Ragnar's appearance is as wild as you would imagine a Grounder man to look like. The shaved sides of his head and his beard make him look even more dangerous. The piercing blue of his eyes make them one of his most mesmerizing features, having instilled fear in many an opponent as they seem to pierce right into their souls, matching the ice that his region is known for.

Ragnar is known for being a brutal and cruel warrior and him and his fighters are feared by many Trikru villages, having already wiped out a few of them. He doesn't only fight with brutal force though, using clever strategies and tactics as well as strength. Being under his protection is a blessing because he would give his last drop of blood for those he loves and cares for. He's extremely loyal and would give his life for the royal family and the leaders of his clan.

From the very first day of his life, Ragnar was destined to be a great warrior. As soon as he could walk, his father had him start his training and most hours of his life were dedicated to being taught how to fight and how to lead an army and work out strategies to triumph over his opponents. His father once was the Chief of their small Azgeda village and Ragnar became Second to the new Chief when his father was killed in battle. He worked hard and proved his worth although he was faced with a lot of heartache.
His beloved wife had already given him a daughter and when she was with child again, he was sure that she would bear a son. Both she and their unborn child were taken from him though and the only thing he could do was becoming more savage toward Ice Nation's enemies. His chances to show his enemies the magnitute of his clan's strength became even greater when his Chief was killed in battle and he was made the new Chief of his village. He knew that this position came with a great responsibility but he'd trained his whole life to take on such a task.
