Octavia Blake
I don't want to survive. I want to live.
The first thing she remembered about Earth, was the green. Everything had been green. Her whole life she had lived it in the same lock up cell, with the same four grey walls, and the same video screen. She had talked to the same people, and done the same thing. Here, everything was green. It smelled green. Maybe that wasn't the color it's self that was the sweet smell, but she didn't know how to describe it--her schooling at been limited.
You see, Octavia Blake had been born a second child, and caught early on. Her mother had been floated for the offense, and the baby taken to a home until she was able to be on her own. She knew her mother's name, and she knew her brother's name. She didn't know their faces, or anything about them. Just a name. It took her a few years to even realize that it wasn't fair, or become bitter over what they were doing too her. Not that it mattered, she was sent to Earth with 99 others to test to see if it was able to hold life once again--and apparently it had always held life.
Out of 99, most where dead. They either fell to the grounders, or to the mountain. She was one of the strong ones, or so she had been told. It was why she was walking out of the mountain rather then dying in it. After landing on Earth, they had fought for their lives against the grounds (MOST of whom hated them for just landed but she'd met one who wanted peace). Just when winning was in sight, the mountain men had come and taken them. At first it was wonderful, food, freedom, and safety. Then it was hell. Octavia had been pulled into a room, and strapped to a table--when another man walked in and with three quick and deadly shots freed her. He didn't give his name, but said he was with the Ark and they needed to move. Octavia had been fascinated with the grounds for their strength, and she found herself equally so with the man who saved her. Jumping from the table she hugged him, before moving to run with him. Once they got to the others, he left them to survive.
It wasn't until she was walking out that she even thought to ask his name. 'Bellamy,' they told her, 'Bellamy Blake'. Blake. He was her brother. After finding this out she numbly walked forward, trying to wrap her mind around that her brother was here. She had met him. Saw him. Hugged him. It made her want to find him again! Which took her a while, as she had been one of the first few out, and he one of the last. Sitting to pretend to rest, Octavia waited until she saw him walking her way. She felt nervous, and excited, and afraid, and bold all at once. She was terrified to walk up to him and ask him if it was true, but nothing could stop her.
Jumping up from her seat as he was passing, she called out. "Hey," Bellamy. Her lips almost said the word but no breath would come out. "Hey you," Moving closer she fell into step beside him. "Thanks for saving my life back there. It was really bad ass!" She liked to think she was bad ass too, as she had a sword on her back but hadn't learned to use it well. She'd killed with it before but only in that last fight against the grounder army. Her hair hung down her back, loose and she noticed it was almost the color of his. Her hair was straight but his was crazy curly. Looking at his face, she knew she was staring, but his noise looked at her's too. This. Was. Her. Brother. Oh wow. She had a brother. And he was huge. "What's your name?" She asked, wanting to hear it. Wanting proof, or just to hear him say it to make it real.
