He was surprised when asked to supervise some of the students, but he guessed with how many people died, they were actually running out of people who could fix things and know their way around cables that held current. Alex might be one of the few to actually be explicitly trained to handle high voltage mainly. The mechanics and engineers obviously knew enough, but to really get into the depths, they usually had one working alongside them. It was harder down there. So he waited for the kid to join him in fixing this part. These days training was more on the job than up in space. Again it was due to circumstances.
His waiting mostly consisted of taking the fist panels of the wall of, preparing where they would work on soon. When he heard someone approach he twisted a bit so he could see her. "Hey there." He called out to the girl. She was young. Somehow he didn't expect the kid to be so young though obviously he knew that this would be her age. He just somehow didn't expect it. "I guess you're working with me today. I'm Alex, though I think they might have told you to go to Lightbulb. That's me. Are you ready for a thrill?"

Love this template! words: 216 | Addy had been in need of learning some more about the job she had been pursuing since she landed on the ground. She knew about some little things but that didn't always help and she knew that. Being the stubborn person she is, she fought about going to the person for a while but in the end, she knew she would end up there like always, her mind always wins. After making sure she had her tools just in case she needed them, she was on her was looking for the person that was to be teaching her.
Making her way around Arkadia looking, she finally spotted someone near the fallen Ark with a panel from the wall out. At first, she cocked her head to the side thinking about what he was going to teach, it seemed like something she already knew but going to give the guy a chance anyone. Sighing she slowly made her way toward the guy but stopped as she debated turning around till she heard his voice. No going back now she thought “Hiya” she says giving him a smile “yep, that would be me!" she states “I’m Adelaide but I prefer Addy” she finished as she looked at him. She hoped she would learn something new that would help.
