Bryan couldn't stop smiling. If Bellamy could find this sort of happiness with Jackson, if the camp could come together to celebrate a happy occasion, instead of mourn tragedies and fight wars, maybe there was a chance he and Nate could one day have their farm house. On any other day, Bryan found it hard to believe, but on a day like today, Bryan was choosing to believe it. Maybe one day... he would have courage to ask Nate to marry him, or vice versa, and they would be in Bellamy and Jackson's shoes. The thought of getting married in a world like this where either one of them could die so easily was frightening, but today... Bryan wasn't scared for the first time in a long time.
They made their way to the reception after the ceremony, and Bryan led them over to get drinks. He didn't normally drink--especially not in excess--but this felt like an occasion for it. There were other guards watching the camp tonight, and Bryan wanted to dance with his boyfriend. A few sips of moonshine should be enough for him to bring it up... if Nate didn't first. And a few sips shouldn't incapacitate him if something went wrong either, even if he was a lightweight.
"I never thought I'd see anything like this on the ground," he admitted, his hand casually touching Nate, sliding over his shoulder and curling around his upper arm. He felt so unusually good that he knew his expression was probably flooded with affection as he looked at Nate over the rim of his cup as he took a drink. He glanced around the room at everyone else, all their smiles. "I almost think we needed this." We, as in the camp as a whole, needed a victory to celebrate that had nothing to do with bloodshed.Tag: Nathan Miller

Miller felt incredibly happy for both Bellamy and Jackson. Everyone had been through so damn much down here and it was nice for everyone to come together for a reason of joy rather than one which was grief stricken. Miller was among the fortunate, able to experience this with the man he loved. It was impossible for thoughts of such a union not to cross his own mind. Thinking of a future with Bryan, one where he could proudly call him his husband. It sounded right. Because being with Bryan felt so incrdibly right. Nate was pulled out of his thoughts, a smile forming on his lips as Bryan spoke of how he never thought to see anything like this on the ground. "Me neither," Nathan agreed, taking a drink in his hand.
"Last time I saw eveyone this happy was as soon as we landed and found out we were immune the radiation," he commented, only half joking. He still recalled the way everyone had just run amock, and basked in the joy of being free and on the ground. That, was short lived. "This seems more long lasting though," Nathan added, point out his own thought process and the obvious difference betwen this time and before. He turned to look at Bryan with his hand curled around his upper arm. "We did," he agreed, in regards to his remark about needing this. "We needed to celebrate something good." Miller's own gaze didn't bother to withhold the love he felt for the man he was with. "And I'm glad I can do that, with you." An unwavering smile on his lips, wanting Bryan to know just how much Miller appreciate him. Everything about him.

Bryan smiled as Nate revealed he hadn't seen them looks so happy since their first day on the ground. Farm station hadn't been so lucky to get a breather for a moment, and he was glad the kids in lockup had, even if it was short lived. Bryan took in his boyfriend's gaze as he continued talking, seeing the love there and knowing his own gaze would reflect equal love right back.
"Me too," he said, when Nate said he was glad he could spend this moment with Bryan. They had been through so much. Struggled through so much. But they were still together. "There isn't anyone else I would rather be here with," he added, which was mushy as fuck, but it was a wedding, after all. The hand on Nate's arm slid over his shoulder as he took another drink of his moonshine. To distract from his mushy words, he said, "Who do you have dibs on getting sloppy drunk first?" He grinned, glancing around the room, his eyes briefly pausing on Jasper and the guy he had a feeling was his boyfriend. Or would be soon, if it wasn't official yet. "Jasper seems to be holding it together lately." Meaning, his money was not on Jasper to get sloppy drunk, for probably the first time since Bryan had been on the ground with him.Tag: Nathan Miller

Miller couldn't help but feela warmth course through him from Bryan's words; of not wanting to be here with anyone else. Miller knew he was lucky. More lucky than most. His father was still alive and here with them, and the man he loved was still alive and with him. It was never something he would take for granted, even if he never knew how to fully express his relief. Or how much they truly meant to them. Bryan's words distracted him from these thoughts as he smirked with amusement, his eyes also joining his partner's in scanning over the crowd. When Bryan made a comment about Jasper, Miller's eyes rest on him. The two of them had certainly drifted apart, considering their friendship on the Ark. But, this place had changed a lot of them. And, it seemed Jasper was slowly finding a reason to smile.
"At least thats some more good news," Miller said with a smile. He hadn't known how to help Jasper cope with Mount Weather, just as he didn't know how to help certain others in the aftermath. At least the guy seemed to have found a reason to well, not drink so heavily. "Maybe Bree," Miller suggested. "She's known to get a bit . . . .wild," he said with a slight chuckle. To say the least. He then turned his gaze back to Bryan. "If you wanna get that drunk, I'll make sure you get home safe," Miller said teasingly to Bryan, knowing he wasn't the type of guy to get sloppy drunk. Which only made his amused smile strengthen at the tease.
