David Miller is the highest ranking member of the Guard under Marcus Kane! He is a loving father, having lost his wife when Miller was at a young age. The way I sort of see their relationship being is that David and Nathan were both incredibly close as Nathan grew up. When he got into his teenage years, he started rebelling against his father's disciplinary methods of parenting and rejected any thought of being in the guard, which I figured would be an expected path for him to take. If someone is interest in taking him, I am of course willing to rework some of these details! I think the two of them have an adorable relationshipn from the few scenes we saw and would love to delve deeper into it. We can have threads on the Ark, threads on the ground when they are reunited, threads where they are both on the guard together . . . and Papa Miller is coming back in season 4 so there's always new scenes to look forward to!
