The results of the tests done on the new arrivals in Mount Weather had been, without any better way to describe it, a miracle. There was no doubt that these people would be much better candidates to help the residents get out of Mount Weather than the Outsiders were. The spread of the news about the results had led to higher ups being in higher spirits. These people included Emerson. His face had seemed to stuck in the position of a smile, his mind wondering to what life would be like out in the son. Above all, Emerson dreamed of his sons being able to grow up in a place that wasn't just the inside of a mountain. He wanted to see them running in the grass, playing in the mud and swimming in the rivers. He wanted them to have the life that people used to have, the life they all had a right to live. It was a big dream but there was suddenly a possibility for it and it was sitting right in the mountain with no way to escape. Since their arrival, things hadn't exactly gone to plan. There had already been an attempted escape and Emerson was worried the paranoia of the group's leader might cause the rest of them to panic. Everyone in Mount Weather was doing their best to make the people from space feel completely at home but obviously it wasn't working for the one particular woman. Emerson felt like he needed to know why. Emerson also felt that he needed one of the teenagers on his side. So, for that reason, he talked with people who had been in contact with the group and came out with the person for what he needed. John Murphy. The young man had been taken from outside the camp, more beat up than a lot of the others that had been taken, and it was quite obvious that he wasn't a welcome part of the group. And that was putting it nicely. Reports that Emerson had been given said that he was hated by the rest of the group. He sounded like the perfect guy, someone who could be persuaded or even coerced into doing what Emerson needed him to. He was perfect. With a grin on Emerson's face, he waited in the room in which he had organised to meet Murphy at--he had also been informed that was the name he was usually called. "Come in," Emerson said at the sound of a knock on the door. He stood up, straightening out his pants and took a step forward to stand in front of the teenager and guard who had entered the room. "Good afternoon, Murphy. My name's Emerson. Please have a seat." Quickly gesturing that the other guard could leave the room, Emerson smiled politely at Murphy and returned to his seat. He nodded towards the other seat in further encourgement for Murphy to sit as well. CARL EMERSON ------------ A big delay in starting this thread. Let me know if you want anything changed! (: |
