying that it was too early for a shower and soon after, expressing her preparedness to go. He adjusted his jacket for a moment, and slung his gun around his shoulder. Taking a deep breath he stepped back outside into the rain. It wasn't as heavy as it was yesterday, but it was still pouring enough. Bellamy didn't want to waste a second.
He began to go along the path in which they had come, figuring if he stayed on course, they would get back as quickly as they had come. He began to fall into a light jog, looking around him every so often to ensure that Annika was close by. He wouldn't go too far ahead of her, as the area was not safe. The Grounder, or any Grounders, could be out here, lurking about. Bellamy continued to move forward, the wet ground creating a thick layer of mud.
It was what concealed the upcoming trap, one that was left unnoticed to Bellamy until he stepped into it. It was a large hole in the ground, meant for trapping people in it until they were found by whoever set it. Bellamy, fortunately, only stepped on the side of it, but the awkward angle caused his ankle to snap, his quick reflexes allowing him to fall toward the side, not inside the hole. He quickly reached out for the support of a nearby tree as he grimaced in pain, tightly closing his eyes as he withheld any sound of the pain that coursed through his entire foot and leg.
Any loud sound would only attract whoever, or whatever was out there. He focused on taking deep breaths, and when he felt like he had regained himself, he tried to move, taking a small step forward. The action seemed almost impossible. He sharply inhaled, as he abruptly stopped walking again. "Damn it," he breathed out under his breath. He had twisted his foot, quite possibly could have broken it. And they still had a long ways to go. His misstep had exposed the trap, but he realized in the surge of pain, he had checked if Annika was alright. He turned to look at her, a single glance was all he needed to ensure she was fine, as he once again leaned against the tree, trying to determine what the next best course of action would be. Things just couldn't get any worse, could they.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved He was quick to get out and her the same to follow. She stepped out and then gasped from the instant cold. That was incredibly expected but unexpected. She'd pull her jacket tighter around her neck and then run to catch up to Bellamy. She watched where she put her feet, eventually getting into the jig of things. There was so much mud that she stumbled a lot. The mud would suck at her feet, making swoosh noises when she pulled it out. Once or twice she even stumbled. And then that was when she saw Bell fall into a trap.
She was quick to get to him, stumbling to get to him before he fell into the hole completely. However that didn't happen. He had grabbed a tree. By the time she reached him, her hands were covered in mud from where she had fallen and tried to get herself back up. She made sure to avoid the hole that he had fallen in and stopped next to him, doubled over on her knee's to catch her breath. She'd then look up at him, the rain running into her eyes annoying her.
Bellamy! Are you okay? She said, reaching for his arm without realizing it. If he died, she most certainly would too seeing as with the rain she had no clue where they were. But he seemed to while he was running. But then she heard a huge umph and she stumbled back straight into Bellamy, accidentally stepping on one of his feet. She turned to see the grounder they had ran off in front of them. He had a smirk on his face. She assumed that he knew that Bellamy was out of commission at the moment. She grabbed her knife and move protectively in front of him. If the grounder thought he had easy picking, he was wrong.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy nodded his head at her question. If by alright she meant alive, he was. But if by alright she meant could he walk . . . well, then no. And it was going to be quickly discovered. Her gentle touch on his arm was appreciated, but soon after a loud sound distracted them both . . . and as she moved back, her foot pressed against his injured one. He let out a groan of pain as he pulled back, returning to his leaned position against the tree . . . which didn't last long. An all too familiar face emerged through the rain, a sinister smirk on his face. Bellamy wouldn't be at all surprised if the Grounder had known about this trap all along. If he wanted his revenge, well, he was now going to try and get it. Bellamy immediately stood straight, putting most of his weight on the side of him that wasn't impaired.
Annika positioned herself in front of him, drawing out her weapon. Once again, Bellamy appreciated it but he wasn't about to let serve as a shield. Better him, than her. He raised his gun, aiming it at the Grounder and this time, didn't hesitate to shoot. He pulled the trigger but all that was heard was a click. Damn it! Bellamy tried again, but only another small click could be heard. Piece of shit was jammed. Which wasn't a surprise considering the state of the bullets. The Grounder was made all too aware of this as he charged forward. Bellamy reacted quickly, pushing Annika to the side -- away from the massive hole that served as a trap -- so that she would be out of the way from the Grounder's attack. He managed to do so just in the nick of time, before he felt the grounder ram him to the ground.
Bellamy used the gun to block the attack that would have come with the Grounder's drawn blade as he swung at him. With the Grounder on top of him, and Bellamy pressed into the ground on his back, he was at a disadvantage. But still, he wouldn't give up. He couldn't even tell Annika to run cause well, where would she go? It wasn't safe out there and he wasn't about to let anything happen to her or send her off with the illusion that she would be safer out of sight . . . which wasn't the case. Bellamy used the handle of his gun to hit the Grounder's face as hard as he could. The enemy was startled for only a second, but then made a strategy play. He squeezed Bellamy's already injured food, causing him to stifle a yell, though it was expressive on his face.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She had stepped on his injured foot. Before the Grounder had attacked them, she looked back at him. But then, he pushed her to the other side. She landed on her stomach and then she looked back. The grounder had tackled him in more ways than one. She pulled herself up, feet slipping in the mud. The grounder got a cheat shot, grabbing Bell by his injured foot. She stared down at the grounder and pulled out her knife. She didn't care if it was a coward move to kill from the behind, the grounder was going to kill Bellamy if she didn't do something.
