.:Name:. Tulip .:Nick Name:. N/A .:Affiliation:. Grounder | Trikru .:Age:. 15 (s1), 16 by the end of s3
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. The most notiable thing of Tulip's appearance, almost to the point of a joke with her name, is the fact that she almost always has a single flower in her hair. This quirk was picked up through finding an old and grungy picture showing a girl with a flower in her hair, and is only encouraged by the fact that she knows where all the best flowers grow. Other than that, Tulip has long black wavy hair and dark brown eyes. She has a small frame without the harshness of battle--no scars or anything of that sort. She has muscle but it's lean, only built up from the active lifestyle her family lives. Her clothing sense tends to be finding the brightest fabrics possible, finding enjoyment in matching clothing to the flower in her hair.
.:Height:. 5'2" .:Portrayed by:. Auli'i Cravalho

.:Personality:. One would wonder if Tulip is really a grounder. With no interest in the harsh war and politics that seem to run the lives of many, Tulip lives a rather peaceful life with an innocence that can be hard to find in a cruel world. Tulip holds a positive view of the world, seeing it as something that creates beauty and supports her and everyone else on it. She knows all the plants and all their uses. She is always smiling and happy, a girl that likes to both work hard and play hard, although she would much rather being doing the second. She loves people as well, always keen to meet others although her rather unique view of the world can make it difficult to get along with everyone. To an outsider she holds a childlike innocence, seeing nothing bad, and that isn't far off the truth. While that innocence doesn't stray to all parts of her, she is naive enough to believe that the bad things won't ever touch her.
This positivity in her personality changes, however, with her experience in the City of Light. Due to the actions that she had come to face while being controlled by ALIE, Tulip's perfect view of the world has been smashed into pieces so small, she doesn't think she'll ever be able to put them back together. Her view of the Earth hasn't changed but her view of other people has. Her trust for people has been lost, even her trust in herself. More careful in her movements, more isolated, Tulip has lost her identity and is unsure of how to continue in her life.
.:Special Skills:. Plant knowledge, since her parents collected and sold all sorts of plants.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Trikru territory - an out of the way residence in a small Trikru village. .:Family:. Mother and father - collect plants to sell; younger brother (Hawthorn) and sister (Roisin) .:Occupation:. Sells plants at market like parents
.:History:. Let's get this straight right up: Tulip's upbringing wasn't too interesting. Her parents were pretty cut off from a lot of grounder culture. They were travelers, moving around Trikru territory to collect different plants and sell them at markets and in villages. Her parents collected edible plants, medicinal plants and even flowers on occasion, although those didn't sell as well. They never got involved in fighting or wars, never expected their children to become warriors and even tried to keep them from that sort of culture, although that didn't always work. Tulip's younger brother play faught with other kids whenever they came across them and he wanted to be a warrior. He even started picking up bits of English, whereas Tulip knows nothing but one or two sparse words.
This upbringing, of course, left Tulip was a very innocent view of the world, a view not shared by other grounders. When the city of light came about and the news of it making people completely happy, how could Tulip be anything but excited? She took the key without hesitation and that is where her story really begins. Her little sister, as small as she was, looked up to Tulip and took the key as well. Her brother, however, was stubborn and needed convincing. In all that ALIE had Tulip do, the worst of that was making her torture her own brother. Even though Tulip couldn't really remember that he was her brother until after the City of Light was gone. He was the closest thing she really had to pain and disappointment, him and his warrior loving ways.
Torture may not even be the right word. Not really. Not since he didn't survive the torture and was dead well before the City of Light was taken down, well before anyone would really help him. Tulip never really knew pain until then and she thought she was going to die when it all hit her. The pain in her physical body from climbing the tower felt like nothing when compared to the pain of losing her brother and be the reason for his death. It only resulted in her being unable to face her parents and snapping at her little sister to scare her away. What could she do now?

.:Name or Online Alias:. Margie .:How Did You Find Us:. There's this thing where you see other people talking about making new characters and suddenly you're thinking about that cute actor you wanted to use for a char and that character idea you had the other day and suddenly you have a name and a new account and the history is starting to come together in your head and a personality forms through that...you know that thing, right? New char 1 of...2? Hopefully not 3. Will not be 3. I have a problem where my "no"s become "yes" though....
