Name: Fox Dawes
Nick Name: Fox
Affiliation: Arker
Age: 16
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
Physical Appearance: Fox is slim and slender, her frame dainty and poised. She looks fragile and dainty, thin. This appearance can cause people to look softly on her, protectively. She doesn't use it in a cunning way however, it's an outward reflection on her inner self. Her hair is long and a dark brown that borders on black. It's surprisingly well maintained what with the tools they have, kept with two side partings, rather straight. A little straggly at times, but otherwise neat. Her face is a pointed oval, with deep brown eyes a little thin, pale red lips prominent. Her skin tone is a pale white. Curved arches of eyebrows cascade over her eyes.
Height: 5’7.
Portrayed by: Genevieve Buechner
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
Personality: Fox is easily frightened, a skittish nature that will get scared easily at threat. Nervous. However, with this she can also show bravery in the face of danger. Pain is something she strays away from. She's a kind and warm-hearted loving girl at the corner, sweet and caring. She bonds easily, a friendly sort, and is also /very/ trusting. She's curious and questioning but on the whole, accepts and appreciates, respecting authority. She can break easily sadly, shattering with a panic, freezing up. She's a friendly and happy girl, full of life and enjoyment.
Special Skills: None really, but she is a girl people can quickly warm up to.

Birthplace: The Ark.
Family: Esme Dawes (Mother). Thomas Dawes (Father).
Occupation: Bellamy's Militia/Delinquent
History: Fox was born on the Ark, to Esme and Thomas Dawes, reasonably respected members of the Ark. As part of her upbringing, her parents kept her quite sheltered from the ways of some there, as well as teaching her manners and respect. This may have contributed to her easily frightened nature later on in life. They were very protective of their child and tried to give her the best they could with the minimal means The Ark had. She attended classes and paid decent attention in them, perhaps a little more effort than some, understanding the pain the teachers who had a genuine enthusiasm may feel if they didn't pay attention.
Her life wasn't that exciting, she attended classes and events like the rest, lived life. However, that all changed around with a mishap at the age of fifteen, a year before she was sent to the ground. A girl like Fox, you wouldn't expect to be a criminal, but life threw misfortune at her. Her mother, wrongfully accused of a crime by a petty spite of another Ark member, might have been floated if it wasn't for her thoughtful daughter. Though terrified at doing so, Fox claimed it was her who committed the crime, theft, though she was innocent. She knew she had a chance her mother didn't due to her age.
She was kept in the Sky Boxes for a year until they were sent to the ground. Needless to say, she was nervous but settled in, trying to have a good time on the dropship down.
She kept relatively quiet, not physically fighting but there, supportive and doing what she could. When the Grounders came, she was a good warming, she kept her eyes up. She got on well with most, she was a warm girl who kept spirits up and just made life a little more happy. She did her bit, and all seemed well.
But then the Mountain Men came and Foxes life was turned even more upside down. She liked it at first. She felt safe and cared for, like she could be at peace. Nice food and pretty clothing, nice people. Fox held romantic ideals and this place seemed to hold some of them. It was good. However, the drilling started and a prominent fear grew within her. She was terrified at the thought of dying that way. Forming close friendships with Jasper, Harper and Monty, she hoped they could keep one another safe.
When she was the taken one, she was scared senseless, hyperventilating with utter fear. Paralysed with horror, a nightmare becoming reality. Bellamy intervened though like a golden hero and she warmed up more than quick. She'd respected him enough from his leadership, but he'd now saved her. Holding on tight to him in a hug, she's felt comfort from his presence since.
When they were all in the chamber, bone marrow swiftly being taken, she was chosen yet again and this time there wasn't an escape. Trapped, she wept out again and again as the drill went in, fear encapsulating every cell in her body, clothing stained by tears and blood. Hell on Earth and she was petrified and hurt.
Five treatments later and she was on the brink of death. Pain agonizing all over, but she was weakened and could barely speak at this point. Her eyes were starting to shut, the room dim. She could just make out the shapes of her friends around her, turning to blurs combined with the overpowering noise of the drill as it whirred into her skin, flesh, blood and bone for the sixth time in a row. Letting out a final whimper as the bone marrow was taken, she let out her final breath, dead from the thing she feared. Her body was shoved down the chute, crumpling up lifeless.
