Wanted: Arlin's brothers
Ando (older warrior brother)
Ando is three years older than Arlin (currently 24) and grew up looking out for her. When they were kids, Arlin tended to follow him around like a shadow and often dragged him into exploring the woods with her. She’s pretty much the center of his world. He would do anything for her. Until he gets chipped, at which point he tortures his little sister into joining the City of Light. Arlin’s having a hard time forgiving him for that, so there’s lots of opportunity for angst here. Ando feels like the only way to redeem himself is to restore his sister's hope, and he's ready to to anything necessary. As far as personality, Ando is a loyal warrior, level-headed realist, and protective big brother. Arlin is the best at making him smile, and he tries hard to make her happy. Any other info is up to whoever takes him. As is the face claim, so long as you pick someone who looks like they could be related to Arlin. Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) or George Paul Blagden (Vikings) might work, but I’m open to anyone.
Rion (younger Nightblood brother)
Rion is a Nightblood taken from his family at the age of four and raised in Polis until he was thirteen. He was killed by Ontari along with the other Nightbloods. He’s a sweet boy who does well enough at his training, partly because he’s eager to please, but he would rather help others than fight. Deep down he knows he lacks the harshness to win the conclave. But instead of giving up, that just motivates him to help the others do better. His older sister adored him as a little boy, and upon moving to Polis she works hard to become trusted enough to be around the Nightbloods. Arlin pretends to have no connection to Rion so she’ll be allowed around him. But I have this idea that Rion eventually connects his faded memories of his sister to the scout in front of him and plays along to keep seeing her. They have to keep it secret, so most of their relationship is meaningful looks and whispered fragments and stolen hugs in empty hallways. But we could always do AUs where they're allowed to have a relationship or Rion’s not a Nightblood or he escapes Ontari’s slaughter and runs away with Arlin. I really like Dylan Schmid (Once Upon a Time) for the face claim, but I'm pretty flexible so long as the actor looks like they could be related to Arlin.