She stared for a moment. Then she just full out ran. She wasn't able to get enough speed as it was muddy and slippery, but she had the element of surprise on her hand. She'd tackle the Grounder from his left side with all of her weight, throwing him off of Bellamy and her going with him. Landing on her side, she'd quickly scramble to her feet and then stab the grounder in the chest. His eyes would stare at her for a moment in shock until the life died out of them. Then she'd shakily pull back and land on her rump, staring at the dead grounder.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT The intense pain was hindering Bellamy from being able to do anything else as the Grounder's weight was practically crushing him. Fortunately, he didn't have long to think of an idea for the next thing he knew, the Grounder was being pushed off of him. Annika. Bellamy's eyes quickly went to what was happening, prepared to leap up if necessary. The adrenaline and need to protect her would overpower the pain, at least for the time being. But within seconds, the sharp blade she wielded pierced the chest of the man, as he fell lifelessly the ground.
He was dead. Grounders didn't pretend. If it hadn't killed him, he would have just pulled out the blade and counter the attack. But he didn't move. Bellamy lay on the ground for a few additional moments, trying to catch his breath and compose himself enough to move, but the intense pain was coursing through him. Seeing Annika was motivation for him to get up. He saw the way her hand trembled, the way she stared at the body . . . she had never killed anyone before.
It was not something that was easy to move past the first time. Some of the delinquents were in here for murder, but some were in here for crimes as simple as stealing. He didn't know exactly what she had done, but she didn't seem like the overly, violent or murderous type. Now, she had taken a life. It was in self defense, and she had saved his life as well . . . but he knew that sometimes, it didn't make it any easier to cope with. Which was why he wanted to help her through this in whatever way he could.
He pushed himself to his feet, limping over to where she stood, gently putting one hand on her shoulder while the other gently and carefully took the blade that she had pulled and now clutched in her hand. "You did what you had to do," he told her in a low, but strong voice, filled with sincerity. "You saved my life. You protected your own." A reminder, that she had done this, because if she hadn't, the Grounder would have killed him and then her. That was what she needed to remember right now. That was what she needed to focus on. "You did what you had to do," he repeated, wanting her to concentrate on that more so than the fact that there was now a dead person lying in front of them.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She had acted in mere seconds. She had no clue what she was going to think after it. The shock over the fact that she had killed someone made her numb. When she felt the hand on her shoulder, she ignored it. When the knife was slipped out of her hands, she let him take it. She just stared, horror washing over her over what she had done. But, she needed to. She had needed to actually. If she hadn't, neither of the would have been there. She looked up at Bellamy.
She nodded at his words, not speaking. She'd slowly stand up and go to wrap her arm under his to help support him while he walked. Well, that is if he wanted the help. She didn't speak, just stared. Her body was shaking from the little bit of adrenaline that was left in her system. Of all things that could have happened, she had not expected killing someone would be on the list. The people on the Ark had thought she had killed her parents. But it was obvious she couldn't even cope with killing someone that was trying to kill her and someone else.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Once Bellamy had the knife in his hand he hobbled over to where there was a bush, and began to wipe the blood off the weapon. Once it was clean, he passed it back to her as she neared him, putting her arm around him. He appreciated the support, but feared that he would be too much weight for her. He didn't want to make the trek back more difficult for Annika. "Hang on," he told her, limping back over to the tree he had previously used to keep himself up. He reached up toward a branch and pulled it off. Checking the length, he would have to use it to help him move.
Taking a small stick, he went to the Grounder body, pulling a scrap of cloth off of him and used it to wrap the smaller stick around his leg to serve as a brace. It was all he could do for the time being until he got back to camp and may need someone to check it for him. But that would be a last resort. Letting it heal was the only solution. With the former tree branch in hand to serve as a crutch, he picked up the gun and slung it over his shoulder before looking at Annika with a nod. "Let's go," he stated, as he took the first time, making sure she was near. They were going to move far more slowly than he would have liked, but what choice was there. At least the rain was calming down a little. And with any luck, they would not encounter any more grounders.
Once they had gotten back to the camp, Octavia's immediate concern prompted him to go straight to Clarke. He appreciated the worry from both females, even if it wasn't necessary. Clarke promptly build a sort of makeshift cast for his foot with what materials they had, telling him he would have to stay off of it for a little while. Yeah right. He hated being temporarily impaired so after he had gotten a little bit of rest, he left his tent, limping outside as he refused to stay lying down and thus useless for too long. So much for listening to the medical expert. Clarke had helped him as much as she could -- which he never doubted. But he needed to do something, anything to be productive. Even if it was just to check on Annika to see how she was coping with taking a life out of necessity.

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved He had cleaned her knife and handed it back to her. He gave it back to her and she put it away without even thinking. All her movements were almost like a robots. Purely instinctual and not having to think about it. When he told her to wait, she stopped and watched him move. He made a...brace? She had no clue, but it seemed to keep the leg straight. She avoided looking at the grounder when he went to it, instead turning to look at the tree's. When he came back, she nodded.
When they finally reached camp, Bellamy was bombarded by his sister. She moved away at a slight distance, giving them space and time. She went with him to Clarke and then she went to her tent. She layed down on her sleeping bag, staring up at the tents ceiling. She tried to close her eyes to sleep, but the grounder came back. She then finally decided that she was going to go out and do something...productive. Something that made her take her mind off of it. When she opened the tents "door" she ran straight into Bellamy. She was about to snap before she realized it. Composing herself, she gave him a forced smile.
Uh...Hi Bellamy. She said, raking her hand through her hair. She'd move to the side to give him room. Uh, do you want to come in? She asked, remembering her manners. She was dressed in her work clothes, almost like the ones that they had been hunting in. Except without the blood. Hopefully he'd see that she was going to go out and do something and wouldn't take forever with whatever he was going to tell her.
